Harvey Daniel Berry
Sept. 14, 1949 - July 31, 2006
Harvey Daniel Berry, of Fort Lupton, formerly of Boulder, died of cancer Monday, July 31, 2006, in Wheat Ridge. He was 56.
The son of Ira S. Berry and Mona M. Harvey Berry, he was born Sept. 14, 1949, in Wichita, Kan.
Mr. Berry lived in Boulder from 1955 to 1980.
A 1967 graduate of Fairview High School, he worked at CJS Machine Inc. for 20 years, and was the company owner for two years.
"Harvey's greatest loves were golfing and supporting Quaker Ridge Camp, " his family said. "He will be greatly missed."
Survivors include his mother, of Arvada; two sisters, Cheryl Rutherford, of Springfield, and Deborah Lidke, of Wheat Ridge; and three brothers, Richard Berry, of Fort Lupton, David Berry, of Sharpsburg, Ga., and Donald Berry, of Arvada.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Services have been held.

Robert A. Ford
June 18, 1933 - July 28, 2006
Robert A. Ford, of Broomfield, died of cancer Friday, July 28, 2006, in Longmont. He was 73.
The son of James Dennis Ford and Alma L. Ward Ford he was born June 18, 1933, in Herrin, Ill. He married Shirley F. Moreland on Aug. 3, 1957, in Yuma, Ariz.
Mr. Ford moved to Broomfield in 1980.
He was a senior master sergeant in the Air Force, then worked at StorageTek for 17 years. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9565 in Broomfield.
Survivors include his wife, of Broomfield; a son, Keith A. Ford, of Broomfield; and a sister, Betty Sandstrom, of Rockford, Ill.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, James Dennis Ford Jr. and Charles William Ford; and two sons, Kenneth L. Ford and Kevin R. Ford.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area B, 4400 W. Kenyon Ave., Denver.

Jesse Bogart Bibb-Hindley
July 16, 1980 - July 29, 2006
Jesse Bogart Bibb-Hindley, of Louisville, died of respiratory failure Saturday, July 29, 2006, in Lafayette. He was 26.
The son of Glenn Hindley and Nancy Bibb, he was born July 16, 1980, in Boulder.
Mr. Bibb-Hindley was a lifelong resident of Boulder County.
He graduated from Centaurus High School in 2001.
Mr. Bibb-Hindley was in the C.O.R.E. program, associated with Imagine!. He enjoyed horseback riding with Rocky Mountain Riding for the Disabled, swimming and spending time with his friends.
"Jesse touched the heart of everyone with whom he came in contact, " his family said.
Survivors include his mother, of Longmont; his father, of Louisville; and his grandmothers, Rose Ann Bibb, of San Diego, and Hildur Hindley, of Fort Smith, Ark.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Rodney Bibb and Art Hindley.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Howe Mortuary, 1701 W. South Boulder Road, Lafayette.
A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Howe Mortuary.

Astrid 'Audie' Louise Covey
April 8, 1933 - July 29, 2006
Astrid "Audie" Louise Covey, of Boulder, died of natural causes Saturday, July 29, 2006, in Boulder. She was 73.
The daughter of Carl Henry Landin and Mildred Johnson Landin, she was born April 8, 1933, in Omaha, Neb. She married Verner Christensen on Feb. 27, 1953, in Kimballton, Iowa. He died. She married Harry D. Covey on May 5, 1957, in Superior, Neb.
Mrs. Covey moved to Boulder in 1957.
A graduate of nursing school, she worked at Boulder Memorial Hospital, Puritan-Bennett and BI-Inc.
She was a member of the Sunshine Bunko Group and enjoyed reading murder mysteries. She adopted three families through World Vision.
"Audie was everybody's mother, and she will be missed by many, " her family said.
Survivors include her husband, of Boulder; four sons, Mark Nelsen, of Harlan, Iowa, John Nelsen, of Kimballton, Iowa, , Martin Covey, of Boulder, and Dennis Covey, of Hilo, Hawaii; two daughters, Janice Wheeler and Anita Hanson, both of Boulder; 15 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her first husband.
A celebration of life will be from noon to 3 p.m. Aug. 13 at Gold Hill Inn, 401 Main St.

Jeannette Elizabeth Cammen, of Boulder, died Saturday, July 29, 2006, at Frasier Meadows Retirement Community. She was 90.

Heather McRoberts, of Boulder, died in a plane crash Sunday, July 30, 2006, near Betty Lake in rural Boulder County. She was 19.
A memorial service will be at 8 a.m. Saturday at Boulder Municipal Airport, 3300 Airport Road.

David Bruce Quant, of Broomfield, died Monday, July 31, 2006, at his residence. He was 85.

Geraldine Mullins
Feb. 23, 1959 - July 28, 2006
Geraldine Mullins, of Nederland, died Friday, July 28, 2006, in rural Boulder County. The cause of death has yet to be determined. She was 47.
The daughter of William Mullins and Marie Dunn Mullins, she was born Feb. 23, 1959, in Hoboken, N.J.
She moved to Boulder County in 1988.
"Geri loved life and hiking, " her family said. "She loved the outdoors, living in Colorado and sharing this with her daughter."
Survivors include her daughter, Sarah M. Taylor, of Boulder; her father, of Rumson, N.J.; a brother, William A. Mullins Jr., of Freehold, N.J.; and two sisters, Carol Taglieri, of Hazlet, N.J., and Bernadette Becker, of Manasquan, N.J.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. today at City on the Hill Church, 7483 Arapahoe Road, Boulder.

Patricia Michelle Cahn
Oct. 8, 1961 - July 28, 2006
Patricia Michelle Cahn, of Highlands Ranch, died July 28, 2006, in Highlands Ranch. The cause of death has yet to be determined. She was 44.
The daughter of Eric Cahn and Neva Cowan Cahn, she was born Oct. 8, 1961, in Denver.
Ms. Cahn lived in Boulder from 1980 to 1984 and from 1989 to 1990.
A graduate of the University of Colorado in 1984 with her bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism, Ms. Cahn was a radio and television reporter in the Denver metropolitan area, Colorado Springs and Chattanooga, Tenn.; a radio-show host in Chattanooga; and a communications specialist with Montgomery, Ala. schools and the Cherry Creek School District.
A writer and poet, Ms. Cahn received the New York Festival's 1998 International Non-Broadcast Media Short Documentary Award for her documentary "Stop Slavery."
"Michelle was passionate about her work and politics, loved animals and outdoor sports, " her family said. "She had a tender heart and will be sorely missed."
Survivors include her father, of Denver; her mother and stepfather, Serafino Niccoli, both of Sunrise Beach, Mo. and two brothers, Jeff Cahn, of Boulder, and Kevin Cahn, of Denver.
Private family services will be held.

Wesley E. Brittin
April 21, 1917 - Aug. 1, 2006
Wesley E. Brittin, of Boulder, died Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2006, in Boulder following a long illness. He was 89.
The son of Wesley Brittin and Anna Vogel Brittin, he was born April 21, 1917, in Philadelphia. He married Janine Calmettes in July 1963 in Boulder.
Mr. Brittin moved to Boulder in 1939.
He earned a master's degree in physics from Princeton University and a doctoral degree in physics from the University of Alaska.
He taught at the University of Colorado Physics Department, which he chaired for 19 years before retiring in 1977. He also served as director of the Summer Institute for Theoretical Physics for 16 years and served on several boards and councils, including the Governor's Scientific Advisory Council.
Although he was invited to join the Manhattan Project during World War II, he declined the offer due to his commitment to pacifism, his family said.
Survivors include his wife, of Boulder; three daughters, Bonnie Keller, of Fort Collins, Annie Koehncke, of Wilmington, N.C., and Lize Brittin, of Boulder; and two sons, Philip Brittin, of Boulder, and Alex Brittin, of Washington, D.C.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
No services have been scheduled.
