Kimberly Ann Bogeart

Jan. 20, 1959 — Oct. 7, 1999

Kimberly Ann Bogeart of Nederland died Thursday, Oct. 7, 1999, of liver disease in Boulder Community Hospital. She was 40.

She was born Jan. 20, 1959, in Streator, Ill., to Samuel Galloway and June Burkitt Galloway. She married Ronald Bogeart on July 19, 1985, in Streator.

Mrs. Bogeart was an office manager with Sys-Com of Boulder from 1981 to 1994. She moved to Boulder County in 1981.

She enjoyed crafts and gardening.

Survivors include her husband of Nederland; her mother, June Galloway Price of Streator; a brother, Kevin Galloway of Streator; and two sisters, Kerry Jolly and Kelly Vickers, both of Streator.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Private funeral services were planned. Cremation occurred.

Contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Erlinger Cremation & Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Madge Hill Branstetter

June 10, 1912 — Oct. 7, 1999

Madge Hill Branstetter of Boulder died Thursday, Oct. 7, 1999, in Englewood. She was 87.

She was born June 10, 1912, in Duncan's Bridge, Mo. She married Fred Branstetter on Nov. 9, 1928, in Hannibal, Mo. He died in 1993.

Mrs. Branstetter was an independent contractor who made draperies for several companies in the Boulder area for more than 50 years.

She moved to Boulder from Missouri in 1929. She attended the First Baptist Church in Boulder.

Survivors include a son, Darrell Branstetter of Roanoke, Va.; a daughter, Betty Hannah of Englewood; a brother, Don Hill of Lafayette; a sister, Lois Childs of Lafayette; 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Lindell Branstetter in 1970 and Harold Branstetter in 1982.

A memorial service will be conducted by the Rev. Tom Shirk at 2 p.m. today at Howe Memorial Chapel, 2121 11th St., Boulder.

Memorial donations may be made to the Julia Temple Center, 3401 S. Lafayette St., Englewood, 80110, or to a church of the donor's choice.

Ruth Herbstreit

Aug.12, 1917 — Oct. 7, 1999

Ruth Herbstreit of Boulder died Thursday, Oct. 7, 1999, in Boulder. She was 82.

She was born Aug. 12, 1917, in Norwood, Ohio, to Lester Bullman and Anna Flagg Bullman. She married Jack Herbstreit on Sept. 12, 1940, in Cincinnati.

Mrs. Herbstreit was a homemaker and a volunteer Pink Lady at Boulder Community Hospital. She enjoyed playing golf at the Boulder Country Club and playing bridge.

She moved to Boulder in 1951 from Washington, D.C. She lived in Geneva, Switzerland from 1966 to 1974, when she returned to Boulder.

Survivors include her husband of Boulder; a son, William Herbstreit of Boulder; a daughter, Barbara Miller of Johnstown; five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to noon Tuesday at Crist Mortuary Chapel, 34th Street and the Diagonal Highway, Boulder.

Funeral services will be at noon Tuesday at Crist Mortuary Chapel. Services will conclude at Mountain View Memorial Park, 3016 Kalmia Ave., Boulder.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Jewish Medical and Research Center, 1400 Jackson St., Denver, 80206.

Stanley Sumerell

Sept. 7, 1919 — Oct. 4, 1999

Stanley Sumerell of Superior died Monday, Oct. 4, 1999, in Denver. He was 80.

He was born Sept. 7, 1919, in El Paso, Texas, to Stanley Sumerell Sr. and Loretta Wilson Sumerell. He married Jean Trembley in June 1940, in Denver.

Mr. Sumerell was a self-employed stockbroker before his retirement. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1936 to 1940.

He moved to Boulder County in 1997. He enjoyed golfing and skiing.

Survivors include his wife of Louisville, a son, James Sumerell of Boulder; a daughter, Sandra Miller of Louisville, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at a later date in Texas. Cremation has occurred.

Contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Avalon Funeral Home of Lafayette is in charge of arrangements.

Elaine Margaret Edwards

Oct. 2, 1909 - Oct. 10, 1999

Elaine Margaret Edwards of Boulder died Sunday, Oct. 10, 1999, in Boulder. She was 90.

She was born Oct. 2, 1909, in Granville, Ill., to John Arthur Neilson and Beatrice Sparling Neilson. She married John Erle Edwards Oct. 20, 1931, in Oak Park, Ill.

Mrs. Edwards moved to Boulder in 1991 from Glen Ellyn, Ill.

She attended Redlands University in Redlands, Calif.

She was a secretary public schools in Hinsdale, Ill.

She was a member of the Glen Ellyn Presbyterian Church, where she also was a pianist. She was the former president of the Clarendon Hills Womens' Club in Illinois.

She was a painter and an artist.

Survivors include a daughter, Jeri Joseph of Louisville; a son, Jeffrey Kent Edwards of Wheaton, Ill.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be at 5:30 p.m. today at Crist Mortuary Chapel, 3395 Penrose Place, Boulder. The Rev. John Hess of First Presbyterian Church will officiate. Services will conclude at the chapel.

Interment will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Restland Cemetery in Mendota, Ill.

Contributions may be made to Redlands University Development Department, P.O. Box 3080, Redlands, Calif. 92373.

Cecil Kenneth Truitt

March 12, 1932 - Oct. 9, 1999

Cecil Kenneth Truitt of Boulder died Saturday, Oct. 9, 1999, in Boulder. He was 67.

He was born March 12, 1932, in Madison, N.C., to Charles Cecil Truitt and Bertha Cox Truitt. He married Patsy Gail Hopper on June 7, 1959, in Forest City, N.C.

Mr. Truitt moved to Boulder in 1997 from Monroe, N.C.

He was a banker in Monroe.

He was active in civic affairs and president of the Monroe chapter of Kiwanis International. He was a member of the Masonic Order and the First Baptist Church in Boulder.

Mr. Truitt served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1955.

Survivors include his wife of Boulder; and a son, Brian Truitt of Boulder.

A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church, 1237 Pine St., Boulder. The Revs. Stan Smith and Nancy Darnell will officiate.

Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Boulder County Division, Memorial and Tribute Program, P.O. Box 4003, Boulder 80306 or to the organization of donor's choice.

Crist Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
