Frank J. Schuller Sr.

Frank J. Schuller Sr. of Boulder died Monday, July 24, 2000. He was 63.
He was born July 1, 1937, in Chicago to Franz Schuller and Karolina Schaffner Schuller. He married Patricia Durrant on Oct. 6, 1962, in Illinois. They divorced.
He moved to Boulder from Danville, Ill., in 1976. He was a manager of plant engineering at Nobel/Sysco Food Services in Denver for 20 years. He enjoyed hunting.
Survivors include three sons, Michael Schuller of Boulder, John Schuller of Silverthorne and Frank Schuller Jr. of Coronado, Calif.; a daughter, Theresa Schuller of Bailey; three sisters, Eugenia Schuller of LaVerne, Calif., Margaret Christian of Vida, Ore., and Rita Famiglietti of Boulder; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Crist Mortuary Chapel, 3395 Penrose Place, Boulder. A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. at Crist Mortuary.
A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 6739 South Boulder Road, Boulder.
Fred Fisher
May 8, 1929 - Aug. 8, 2000
Fred Fisher of Boulder died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2000. He was 71.
Born May 8, 1929, in Dickenson, N.D., he was the son of Frederick D. Fisher and Jean Frank Fisher. He married Barbara Allen, Oct. 31, 1964, in Folkston, Ga.
Mr. Fisher worked as an X-ray technician. He moved to Boulder from Ogden, Utah, in 1989.
Survivors include his wife of Boulder; two daughters, CasSandra Fisher and Rachel Fisher, both of Boulder; and a brother, John Fisher of Billings, Mont.
A rosary will be said from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at Howe Mortuary, 2121 11th St., Boulder.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 2312 14th St., Boulder.
Interment will be Monday at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver.

Anandarajah Kandiah
Nov. 11, 1964 - July 27, 2000
Anandarajah Kandiah of Boulder died Thursday, July 27, 2000. He was 35.
He was born Nov. 11, 1964, in Naturata, Sri Lanka, to Sinniah Kindiah and Sokkan-ThanaLechami Kandiah.
He was a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Colorado. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Kansas.
He moved to Boulder in 1998.
Survivors include his mother of Sri Lanka; and brother Punidarajah Kandiah of Kotagala, Sri Lanka.
He was preceded in death by his father.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the CU CIRES building, room S-274.
Burial will be in Sri Lanka.

Donald L. Arnold
Feb. 23,1936 - Aug. 4, 2000
Donald L. Arnold of Johnstown, formerly of Boulder, died Friday, Aug. 4, 2000, at Longmont United Hospital. He was 64.
He was born Feb. 23, 1936, in Farnham, Neb., to Forrest John Arnold and Leah Stevens Arnold. He married Elfriede Roser in 1961. They divorced.
Mr. Arnold was raised in Boulder and moved in the 1960s. He lived in Greeley, Loveland and Johnstown.
He worked for Mountain Bell and AT&T for more than 30 years.
He was a member of the Corvette Club and enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing, camping, golfing and skiing.
Survivors include a son, John Arnold of Loveland; two daughters, Andrea Mai Lucero of Long Beach, Calif., and Angela Lydia Wyatt of Portland, Ore.; a brother, Steve Douglas of Herndon, Kan.; three sisters, Joy Hill of Dacono and Geraldine Morris and Carol Craig, both of Boulder; and a grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, Ernest Warren; and brothers, Kenneth Wayne Arnold and Vern Eldon Arnold.
Services were held.

Vern Tillman Bickel Jr.
March 5, 1927 - Aug. 8, 2000
Vern Tillman Bickel Jr. of Boulder died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2000, at Boulder Community Hospital. He was 73.
He was born March 5, 1927, in St. Louis, Mo., to Vern T. Bickel Sr. and Lucy Schnabel Bickel. He married Lillian Hewell Grace on July 4, 1976, in Denver.
Mr. Bickel received a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Missouri. He was owner and chief executive officer of First Credit Corp., a consumer finance business, and was former owner of American Gym Corp. He also worked in personnel management for Kansas City Life Insurance Co. and owned a chain of health and fitness centers.
He founded and chaired the Colorado Union of Taxpayers, served as a trustee for the Independence Institute and was a benefactor of the National Taxpayers Union, Americans for Tax Reform, the CATO Institute, Hillsdale College in Michigan, Citizens Against Government Waste, the National Tax Limitation Committee, the Ludwig Von Mises Institute for Austrian Economics, the YMCA of Boulder Valley, Hospice of Boulder County and the Salvation Army of Boulder County.
He enjoyed body-building, being a private pilot, mountaineering, sailing, hiking, jogging, reading and philosophical discourse. He belonged to the Methodist Church in Kansas City.
Survivors include his wife of Boulder; three sons, Brent Bickel of Superior, Tyler Bass of Arvada and Guy Grace of Orange County, Calif.; a daughter, Trina O'Keeffe of Evergreen; two brothers, James R. Bickel of Nevada, Mo., and Carl Bickel of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; a sister, Mary Jane Bickel of Joplin, Mo.; and 10 grandchildren.
A community gathering of family and friends will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday Aug. 16 at Vinelife Community Church, 7845 Lookout Road, Boulder. It will be followed by a celebration of Mr. Bickel's life at noon, with the Rev. Russ Goodrum of Abundant Life Assembly of God Church of Silverthorn officiating.

John Richard Coss
April 20, 1947 - July 20, 2000
John Richard Coss of Eagle, Alaska, formerly of Boulder, died at his home on July 20, 2000. He was 53.
The son of Ralph Coss and Bertha Cooper Coss, he was born at Boulder Community Hospital on April 20, 1947. He married Clara Gutierrez in 1968. They were divorced in 1984.
He attended Washington Elementary School and Casey Junior High School and graduated from Boulder High School in 1966.
He lived in Boulder County from 1947 to 1966, from 1970 to 1979 and again from 1981 to 1984.
Survivors include his father of Boulder; children Dezine A. Coss of Saratoga, Wyo., John R. Coss of Westminster and Andrea M. Coss-Arellano of Longmont; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Green Mountain Cemetery, 209 20th St. in Boulder. Nancy D'Ippolito of First Presbyterian Church in Boulder will officiate.
Contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
Anna Mae Reddington
Sept. 23, 1919 - Aug. 10, 2000
Anna Mae Reddington of Louisville died in Boulder on Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000. She was 80.
The daughter of Joseph and Ana Koci, she was born Sept. 23, 1919, in Gebo, Wyo. She married LeRoy Reddington on June 25, 1938. He preceded her in death.
She moved to Louisville from Wyoming as a young child. She graduated from Louisville High School in 1937.
She worked as a bookkeeper for Hesteads, then for Woolco until her retirement in 1983. She was a member of American Business Women's Association. She enjoyed embroidery.
Survivors include two daughters, Janice D. Akers of Boulder, and Gayle A. Maddona of Houston; a son, Gary L. Reddington of Louisville; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Josephine Ambrose, and a granddaughter.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Darrell Howe Mortuary Chapel, 1701 W. South Boulder Road, Lafayette. The Rev. Duane Roll will officiate.

Virginia B. Becker

Virginia B. Becker of Longmont died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000, in Boulder. She was 76.
She was born Jan. 11, 1924, in Wichita, Kan., to Harry Blake and Mary Crandall Blake. She married Floyd K. Becker on Oct. 2, 1945, in Wichita.
She graduated from East High School in Wichita. She attended the University of Colorado at Boulder and was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority.
She moved to Longmont from Boulder in 1969.
Survivors include her husband of Longmont; a son, Steven Becker of Pine; two daughters, Karen Lian of Louisville and Mary Lynn Becker-Spector of Sherman Oaks, Calif; and nine grandchildren.
Private graveside services were held.

Barbara Defler Fahrenholtz
April 7, 1935 - Aug. 9, 2000
Barbara Defler Fahrenholtz of Lafayette died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000, in Denver. She was 65.
She was born April 7, 1935, in Denver to Harold F. Defler and Margaret H. Williams Defler. She married Lon Parrish in Boulder County in 1950. They were divorced. She married Glen Boisseaux in 1966 in Denver. They were divorced. She married Ben Fahrenholtz in Denver in about 1971. They were divorced.
Ms. Fahrenholtz moved to Boulder County in 1944. She worked in retail sales for Wal-Mart. She was retired.
Survivors include her mother of Lafayette; a sister, Jackie Jordan of Longmont; a brother, Clark Defler of Indiana; two daughters, Kathleen Parrish and Trish Parrish, both of Anchorage, Alaska; a son, Richard Parrish of Lafayette; twin sons, Garin Boisseaux of Lakewood and Kinsman Boisseaux of Littleton; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Monte Parrish.
A memorial service will be at 11 p.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church, 200 E. Baseline, Lafayette.
