Kathleen Lingenfelter
July 6, 1922 - July 21, 2000

Kathleen Lingenfelter of Boulder died of natural causes in Boulder on Friday, July 21, 2000. She was 78.

The daughter of James Tatum and Addie MacCranor Tatum, she was born July 6, 1922, in Herrin, Ill. She married Paul Lingenfelter on Dec. 26, 1945, in Denver.

She moved to Boulder from Illinois in 1926.

She graduated from Boulder High School in 1940.

Mrs. Lingenfelter was a homemaker.

She enjoyed camping and reading.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Michael Lingenfelter of Louisville; four brothers, Joe Tatum, Norman Tatum, James Tatum and John Ellis Tatum, all of Boulder; a sister, Donnie Tatum, of Boulder; and a grandson.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Crist Mortuary, 3395 Penrose Place, Boulder. A service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Crist Mortuary.

Iona Thomas
Oct. 30, 1918 - July 22, 2000

Iona Thomas of Louisville died Saturday, July 22, 2000, of natural causes in Boulder. She was 81.

The daughter of John Bowes and Bertha Ramsey Bowes, she was born in Larimer County on Oct. 30, 1918. She married Charles Thomas in 1935 in Castle Rock.

She moved to Boulder County from Larimer County in 1919.

Mrs. Thomas was the co-owner of the City Grocery and Market in Louisville and a homemaker.

She enjoyed ceramics, crocheting, gardening and flowers.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Barbara Stahr of Louisville and Beth Decker of Platteville; two sisters, Sadie Moore of Boulder and Viola Owens of Louisville; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Jeff Decker.

A funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church of Louisville, 200 South Boulder Road.

Contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, 200 South Boulder Road, Louisville, CO 80027, or the charity of the donor's choice.

Sharon Lynne Aylsworth
March 28, 1934 - June 22, 2000

Sharon Lynne Aylsworth of Lafayette died Thursday, June 22, 2000, in Boulder. She was 66.

The daughter of Walter Vesey Lutz and Esther Alberta Madsen Lutz, she was born March 28, 1934, in The Dalles, Ore. She married Glen Aylsworth in The Dalles in 1955. They divorced.

She was a waitress at the Madras, Ore., Truck Stop for 15 years. She was a cook for Meals on Wheels in Lafayette.

She attended Northwest Christian College in Eugene, Ore. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Louisville. She volunteered in the music department at the Condon Baptist Church in Condon, Ore.

She enjoyed researching her family's genealogy, needlework and sports.

She moved to Boulder County from Madras in 1993.

Survivors include two daughters, Jill Jackson of Lafayette and Joan Kain of Centralia, Wash.; a son, Jeff Aylsworth of Seattle; three sisters, Naoma Cutshall of Midland, Texas, Beverly Larson of Charlottesville, Va., and Carol Curtis of Vancouver, Wash.; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Louisville.

George Collins
Sept. 22, 1932 - June 22, 2000

George Collins of Broomfield died in Denver on Thursday, June 22, 2000. He was 67.

The son of Raymond Collins and Edna J. Wilson Collins, he was born Sept. 22, 1932, in Chicago. He married Mary Ann Morrison in June 1955 in Chicago.

Mr. Collins was a retired mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. He served in the Army.

He enjoyed fishing, boating and hunting.

He moved to Boulder County in 1994.

Survivors include his wife of Broomfield; three sons, Thomas Collins of Westminster, Bill Collins of Boulder and James Collins of Louisville; a sister, Thelma Carson of Broomfield; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Earl Collins.

Private family services will be held.

David Allen Annecone
Dec. 28, 1962 - July 17, 2000

David Allen Annecone of Boulder died Monday, July 17, 2000. He was 37.

He was born Dec. 28, 1962, in San Jose, Calif., to Robert Annecone and Elizabeth Killmartin Gaunt.

He moved to Boulder two months ago. Prior to that, he lived in Los Angeles. He enjoyed antiques, music, gardening and poetry.

Survivors include his mother of Boulder; his father of Langley, Wash.; a brother, Stephen Annecone of Boulder; two stepbrothers, Jason and John Annecone of California; and his grandmother, Anna Marie Annecone of San Jose.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Cecile 'Pat' R. Compton
Nov. 21, 1938 - July 25, 2000

Cecile "Pat" R. Compton of Longmont died Tuesday, July 25, 2000. She was 61.

Born Nov. 21, 1938, in Manchester, N.H., she was the daughter of George Bellemare and Yvette Bellemare. She married Robert A. Cepeck in 1956. They divorced. She married Richard E. Compton on Sept. 3, 1970.

She had lived in Japan, Pakistan, Germany, Sacramento, Calif., Merrimack, N.H., and Colorado Springs.

Mrs. Compton moved to Boulder County in 1977.

She worked for several Boulder County companies, including MicroMotion, Storage Technology, and Boulder County Enterprises. She was a foster parent to seven children in the 1980s.

Survivors include her husband of Longmont; her father of Manchester, N.H.; four daughters, Sherri-Ann D. Hagen, Jodi L. Barkley, Michelle R. Lynch and Patricia Guay, all of Longmont; three sons, Robert Cepeck of Greer, S.C., David Cepeck of Milford, N.H., and Richard Compton of Boulder; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Yvette Bellemare Morey, and stepfather, William Morey; brother, Robert G. Belle; and grandson, Kevin Cepeck.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel, 326 Terry St., Longmont.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Carol Swartzendruber will officiate.

Rosa A. Ebner
Feb. 14, 1922 - July 25, 2000

Rosa A. Ebner of Boulder died Tuesday, July 25, 2000, in Boulder. She was 78.

The daughter of August Weiss and Rosa Burri, she was born in Zug, Switzerland, on Feb. 14, 1922. She married Walter P. Ebner on June 1, 1949, in Switzerland. He preceded her in death.

She moved to Boulder from Denver in 1960.

Mrs. Ebner was the co-owner, along with her husband, of Crossroads Optical in Boulder. She worked as an optician for 35 years. She previously was a seamstress in Chicago, where she sewed uniforms for the Chicago Cubs. During World War II in Switzerland, she played an accordion to entertain Allied forces.

She enjoyed hiking, gardening and knitting.

Survivors include a son, Heinz Ebner of Erie; two daughters, Christina Ebner of Boulder and Monica Larimore of Jamestown; and seven grandchildren.

A service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Crist Mortuary Chapel, 3395 Penrose Place., Boulder.

Albert Theodore Romano
Sept. 9, 1914 - July 26, 2000

Albert Theodore Romano of Louisville died Wednesday, July 26, 2000, in Louisville. He was 85.

He was born Sept. 9, 1914, to Jolsomine Romano and Annunciata Caranci Romano in Louisville. He married Magdalene J. Fladung on June 13, 1942, in St. Louis Catholic Church, Louisville.

He attended elementary school and high school in Louisville.

Mr. Romano was a coal miner and carpenter for 50 years. He belonged to the United Mine Workers and the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, Carpenter's Local Union No. 1068 in Denver. He also belonged to Tri-City Elks Club and the Louisville Rod and Gun Club. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and cook.

He is survived by his wife of Louisville; one daughter, Sharon R. Sibayan of Denver; two sons, Theodore L. Romano of Cheyenne and Anthony T. Romano of Denver; two sisters, Louise Elwell of Louisville and Sabina Bailey of Denver; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Tony Romano and George Romano; and four sisters, Clementine Romano, Albina Romano, Annie DelPizzo and Mary Caranci.

Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m. at the St. Gertrude Hall of Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 6739 South Boulder Road.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church. The Rev. Dorino DeLazzar will celebrate mass. Services will conclude with burial at Sacred Heart of Mary cemetery.
