JEREMY GEORGE WHITESELL

Jeremy, 18, died April 6, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He was a student at Pine Creek High School.

Jeremy was born Jan. 12, 1983, in Colorado Springs, to Diane B. Belger and George Whitesell Jr.

He is survived by his parents; a stepbrother, Brian Belger; a sister, Jennifer Durdin; two stepsisters, Allison Belger and Kim Belger; a grandmother, Marjorie Carroll; grandparents, Bev and Carol Godec, Ed and Nelda Reppa, and George and Ilo Whitesell; and a great-grandmother, Clara Czeschin.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Swan Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave., 471-9900. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Radiant Church Assembly of God, 4020 Maizeland Road.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Young Life, in memory of Jeremy Whitesell, 402 N. Cascade Ave., P.O. Box 520, Colorado Springs 80901-0520.

RETIRED CHIEF MASTER SGT. JERRY B. KOLB

Chief Master Sgt. Kolb, 69, died April 4, 2001, at his home in Colorado Springs. He was a retired aircraft mechanic. He served in the Air Force for 28 years, having served in Korea and Vietnam. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 4051, the Knight's of Columbus, Air Force Sergeants Association, TREA and the AARP.

Chief Master Sgt. Kolb was born Feb. 3, 1932, in Marshal, Mo., to Samuel and Edna B. (Retherford) Kolb, who are deceased. He was married June 3, 1951, to Shirley A. Boyce.

He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Deborah Finlay, Karen Kolb and Marsha Kolb; a brother, Roger; a sister, Shirley Whiterock; two nieces; two nephews; and a grandson, Nathan Knitter.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel of Roses, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., 634-1597. Inurnment will be at Shrine of Remembrance Veterans Honor Court Columbarium.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Comforter, 2345 N. Academy Place, Suite 215, Colorado Springs 80909.

CLAIRE MARIE SNIVELY

Mrs. Snively, 87, died April 5, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Snively was born Jan. 6, 1914, in Camden, N.J., to Harry and Mary Ada (Evering) Moran, who are deceased. She was married Aug. 13, 1938, to Andrew John Snively Sr., who is deceased.

She is survived by a son, Andrew J. Jr; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

No services are planned. Swan-Law Funeral Home, 501 N. Cascade Ave., 471-9900 is handling cremation.

PATRICIA LOUISE BOGNER

Mrs. Bogner, 50, died April 5, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was a medical office manager for Dr. Ian Walker.

Mrs. Bogner was born Feb. 27, 1951, in Warrensburg, Mo., to Martha and William Crowder. She was married Nov. 11, 1972, to John Steven Bogner.

She is survived by her husband; a son, John Shane; a daughter, Danielle Elizabeth Dungan; her parents; a sister, Marti Brizendine of Lee's Summit, Mo.; and a grandchild.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday with a reception to follow at First Presbyterian Church, 219 E. Bijou St. Mountain View Mortuary, 2350 Montebello Square Drive, 590-8922, is handling arrangements.

SYD MARSHALL

Mr. Marshall, 59, died March 31, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He was previously a school teacher with Widefield Schools.

Mr. Marshall was born Jan. 11, 1942, in Del Norte, to James F. and Dorothy L. (Nixon) Marshall, who are deceased.

He is survived by a brother, George F.

EDITH MARIE NEE

Mrs. Nee, 94, died April 7, 2001, at a local care center. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Nee was born Aug. 12, 1906, in Runnells, Iowa, to Meek and Rebecca (Waddle) Marshall, who are deceased. She was married Sept. 25, 1926, to Clyde Cecil Clevenger, who is deceased. She was then married Oct. 1, 1952, to John Joseph Nee, who is deceased.

She is survived by a son, James Clevenger; a daughter, Mary Bieberle; a son-in-law, Norbert Bieberle; a daughter-in-law, Karen Clevenger; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three daughters, Jean Marie Clevenger, Beverly Ann Crabb and Flora Fleming.

Visitations will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Swan-Law Funeral Home, 501 N. Cascade Ave., 471-9900. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Christian Church, 16 E. Platte Ave. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 S. Hancock Ave.

THOMAS W. THACKER

Mr. Thacker, 57, died April 4, 2001, at a local hospital. He was retired. He retired after serving 20 years in the Air Force.

Mr. Thacker was born Dec. 12, 1943, in Alton, Ill., to Herbert and Dorothy Thacker. His father is deceased. He was married Jan. 17, 1987, to Sharon E. Brown.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Tom Jr. of Florida; three step-sons, Shane of Crawford, Tyrone of Colorado Springs and Travis of Colorado Springs; a step-daughter, Rhonda of Velia N.D.; his mother; a brother, Jerry of Colorado Springs; a sister, Linda of Las Vegas; 2 nephews; 3 nieces; and five grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Peterson Air Force Base Chapel. Colorado Springs Mortuary and Cremation Services, 3475 Astrozon Court, 392-4144 is handling arrangements.

FRANK F. TYREE

Mr. Tyree, 51, died April 5, 2001, in Colorado Springs.

Mr. Tyree was born March 14, 1950, in Boulder to Frank H. and E. Elizabeth (Rambo) Tyree, who are deceased.

He is survived by a sister, Virginia A. Bland; a brother-in-law, Verle V. Bland; and two nieces, Michelle E. Bland and Kristin R. Bland.

Visitations will be from 9 a.m to noon and 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave., 471-9900, followed by services at 2 p.m. at Swan-Law Cascade Chapel.

ELISABETH G. LOJAK

Mrs. Lojak, 79, died April 5, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Lojak was born June 21, 1921, in Germany. She was married to Ewald P. Lojak, who is deceased.

She is survived by a daughter, Christa Margrave; a sister, Hilde Rancke; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Anna Signedonk; and a grandson "Tommy."

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 22 W. Kiowa St. Inurnment will be in Alexandria, Va. Pikes Peak Funeral and Cremation Services, 3825 Airport Road, 596-7991, is handling arrangements.

PHYLLIS WILLIAMS

Phyllis, 74, died April 6, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was a retired real estate broker.

Phyllis was born July 11, 1926, in St. Paul, Minn., to George and Anna (Nelson) Kachel, who are deceased.

She is survived by a son, Lawrence E.; two daughters, Laurel Cotton and Leanne Williams-Lund; a sister, Shirley Hanson; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Kachel.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Swan-Law Funeral Directors Slumber Rooms, 501 N. Cascade Ave., 471-9900.

VERNON EUGENE SHEPARD

Mr. Shepard, 55, died March 21, 2001, at his home in Colorado Springs. He was a truck driver.

Mr. Shepard was born June 2, 1945, in Pueblo, to Vernon Leon and Marjorie (Boone) Shepard, who are deceased. He was married March 5, 1981, to Kathy Ann Mercurio.

He is survived by his wife; a son, David; two daughters, Nicole and Michelle; his stepmother, Anne Shepard; two brothers, Robert Shepard and Mark Biernacki; and a sister, Jenny Lee. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherri.

A. LEIGH WHITEHEAD

Mr. Whitehead, 79, died April 4, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He was retired.

Mr. Whitehead was born March 13, 1922, in Denver, to Carle and Mabel (Kennedy) Whitehead, who are deceased. He was married March 13, 1948, to Norma Mead, who is deceased.

He is survived by three sons, David of Colorado Springs, Norman of Crested Butte and Brian of Colorado Springs; two daughters, Diane Lorick of Garrison, N.Y., and Carol Rosaaen of Lambert, Mont.; a brother, Kenneth; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 2318 N. Cascade Ave. Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 E. Fountain Blvd., 475-8303, is handling arrangements.

BARBARA ANNE WOHLERS

Mrs. Wohlers, 57, died April 6, 2001, at a local care center. She was formerly a flight attendant with Pan Am and a homemaker.

Mrs. Wohlers was born Aug. 8, 1943, in Redding, Pa., to Frank and Breta (Willis) Kline. Her father is deceased. She was married Dec. 13, 1970, to Don Wohlers.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Kevin and Kurt; three daughters, Kim McCrea, Anne Miera and Teri Wohlers; two sons-in-law, Doug McCrea and Adrian Miera; two daughters-in-law, Janel and JoAnn; a brother, Frank Kline Jr.; a sister-in-law, Marilyn Kline; five grand-children; four step-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Swan-Law Funeral Home, 501 N. Cascade Ave., 471-9900.
