Majiba Ann Reichner
June 16, 1938 - June 30, 2000

Majiba Ann Reichner of Nederland and formerly of Boulder died Friday, June 30, 2000, in Boulder from complications of cancer. She was 62.

She was born June 16, 1938, in the Bronx, New York City, and was orphaned shortly after birth. She was adopted at age 2 by Morris Levy and Mildred Garfunkel Levy of New Rochelle, N.Y., and her name was changed from Edwina Wasserman to Ann Lois Levy.

She married Albert Reichner in 1958. They divorced in 1974. She married Mark Noll on June 13, 1992, in Boulder.

Ms. Reichner was an artist. She started Gallery 9, an art gallery in Los Altos, Calif., and her artwork was shown in various places around the country, including New York City. She helped start the Nederland Artist Co-op.

She graduated from New Rochelle High School in New York. She received a bachelor of fine arts degree from Boston University in 1961.

She participated in West Coast spiritual groups and traveled to India, where she met Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, who gave her the spiritual name Majiba. She was a founder of Rajneesh Puram, an Oregon commune, where she lived from 1981 to 1986, when she moved to Boulder. She moved to Nederland in 1992 but continued to be active in Boulder art groups.

In Nederland she was a volunteer for the visitors' center and was a member of the Planning Commission since 1996.

Survivors include her husband of Nederland; a brother, Leonard Levy of Raymond, Maine; two sons, Steven Reichner and Nathan Reichner, both of San Jose, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service and celebration of life will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at her home, 391 W. First St., Nederland.

Margaret Mayo Rice
Aug. 24, 1911 - July 28, 2000

Margaret Mayo Rice of Boulder died Friday, July 28, 2000, at Boulder Community Hospital. She was 88.

Born Aug. 24, 1911, she was the daughter of Arthur W. Mayo and Snow Francis Pitts Mayo. She married William Barton Rice in Chicago on June 2, 1935. He died in May 1967.

Mrs. Rice graduated from Senn High School in Chicago and attended Crane Junior College and the Chicago Conservatory. She lived in Skokie, Ill., until 1977 when she moved to Albuquerque. In 1987, she moved to Boulder.

She enjoyed playing bridge, sewing, painting and spending time with her grandchildren. She belonged to Chapter EY of the PEO Sisterhood.

Mrs. Rice is survived by two daughters, Patricia Foss of Boulder and Roberta Rice of Albuquerque; a brother, Gerald S. Mayo of Alexandra, Va.; and three grandchildren;

Her husband and a brother, J. Herbert Mayo, preceded her in death.

A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Aug. 17 at the Academy, 970 Aurora Ave., Boulder.

Christopher Michael Stogner
Oct. 2, 1981 - July 27, 2000

Christopher Michael Stogner of Lafayette died Thursday, July 27, 2000, near Gross Reservoir. He was 18.

The death has been ruled a homicide.

He was born Oct. 2, 1981, in Denver to J. Michael Stogner and Pam Lanphear.

He enjoyed drawing and sports.

Survivors include his father and step-mother, Tamara Stogner of Lafayette; mother; three sisters, Malissa Stogner of Tucson, Ariz., Nichole Stogner of Lafayette, and Heather Duran of Westminster; and two step-brothers, Travis Thompson of Westminster, and Shon Thompson of San Diego, Calif.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Darrell Howe Mortuary Chapel, 1701 W. South Boulder Road.

Stephen Charles Wing
July 16, 1942 - July 30, 2000

Stephen Charles Wing of Westminster, formerly of Broomfield, died at Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge on Sunday, July 30, 2000. He was 58.

He was born July 16, 1948, in St. Joseph, Mo., to Logan Earl Wing II and Hazel Evelyn Horton Wing. He married Jo Ann Johnson on Aug. 31, 1980, in Broomfield.

Mr. Wing worked in research and development for 3M in St. Paul, Minn. For the past 21 years, he worked for Rocky Flats in the research and development department.

He lived in Broomfield and Westminster for more than 20 years.

He was affiliated with the Mosaic Lodge in Eastlake and a past master of the Masons in Hazelpark Lodge in St. Paul.

He enjoyed fishing, kites, collecting computers and Coca Cola bottles. He was a ham radio operator.

Survivors include his wife of Westminster; parents of St. Joseph; two daughters, Cindy Wing of Sitka, Alaska, and Christine Peloso of St. Paul; stepson, Stanley Pedzick of Boulder; brothers, Logan Wing and Paul Wing, both of St. Joseph; and one grandson.

Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Rundus Funeral Home, 1998 W. 10th Ave., Broomfield. Pastor Ron Cox will officiate.

Rose Coet
Feb. 25, 1908 - Aug. 30, 2000

Rose Coet of Louisville died Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2000, in Louisville. She was 92.

She was born Feb. 25, 1908, in Auburn, Ill., to August Boulanger and Josephine Lefevre Boulanger. She married George C. Coet in Auburn. He died Nov. 11, 1984.

Mrs. Coet was a homemaker. She moved to Louisville from Chicago in 1965.

She enjoyed puzzles, soap operas and reading.

Survivors include two sons, George A. Coet of Lake Forest, Ill., and John R. Coet of Westminster; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers.

Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday at Darrell Howe Mortuary Chapel, 1701 W. South Boulder Road, Lafayette.

A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Louis Catholic Church, 902 Grant Ave., Louisville.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Edwin C. Moore
June 12, 1919 - Sept. 1, 2000

Edwin C. Moore of Longmont died Friday, Sept. 1, 2000, at Longmont United Hospital. He was 81.

The son of Theodore Moore and Lucy Carroll Moore, he was born June 12, 1919, in Quitman, La. He married Elda Mae Hudson on June 18, 1944, in Monroe, La.

Mr. Moore was a welder who worked at Eaton Metals, Rocky Mountain Arsenal, Rocky Flats and IBM in Boulder before retiring in 1981.

He joined the Civil Conservation Corps. at the age of 16. He was a former member of the Masonic Lodge and a veteran of the Army Air Corps in World War II. He enjoyed golf and oil painting.

He moved to Longmont from Denver in 1962.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Alan Moore of Milliken and David Moore of Fairmont, Neb.; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister and two half-sisters.

A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel, 326 Terry St., Longmont. The Rev. James Johnston of First Pentecostal Church in Longmont will officiate.

Contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Zella Ruth McIrvin
Sept. 13, 1909 - Sept. 1, 2000

Zella Ruth McIrvin of Longmont died Friday, Sept. 1, 2000, at Peaks Care Center in Longmont. She was 90.

The daughter of Shedrick Gordon and Lillie May Cline Gordon, she was born Sept. 13, 1909, in Wray. She married Delbert C. McIrvin on May 16, 1929, in Wray. He died in 1956.

She was a homemaker and farmed and ranched with her husband beginning in the early 1940s, where she was a cook for the ranch hands, milked cows and worked in the fields or wherever she was needed. She was also a cook and waitress at cafes in the area. Later, she was a nurse's aide for 18 years.

She made her own clothing patterns for her children, made her own soap and sauerkraut, raised chickens for food and used their feathers for bedding. She served as treasurer for her children's country schools and was active in the PTA.

She enjoyed family gatherings, crocheting, embroidering and beading calendars. She liked going for rides in the mountains, especially to Estes Park to hear elk bugle in the fall.

She was a Seventh-day Adventist.

Mrs. McIrvin moved to Longmont from Berthoud in 1976.

Survivors include three daughters, Martha N. Baxter of Phoenix, Zella D. Tivnan of Las Vegas and Laura J. Carroll of Longmont; a son, Donald C. McIrvin of Ault; two brothers, LeRoy Gordon of Wyoming and Eugene Gordon of Fort Lupton; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lona I Schreiner; four brothers; and six sisters.

A funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Ahlberg Funeral Home, 326 Terry St., Longmont. The Rev. Robert Craft will officiate.

Interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery in Longmont.

Ruth M. Cairns
Feb. 26, 1924-Sept. 5, 2000

Ruth M. Cairns of Broomfield died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2000, at the Hospice of Boulder County in Louisville. She was 76.

Born Feb. 26, 1924, in Racine, Wisc., she was the daughter of Martin Anderson and Marie Nelson Anderson. She married Winston Cairns on Aug. 21, 1946, in Greenville, Mich.

Mrs. Cairns worked at the University of Colorado from 1969 until her retirement in 1980. She was a charter member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Broomfield.

Survivors include her husband of Broomfield; two sons, Robert Cairns of Longmont and Bruce Cairns of Windsor; a daughter, Ann Cairns of Boulder; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 6995 W. 120th Ave, Broomfield. Interment will be next week in Greenville Mich.

Virginia Daly
July 4, 1920 - Aug. 30, 2000

Virginia Daly of Boulder died Aug. 30, 2000, at Boulder Good Samaritan Home. She was 80.

The daughter of Ludwig Nierman and Augusta Muller Nierman, she was born July 4, 1920, in Sweetbriar, Va. She married Bill Stewart in 1942. They divorced in 1961. She married Lyndon Daly in Kingsville, Texas, in 1964. He died in 1981.

She was a history and geography teacher, and worked in a bookstore.

Mrs. Daly earned a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in history.

She moved to Boulder in 1991. She enjoyed gardening, music and dachshunds.

Survivors include a daughter, Kathryn Stewart of Westminster.

She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Stewart, and a daughter, Lisa Stewart.

A memorial service will be at 9 a.m. Friday at Boulder Good Samaritan Home in Boulder.

All-States Cremation of Wheat Ridge is in charge of arrangements.
