She is survived by a son Roger L. McFarland; a sister, Clara Wright; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, John Malik; and a sister, Mary Perry.

MARY ALICE GARCIA-RoQUE
Mary Alice, 60, died May 6, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was a nurses aide and cook.
Mary Alice was born Feb. 20, 1941, in Fowler to Toby and Mary Salazar, who are deceased. She was married to Rofugia RoQue, who is deceased.
She is survived by two sons, James and Mike; three daughters, Donna, Teresa and Monica; two sisters, Eileen Gomez and Andrea Zamora; numerous nieces and nephews; and 13 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Evergreen Funeral Home "Chapel of Peace, " 1830 E. Fountain Blvd., 475-8303. Cremation is planned.
R. WAYNE ALTIZER
Mr. Altizer, 60, died May 6, 2001, at his home in Colorado Springs. He was owner of Altizer Construction and served in the Navy.
Mr. Altizer was born June 29, 1940, in Bishop, Va., to Ralph M. Altizer and Belva (Winebarger) Bowman. His father is deceased. He was married Oct. 17, 1981, to Karla R. Rice.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Pamela Kelly Nelson; his mother; his stepfather, Hubert Bowman; two brothers, Tom and Curt; two sisters, Marie Mahn and Peggy Combs; and two grandsons, Myles Nelson and Wayne Groover.

LILLIAN MAY WOLF
Mrs. Wolf, 87, died May 6, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was a retired homemaker.
Mrs. Wolf was born July 7, 1913, in Harlan, Iowa, to Martenus and Ingerbolg Sorensen, who are deceased. She was married to Leslie B. Wolf, who is deceased.
She is survived by three sons, Robert Bly, Jerry Bly and Byron D. Wolf; two sisters, Irene Christensen and Leona Jensen; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Harvey Sorensen.

WILLIAM E. BEAZLEY
Mr. Beazley, 89, died May 7, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He was a retired research chemist.
Mr. Beazley was born March 15, 1912, in Bangor, Maine, to William R. and Marion (Hutchins) Beazley, who are deceased. He was married April 16, 1949, to Mary Ola Roberts.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Bill of Maine and Bob of North Carolina; a daughter, Mary of Colorado; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Edward; and a sister, Margaret.
No local services are planned. Inurnment will be at Bucksport, Maine. Colorado Springs Mortuary and Cremation Services, 3475 Astrozon Court, 392-4144, is handling local arrangements.

COREY JACOB PHILLIPS
Corey, infant son of Christopher A. and Melinda (Theobald) Phillips, died May 6, 2001, at a local hospital.
Corey was born May 3, 2001, in Colorado Springs.
He is survived by his parents; his grandparents, Catherine Ulanowski, John Theobald and Jane and Robert Phillips; his great-grandparents, James and Bertie Woodard and Margaret Blazer; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Dove-Witt Fountain Valley Chapel, 6630 S. U.S. Highway 85/87, Fountain, 390-4906. Cremation is planned.

DEBRA CHRISTINA GARCIA
Mrs. Garcia, 39, died May 7, 2001, at a local hospital. She was a civil service occupational developer.
Mrs. Garcia was born July 25, 1961, in Los Angeles to John Valencia Jaquez and Shirley Ann Swanson. Her mother is deceased. She was married Sept. 22, 1979, in Tacoma, Wash., to Gustavo E. Garcia.
She is survived by her husband; a son, Richard; and daughter, Pamela; and her father.

JOHN M. CORLEW
Mr. Corlew, 94, died May 6, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He retired from The Broadmoor hotel.
Mr. Corlew was born Dec. 16, 1906, in Litchfield, Ill., to John and Eva (Green) Corlew, who are deceased. He was married to Onita Bolling.
He is survived by his wife; a son, John M. Jr.; a daughter, Onita Ann Maltby; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at Memorial Gardens Chapel, 3825 Airport Road. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Gardens Chapel. JAMES B. EDSON
Mr. Edson, 92, died May 7, 2001, at a local hospital. He retired as a research scientist for the U.S. government.
Mr. Edson was born July 29, 1908, in Kansas City, Mo., to James O. and Irene (Potter) Edson, who is deceased. He was married Sept. 25, 1936, to Lilly Somers.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Priscilla Greenwood, of Tempe, Ariz.; a brother, Alden P., of Colorado Springs; a sister, Patricia Tombaugh, of Mesilla Park, N.M.; and two grandchildren, Anders and Jennifer, both of Greenwood, Calif.
No services are planned. Mountain Memorial Services, 51 County Road 5, Divide, 687-0333, is handling cremation.
RETIRED SGT. BOB CLAY RENTIE
Sgt. Rentie, 85, died May 5, 2001, at a local hospital. He served in the Army for 22 years. He also retired from civil service.
Sgt. Rentie was born June 14, 1915, in Alamosa to Douglass and Esther Lee (Taylor) Rentie, who are deceased. He was married May 12, 1955, to Johanna Lips.
He is survived by his wife; two brothers, Henry of California and John of Ogden, Utah; and a sister-in-law and her children, Loni Kilian, Johanna Clemens and Gabie Winkler, all of Germany. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Douglass Jr. and Joe.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., 634-1597. A funeral service will be at 9 a.m. Friday at Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel of Roses. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S. ROBERTA STEWART HALEY
Mrs. Haley, 83, a former Colorado Springs resident, died April 24, 2001, in Sun City, Ariz. She was a real estate broker and former owner of Haley Realty.
Mrs. Haley was born June 10, 1917, in Iola, Kan., to Claude and Margaret Stewart, who are deceased. She was married May 6, 1941, to Nelson Haley.
She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Margaret Oliver; and two grandsons, Scott Oliver and Keith Oliver.

HELEN B. LOWRY
Mrs. Lowry, 81, died May 1, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Lowry was born May 25, 1919, in South Dakota, to Edward and Clara (Raabe) Busch, who are deceased. She was married Dec. 13, 1941, to David F. Lowry, who is deceased.
She is survived by a son, David, of New Orleans; a daughter, Karen, of New Orleans; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Grace Episcopal Church, 631 N. Tejon St. Inurnment will be at Chapel of Our Saviour Columbarium, 8 Fourth St. Swan Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave., 471-9900, is handling arrangements.

RETIRED MASTER SGT. CLAYTON CROSS
Master Sgt. Cross, 77, died May 6, 2001, at his home in Chipita Park. He served in the Air Force for 24 years. He also retired from civil service at NORAD in 1985.
Master Sgt. Cross was born May 22, 1923, in Oakland, Calif., to Harold and Florence (Carmen) Cross, who are deceased. He was married July 17, 1964, to Helen Eaker.
He is survived by his wife; eight sons, Clayton Cross of Pennsylvania, Kenneth Cross of Texas, Collin Cross of Texas, Marc Cross of Kansas, Patrick Cross of Colorado, Greg Smouse of Colorado, Fred Smouse of Colorado and Mike Smouse of New Mexico; a daughter, Terri Ramirez, of Colorado; two sisters, Barbara and Jane; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Mountain Memorial Services, 51 County Road 5, Divide, 687-0333. Cremation is planned.
Friends and family are encouraged to give their local hospice.
