Ashley Nicole Evelyn, 24, lifelong area resident, died unexpectedly Tuesday evening, July 29, 2008, at Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland after her nearly six-year battle with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome Type 4.
She was born Aug. 23, 1983, in Fort Morgan to Douglas and Terri (Weber) Evelyn. She attended Fort Morgan schools and graduated from Fort Morgan High School with the class of 2001. Ashley had worked at Morgan Federal Bank, First American Cash Advance and Wal-Mart in Fort Morgan. At the time of her death she was a legal technician for the Department of Human Services in Fort Morgan.
Ashley was a member of Christ Congregational Church in Fort Morgan. She enjoyed bowling, playing softball and going to the lake. She especially enjoyed devoting her time to her daughter, Trinity.
She is survived by her husband, Jason Weiss, and daughter, Trinity Weiss, of Brush; her mother and stepfather, Terri and Kevin Lanckriet of Fort Morgan; her father and stepmother, Doug and Dorothy Evelyn of Casper, Wyo.; her brother, Zach Evelyn of Brush; and her sister, Lacee Evelyn of Fort Collins. She is also survived by her stepsister, Tara Schmitt of Fort Collins; her maternal grandfather, Ed Weber of Fort Morgan; her paternal grandparents, Ron and Lorna Evelyn of Kimball, Neb.; her step-grandparents, Henry and Irene Lanckriet of Julesburg; and her paternal great-grandmother, Ruth Bierly of Kimball, Neb.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Joanne Weber; her uncle, Robin Weber; and her stepsister, Jennifer Gayle.
Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 1, 2008 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Heer Mortuary in Fort Morgan. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008 at Christ Congregational Church, 730 Ensign St. in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens in Fort Morgan.
Memorials may be made to the Ehlers Danlos Foundation or to the Trinity Weiss Scholarship fund in care of the Heer Mortuary, 225 E. Platte Ave., Fort Morgan, CO 80701.

Isaiah Manuel Perez

Isaiah Manuel Perez, 9-month-old son of Rocky Perez and Amanda Leann Holbert, died Sunday at the Colorado Plains Medical Center in Fort Morgan.
The infant was born Oct. 14, 2007, in Fort Morgan.
Survivors include his parents; one brother, Siverio Perez; great-grandparents, Donato and Tracy Holbert of Wiggins and Manuel and Clara Perez of Brush.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday at the Heer Mortuary in Fort Morgan.
Funeral services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Life Fellowship Four Square Church in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens.

Larry White
1940 - 2008
Retired executive at Coors
Larry Jack White, 67, died Wednesday at his home in Denver from a long-term illness.
White was born Sept. 26, 1940, to Turley and Marcella White of Fort Morgan. He moved to Arvada in 1966 when starting his career at Adolph Coors. He had a very successful and wonderful career of 30 years. In 1995 he moved to Denver.
He enjoyed helping people. White was a strong leader in the community and strived to make Denver an enriched and wonderful place to live. He loved to take his grandchildren to the Bronco games and the Denver Zoo.
White is survived by his daughter, Natalie L. Rudow, and son, Patrick J., both of Atlanta Ga.; a sister, Alice Graff of Fort Morgan; two brothers, Floyd of Pueblo and Richard of Tucson, Ariz.; two grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Velma Stertz and Shirley Schutter; and brothers, Archie, Roy and Gary White.

Edith Hubbard
1914 - 2008
Moved to Morgan County in 1978
Edith Hubbard, 94, died Monday, July 21, at the East Morgan County Hospital in Brush.
Mrs. Hubbard was born Jan. 31, 1914, in Parawon, Utah, to James and Lottie Pendelton. She married Leon E. Hubbard on Dec. 25, 1942, in Leoti, Kan. The Hubbard family lived in the Burlington community from 1951 until they moved to Morgan County in 1978.
Survivors include four children, James Hubbard of Santa Clarita, Calif., Donald Hubbard of Durham, N.C., Dean Hubbard of Fargo, N.D., and Sharon Burton of Fairbanks, Alaska; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon; one sister; two brothers; and her parents.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the All Saints Lutheran Church at Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush. The service will conclude at the church.
A reception will follow at Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center.

Sue Baer
1942 - 2008
Raised sons to be successful businessmen
Sue Baer, 66, passed away suddenly Friday, July 25, 2008, at her home near Wiggins.
She was born April 14, 1942, in Fort Morgan to Harry and Beatrice Krening. Sue had lived in Morgan County most all her life. She graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 1960. On June 19, 1960, she married Raymond R. Baer in Fort Morgan.
Sue was a tireless worker in farming and the family business in Wiggins. She was an awesome mother of three sons and she raised them to be successful businessmen in Colorado. Sue adored her kids and grandkids, and loved to watch all of their sporting events. She loved her dog, Wally. She enjoyed bowling, Central City, walking, pets, gardening and cooking. She will be remembered as one who gave her all to family and friends. Sue was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her mother, Beatrice Krening of Brush; three sons, Steve Baer and wife Jennifer and their children, Brandon and Brienna, all of Wiggins, Alan Baer and wife Lor, and their children, Brittini and Logan Mauro, Brady and Jordan Baer, all of Akron, Colo., and Tim Baer and wife Mary Beth and their children, Michael and Matthew, all of Parker, Colo.; her brother, Jim Krening, and his wife, Donna, of Eaton, Colo.; and one niece, Ceri Krening of Denver.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her father.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 800 Sherman in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens. Hermina Keithline
1928 - 2008
Worked as nurse at Fort Morgan hospital
Hermina “Minnie” Johanna Keithline, 79, of Windsor died Saturday at the NCMC Hospice Inpatient Unit in Greeley from complications of leukemia.
Mrs. Keithline was born Aug. 19, 1928, in Hawthorne, N.J., to Johannes G. and Hermina B. (Klooster) Van Hillo. She was a 1946 graduate of Fitchburg High School in Fitchburg, Mass., and attended the New England Deaconess Hospital, where she graduated as a registered nurse in 1950. She then moved to Los Angeles, Calif.
She married James Keithline Sr. on Aug. 14, 1954, in Las Vegas, Nev. Having moved to Colorado in 1973, she worked at the Fort Morgan Community Hospital until her retirement in 1994. She also worked as a nurse in Massachusetts, Kansas and California.
They moved from Fort Morgan to Windsor in 1996. She became an active member of the Weld County Genealogy Society, being named Genealogist of the Year for 2004-05. She loved volunteering her time at the LDS library and Weld County Library in the genealogy department and would talk to anyone about genealogy. She was also a member of the Weld County Questers group.
Survivors include her sons, James Keithline Jr. of Tulsa, Okla., Theodore Keithline of Boise, Idaho, and Kenneth Keithline of Longmont; daughters, Johanna Habayeb of Greeley, Patricia Osborn of Windsor, Elizabeth Keithline of Charlotte, N.C., and Debra Sublett of Wichita, Kan.; a brother, Jacob Van Hillo of Windsor; 18 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James, Sr.; a brother John; and her great-granddaughter, Abigail Waldron.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Allnutt Macy Chapel.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Allnutt Funeral Service — Macy Chapel. Interment will be held at Loveland Burial Park.

Herman E. Hoffman
1926 - 2008
Enjoyed fishing, camping and travel
Herman E. Hoffman, 82, died Sunday at his home in Denver.
Hoffman was born March 9, 1926, in Fort Morgan to Jacob and Katherine (Eckhardt) Hoffman. He married Dorothy Geist on Jan. 16, 1949, in Fort Morgan.
He attended the Heritage Community Church in Arvada.
Hoffman was a member of the Teamsters Union #435 while he worked and the Retired Teamsters after his retirement.
He enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling. Spending time with his family was important to him.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy of Denver; two sons, Darrell H. Hoffman of Wheat Ridge and Roger E. Hoffman of Aurora; one daughter, Ronda K. Bowen of Lochbuie; two brothers, Leroy Hoffman of Longmont and Jerry Hoffman of Parker; two sisters, Helen Reiber of Commerce City and Edna Kalous of Brush; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Raymond and Jim Hoffman; and four sisters, Evelyn Winder, Rachel Hoffman, Leona Miller and Beverly Moses.
There will be a visitation Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Heer Mortuary in Fort Morgan.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens.

Joyce Hendrickson
1926 - 2008
Met future husband when she was 10 years old
Joyce R. Curtis was born in St. Francis, Kan., on July 22, 1926, to Velma (Walker) and John Curtis. The family moved to Fort Morgan, Colo., in 1935.
Joyce and Lynn Hendrickson met when she was 10 and they walked to school together. They had been a couple since the sixth grade when Lynn carried her books home from school. From 1935 to 1945 they were close companions, going to movies and church, playing as kids with family members and friends along the Platte River from the Dodge Bridge to Sherman Street. Joyce and Lynn were married Jan. 30, 1945, in St. Francis, Kan. They started their married life in Fort Morgan, moving to Wiggins in 1954.
Joyce worked at various jobs throughout her adult life. She worked at the Fort Morgan Laundry, the Wiggins Potato dock and the Heinz Pickle dock. Joyce also volunteered at the Wiggins School and did in-home day care for over 30 years. Her greatest achievement in life was that of a devoted and faithful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She took great pride in her family and was always excited to welcome a new grandbaby into our family.
Joyce went to be with our Lord and Saviour on Friday July 18, 2008.
She is survived by Lynn, her husband of 63 years; her children. Connie and John Roberts of Grand Junction, Colo., Terry and Kathy Hendrickson of Wiggins, Laurie and Curt Martin of Grand Junction, and Scott and Deb Hendrickson of Lodgepole, Neb.; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by two brothers, Jim and Marelyn Curtis of Vancouver, Wash., and Peter Rackford of Austin, Texas; two sisters, Lucille Wilhelmson of Fort Morgan and Marj and Lyall Cabe of Grand Junction.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Merlin Curtis of Fort Morgan and one granddaughter.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, at the Wiggins Community Church with interment following at Memory Gardens in Fort Morgan. A reception for friends and family will be held at the Wiggins Community Church following the services. Memorial donations may be made to the Wiggins Community Church.

Doris Gulley
1921 - 2008
4-H leader for many years
Doris M. Gulley, 87, life resident of the Kirk and Stratton, Colo., communities, passed away late Thursday, July 17, 2008, at the Sunset Manor Nursing Home in Brush, Colo.
She was born June 27, 1921, in Kirk, Colo., to Gilbert and Helen Meade. Following graduation from Kirk High School, Doris married Ralph Gulley. Prior to retirement, Doris had worked as a clerk at the Kirk Post Office.
Doris was a member of the Stratton United Methodist Church. She had served as a local and state officer in the Home Demonstration Club and was a 4-H leader for many years. She enjoyed playing bridge, golfing and traveling with friends. She especially looked forward to spending time with her family.
Survivors include one daughter, Faith Cannady of Brush; one brother, Doran Meade of Cañon City, Colo.; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Eldon; one sister, Jackie Smith; one brother, Dennis Meade; and her parents.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 23, at 1:30 p.m. at the Kirk United Methodist Church in Kirk. Interment will follow in the Kirk Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Heer Mortuary in Brush on Tuesday from 1 to 5 p.m.

Frances Sailsbery Kelley
1922 - 2008
Weldona naive enjoyed traveling
Frances Sailsbery Kelley, 85, died Tuesday at the Garden Square at Westlake Assisted Living Facility in Greeley.
Mrs. Kelley was born Sept. 22, 1922 in Weldona to B.D. and Eleanora (Lemons) Sailsbery.
She graduated from Fort Morgan High School and attended Barnes School in Denver. After school, she moved East to further her education. She married Maurice J. Kelley.
She enjoyed traveling and had been to several foreign countries. She also enjoyed time alone.
Mrs. Kelley retired in 1982 and moved from New York to Scottsdale, Ariz. She moved back to Colorado in 2003, due to ill health, to be closer to her family.
Survivors include brothers, Art Sailsbery of Wheatridge, Robert Sailsbery of Chico, Calif., and Richard Sailsbery of Fort Morgan; sisters, Doris Kennedy of Spring Valley, Calif., and Phyllis Gueswel of Edgewood, N.M.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Maurice, two brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be held Saturday at 9 until 10:15 a.m. at the Heer Mortuary in Fort Morgan.
Graveside services and interment will follow at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Memory Gardens in Fort Morgan.
