David Michael Green was born May 23, 1960 in Rochester, Minnesota to David & Judy (Touhey) Green.
He moved to Boulder with his family in 1966. David graduated from Fairview High School in Boulder and Regis University in Denver with a degree in Computer Science. He worked at Ball Corporation since 1996.
David was a gifted artist, a craftsman wood worker and a superb person.
He will be missed by all who knew him.
David passed away on May 10, 2009.
He is survived by his parents, Judy & David of Lafayette, two brothers; Tim of Lafayette and Mark (Cathy) of Grand Junction and nephews Nick & Ben of Grand Junction. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Rosary will take place at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 715 Cabrini Dr, Lafayette on Sat. May 16th at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m.
A reception will be held at the church following the service.
Private family interment will be held at Sacred Heart of Mary Catholic Church Cemetery in Boulder.

William Ray Trojanovich, Boulder, CO
William Ray Trojanovich (Bill, Billy) of Boulder, Colorado, passed away March 31st, 2009 at his home in Boulder at the age of 65.
A memorial service will be held at the First Congregational Church on April 15th at 3:00 p.m.
Bill was born July 6th, 1943 in Calhan, Colorado to Marie (Kobilan) and William (Bill Sr.) Trojanovich.
He grew up on the family farm and graduated from Calhan High School in 1961.
He graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in economics and speech in 1967.
He was employed with IBM for 30 years as a systems analyst.
After retiring from IBM, he continued to work in the computer field with HeurisTec and Tomax Technology until 2008.
Bill served for 24 years in the United States Army Reserves (244th Engineering Batallion, Hvy) and retired as a Master Sergeant.
Bill enjoyed spending time with his family, performing community service, flying, researching family heritage, country life, gardening, and life-long learning. His family remembers him for his love, his hard work, his selflessness, always doing the right thing and leading by example, and never taking the easy way out.
Bill is survived by his wife of 40 years Irene; daughter, Anmarie and husband Victor Wright; son, Christopher and wife Marleen; son, Matthew and wife Erin; and loving grandchildren and the reason for his happiness in the last years of his life – Sofia, Lucy, Lola, Alyssa, Eloise, Isabell, and Zachary. Surviving siblings are Donald Trojanovich, Sandra Vallier, and Sharon Sleeper.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Calhan School Academics, the MDS Foundation, or the MacKenzie Lectureship Series.

Katelin Rose Oakley, Golden, CO
Katelin Rose Oakley (Passman), 30, of Golden Colorado, died Wed April 1st in Boulder.
She grew up in Fort Collins in Redstone Canyon, attended the Lowell Whiteman school in Steamboat, graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Colorado with a degree in English, and went on to receive a law degree from Duke University in North Carolina.
She worked as an attorney in Denver for Davis, Graham and Stubbs.
Katelin Rose was a loving mother to her sons, a beloved daughter to her parents, a beautiful sister to her brothers, and the truest, most loyal friend to those who were fortunate enough to share in her life.
She is dearly missed, but she will remain in our hearts and in our thoughts always.
Katie loved to ride horses, she loved to ski, and she loved to laugh.
Katelin is survived by her grandparents, Rosemary and Butch Mobbs of Nashville Arkansas; Ralph and Joyce Wilson of Oklahoma City; her parents Frances Wilson of Fort Collins, and Peter Passman of Bellevue; her brothers, Foster Bailey of Boulder, and Wyatt Passman of Severance; her sister-in-law Christina Passman, also of Severance; and her two beautiful little boys, Tyler and Jason Oakley.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 am Saturday, April 11 at Allnutt Drake Chapel, a memorial service will be held at 11:00 am followed by a reception.
A fund has been established for Katelin’s children at Bank of the West in the name of “The Katelin Rose Memorial Trust”.
Kennon G. Rude D.C., Boulder, CO
Kennon G. Rude D.C., 86, preceded in death by his wife Shirley Jean Lilljestrale Rude; survived by sons Carlton and Kirby Rude, Calif., daughter Cammy Cadwell, Thornton, grandchildren Kennon and Billie Jean Rude, Calif.; Jean Marie Mackelvey and family.
Third generation chiropractor, Kennon's parents and both grandparent's on his mother's side were chiroprators.
Kennon graduated from Northwestern University, MN in 1950; practiced in Hector, MN from 1950-1969 and Boulder, CO from 1969 - 2008.
Member of the Chiropractic Assoc since 1950 and the Boulder Elks Lodge since 1972.
Held numerous positions within the Colorado Chiropractic Assoc including Board member and was a board member for the American Chiropractic Assoc Council of Athletic Injuries and Nutritional Consultants for Professional Botanicals and was honored as Chiropractor of the Year in 1980 for his contributions to the chiropractic profession.
A Navy Veteran of WWII, chairman for the American Red Cross in MN, worked as Renville County, MN coroner 1954 - 1958, holds a US patent for a cervical traction device for whiplash injuries and is the author of Healing Miracles Great and Small.
Kennon was highly respected as an individual, professional, inventor, author, father and husband.
Will be remembered as family by numerous colleagues and patients.
Memorial Services will be held at the Elks Lodge, Boulder, on Friday June 12 at 1:00 pm.

Janis R. van Zante, Orange, CA
1946 - 2009
Janis R. van Zante died on July 18, 2009, at age 63, in Orange, CA, from cancer. Jan was a mother, teacher, and writer.
She taught English to speakers of other languages at the Intensive English Center at the University of Colorado at Boulder, in Italy as a Fulbright Lecturer, and in the Slovak Republic as an English as a Foreign Language Fellow for the United States Information Agency.
More recently, she wrote English-language teaching materials and was the lead author of "Grammar Links 3: A Theme-Based Course for Reference and Practice."
Born Janis Kristen Rosenthal in Oklahoma City, OK, on January 17, 1946, Jan spent much of her childhood in Pueblo, CO.
She attended Colorado College as a Boettcher Foundation Scholar, graduating in 1968.
That same year she married a college classmate, Peter M. van Zante, and they moved to Chicago, IL, where Peter attended law school and Jan worked as a marketing writer for the University of Chicago Press.
Their son, Schuyler D. van Zante, was born in Chicago.
After Peter's graduation from law school, the family moved to Boulder, where their daughter, Annemieke van Zante, was born. Jan was deeply devoted to her children and family.
In addition to caring for her children, Jan worked in publishing. Later, Jan returned to school and earned a master's degree in linguistics from the University of Colorado and began teaching English as a second language.
Jan served as a member of the Boulder Public Library Commission beginning in 1986 and played an active role in the expansion of the main library building that was completed in 1992.
After extensive travels in Europe in connection with training English teachers, Jan turned her attention to the creation of teaching materials.
Jan is survived by her husband, of Boulder and Orange, their son, of Boulder, their daughter, of San Francisco, CA, and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at the Ascension Episcopal Church in Pueblo, CO, on August 15 at 10 a.m.
An open-house reception to honor Jan's memory will be held at Jan and Peter's residence in Boulder on August 16 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

James Peter Boratgis, Boulder, CO
1919 - 2009
Jim Boratgis, of Boulder, died peacefully on July 27th.
Boston born of Greek immigrants, October 10, 1919, he came to CU, studying electrical engineering.
Post graduation, he traveled to Mexico City with the American Friends Service Committee, later meeting the great love of his life, pianist Magdalena Valderrama, on a blind date at the Palace of Fine Arts--later engaged over violin piano sonatas!
They were married in 1951 and returned to Boston where Jim had accepted positions at MIT and Harvard running the psycho acoustic labs.
In 1956, they returned to his first love, Boulder, commuting to work at National Jewish Hospital, Denver.
In 1964 he took a position running the electronics lab for the biology department at CU, also playing viola with the Boulder Philharmonic.
He is survived by his wife, Magdalena and daughters, Gigi (Yoshikawa Wright), L.A./Boulder and Marta (Olav van Hezewijk), New Haven/Boulder.
The memorial is August 23rd, 4:00, Boulder Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 1241 Ceres Dr., Lafayette.
