BLANCHE E. HARRELL

Mrs. Harrell, 88, died July 10, 2001, at a local hospital. She was a retired elementary school teacher.

Mrs. Harrell was born Nov. 22, 1912, in Guthrie, Ky., to Chester and Ola (Meriwether) Roberts, who are deceased. She was married Oct. 7, 1944, to Leroy F. Harrell, who is deceased.

She is survived by a son, Dr. Frank Harrell; a daughter, Deborah E. Harrell; a sister, Mildred French; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Roberts.

A private memorial service will be at a later date. Spartan Services, 955 S. Union Blvd., 634-0402, is handling arrangements.

THERESA FREESE

Mrs. Freese, 78, died July 13, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Freese was born June 5, 1923, in Cenei, Romania, to Alois Fiel and Elisabeth Speber, who are deceased. She was married May 8, 1946, to Kenneth Freese.

She is survived by her husband; a son, Chuck; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Jr.; a brother; and a sister.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Pikes Peak Funeral and Cremation Services, 3825 Airport Road, 596-7991. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Memorial Gardens Chapel, 3825 Airport Road. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Mount Saint Francis of Assisi, 7665 Assisi Heights, Colorado Springs 80919.

JONICK LYNN “NICKY” JONES

Miss Jones, 33, died July 12, 2001, at a local hospital.

Miss Jones was born March 1, 1968, in Colorado Springs to David L. and Janice (Stoner) Jones.

She is survived by her parents; a brother, David Todd; and three sisters, Kimberlee Sandry, Tammy Worthey and Janelle Buckman.

Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. today at Swan Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave., 471-9900. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Salem Baptist Church, 3195 Airport Road. Cremation is planned.

ALFRED RILEY SCRIMPSHER III

Mr. Scrimpsher, 28, died July 10, 2001, at his home in Colorado Springs. He was an apprentice electrician for Cimarron Electric and served in the Army from 1992 to 1995, attaining the rank of private first class.

Mr. Scrimpsher was born Jan. 21, 1973, in San Antonio to Alfred Riley Scrimpsher II and Mary Morris. His father is deceased. He was married March 11, 1994, to Lori Ann Lundquist.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Dustin; a daughter, Amy; his mother; three brothers, Sam, Dan and Scott; two sisters, Cindy Werner and Sandi Underwood; and his grandmother, Melba Shires.

Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday with services at 6 at Nolan Funeral Home, 225 N. Weber St., 632-7608. Burial will be private.

JANICE LYNN (MAGRUDER) KOSLEY

Mrs. Kosley, 49, died July 10, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Kosley was born June 9, 1952, in San Diego. She was married Dec. 31, 1984, to Doug Kosley.

She is survived by her husband; three sons, Eric Robinson, Ephraim Isaacs and Alex Kosley; two daughters, Adrienne Isaacs and Abby Kosley; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Norma Magruder.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at All Souls Unitarian Church, 730 N. Tejon St. Cappadona’s Alternative Funeral Service, 3407 N. El Paso St., 520-1817, is handling arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to University of Colorado Liver Transplant in care of Michael Talamantes, P.O. Box C313, Denver 80262.

RUTH HELEN BOLZ KRAUSE

Ruth, 89, died July 11, 2001, at a local care center. She was a homemaker and a retired laundry manager.

Ruth was born Aug. 11, 1911, in Joliet, Ill., to William Charles and Lillian (Burdick) Kaehlert, who are deceased. She was married in 1929 to Eric Herman Bolz, who is deceased.

She is survived by six sons, Eric Bolz, Elmer Bolz, Bruce Bolz, Robert Bolz, Kenneth Bolz and Greg Bolz; a daughter, Lillian Vandarakis; a brother, William Kaehlert; a sister, Amelia Schildger; 17 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Wayne Bolz and Emil Bolz; two brothers, Robert Kaehlert and Oswald Kaehlert; five sisters, Pearl, Marge, Frances, Lillian and Rose; and three grandchildren.

Services will be in Joliet. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Joliet. Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., 634-1597, is handling local arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the giver’s choice.

ROSALIE A. (ALLISON) WHITE

Mrs. White, 77, died July 10, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was a professional oboist as well as professor of music at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas, and a part-time professor of music at De-Pauw University in Greencastle, Ind., from 1948 to 1980.

Mrs. White was born June 26, 1924, in Centralia, Ill., to George E. and Florence (Hood) Allison, who are deceased. She was married Sept. 4, 1948, to Dr. Donald H. White.

She is survived by her husband; three daughters, Phyllis Cook, Barbara Bryan and Jeanne LaBarbera; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Bittles & Hurt Funeral Home, 602 E. Washington St., Greencastle. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, 404 Judson Drive, Greencastle. Graveside services will be at 4:30 p.m. Monday at Hillcrest Cemetery, Centralia. Mountain View Mortuary, 2350 Montebello Square Drive, 590-8922, is handling local arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rosalie Allison White Oboe Memorial Fund in care of Eastman School of Music, 26 Gibbs St., Rochester, NY 14604.

EDWIN A. WERTH

Mr. Werth, 74, a former Colorado Springs resident, died July 9, 2001, in Abilene, Kan. He retired as a clerk from the Air Force Academy.

Mr. Werth was born April 8, 1927, in Ness City, Kan., to Anton and Mary (Wasinger) Werth, who are deceased. He was married to Verla Henry.

He is survived by his wife; two brothers, Leonard and Victor, and three sisters, Louise Mitchell, Barbara Fink and Edna Pientka.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth St., Salina, Kan., (785) 825-4242. Inurnment will be at Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrew’s School, 311 S. Buckeye Ave., Abilene, KS 67410.

RETIRED COL. RAY ARNETT

Col. Arnett, 79, died July 11, 2001, at a local hospital. He served in the Air Force and Army for 30 years.

Col. Arnett was born Aug. 31, 1921, in Burlington to Thomas R. Arnett and Olive F. Conrad, who are deceased. He was married Dec. 27, 1983, to Barbara Jacobson.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Thomas; a daughter, Patricia Smith; two stepsons, James Chapman and Cliff Chapman; two stepdaughters, Susan Boylan and Sharon Keeley; a brother, Victor; two sisters, Sue Roberts and Lois Moore; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a stepson, Gary Chapman, and three brothers, Raymond, Ross and Jess.

Visitation will be at 9 a.m. Saturday with services at 10 a.m. at Memorial Gardens Cemetery Chapel, 3825 Airport Road. Burial will be at Garrison Forrest Veterans Cemetery, Owings Mills, Md. Pikes Peak Funeral and Cremation Services, 3825 Airport Road, 596-7991, is handling arrangements.

RAVEN ANN MUSCANTE-MARACLE

Raven, infant daughter of Raven George Maracle and Amy Lynn Muscante, died July 7, 2001, in Colorado Springs.

Raven was born April 8, 2001, in Houston.

She is survived by her parents; her grandparents, Anna Dewitt, Gary Raine, Mario Garcia and Dana Garcia; and her great-grandmother, Lawanda Muscante.

Viewing will be from noon to 1 p.m. today at Cappadona’s Alternative Funeral Service, 3407 N. El Paso St., 520-1817. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 S. Hancock Ave.

CALVIN N. WAGNER

Mr. Wagner, 74, died July 9, 2001, at a local care center. He retired from the Army after serving from 1945 to 1975.

Mr. Wagner was born June 10, 1927, in Reading, Pa., to Lyle and Primrose (Nicholas) Wagner, who are deceased. He was married July 16, 1955, to Hidegard B. Gregory.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Carolyn Reisner; and a grandchild. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lyle.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Memorial Gardens Chapel, 3825 Airport Road. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pikes Peak Funeral and Cremation Services, 3825 Airport Road, 596-7991, is handling arrangements.

THOMAS JAY SPURLOCK

Mr. Spurlock, 42, died July 10, 2001, at a local hospital. He was a welder.

Mr. Spurlock was born Sept. 19, 1958, in Pueblo to Joseph Spurlock and Freda Pfeiff. His father is deceased. He was married July 21, 1984, to Cyndia K. Anderson.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Colton; a daughter, Tonya; his mother; and a sister, Kathy Walker.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Nolan Funeral Home, 225 N. Weber St., 632-7608. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Living Word Church, 532 Calhan Ave., Calhan. Burial will be private.

CLIFFORD E. BRIGHT

Mr. Bright, 73, died July 10, 2001, at his home in Divide. He retired as a pipe fitter from Plumbers & Steam Fitters Union Local 171 in Wichita, Kan. He served in the Navy from 1945 to 1946.

Mr. Bright was born Nov. 29, 1927, in Wichita, to Charles William Bright and Opal Marie Bales, who are deceased. He was married Feb. 3, 1948, to “Polly” Simpson, who is deceased.

He is survived by a son, Charles C.; three daughters, Betty Jane Schartz, JoAnn Stukey and Patricia Scheer; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandchild.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., 634-1597. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Little Chapel of the Hills, 69 County Road 5, Divide. Burial will be at Divide Cemetery, Divide.
