JAMES "JIM" EDWARD LAXSON JR.
Mr. Laxson, 57, died May 9, 2001, at his home in Colorado Springs. He was a retired police officer.
Mr. Laxson was born July 19, 1943, in Colorado Springs, to James E. and Marion V. Laxson.
He is survived by a daughter, Marcella Montague Kelly, of Denver; his parents; three brothers, John, Gary and Larry; and one grandchild.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Vineyard Christian Fellowship, Flint-ridge Plaza, Flint-ridge Drive and Academy Boulevard. Colorado Springs Mortuary and Cremation Services, 3475 Astrozon Court, 392-4144, is handling arrangements.
DR. E. JAMES BRADY
Dr. Brady, 87, died May 23, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He was the medical director of the Emory John Brady Hospital for 40 years. He also served in the Navy during World War II aboard the USS Drayton.
Dr. Brady was born April 25, 1914, in Newberry, Mich., to Emory and Evan May Brady, who are deceased. He was married in 1936 to Dorothy Jane Kimzey.
He is survived by his wife; three sons, Dennis, Phillip and James; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Shove Chapel, 1010 N. Nevada Ave.

ELSIE LaVERNE FAUCETT
Mrs. Faucett, 82, died May 24, 2001, at a local care center. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Faucett was born Jan. 23, 1919, in Hazelton, Kan., to Earl M. and Clara E. Myers, who are deceased. She was married Nov. 17, 1940, to Kenneth Eli Faucett, who is deceased.
She is survived by three sons, Kenneth R., Dan and Garry; three sisters, Lela Komatz, Erma Hopkins and Evelyn Kinney; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Memorial Gardens Chapel, 3825 Airport Road. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3825 Airport Road. Pikes Peak Funeral Home, 3825 Airport Road, 596-7990, is handling arrangements.

MARY J. SOBCZAK
Mrs. Sobczak, 84, died May 24, 2001, at a local hospital. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Sobczak was born July 6, 1916, in Calumet City, Ill., to John and Josephine (Liszka) Swalek, who are deceased. She was married Nov. 21, 1937, to Arthur A. Sobczak.
Mrs. Sobczak is survived by her husband; a son, Dennis, of Monument; two daughters, Marie Kalemba, of Calumet City, and Judy A. McKesson, of Monument; a brother, Fred Swalek, of Kouts, Ind.; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Stanley Sobczak.
Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd, 634-1597, with services at 3 p.m. at Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel of Roses, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd. Burial will be in Calumet City.

THOMAS JEROME "TOM" POLLARD
Mr. Pollard, 39, died May 22, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He was a self-employed chimney sweeper.
Mr. Pollard was born Sept. 9, 1961, in Loup City, Neb., to Jerome Leonard Chelewski and Elaine Irene (Sekutera) Pollard. His father is deceased.
Mr. Pollard is survived by a son, Shane Pollard; a daughter, Tessa Taylor; his mother; a step-father, Jerry Pollard; four brothers, Steven, Donald, David and Michael; and a sister, Bernice Ginn.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Cappadona's Family Service Center, 3133 N. El Paso St., 520-1817.
GILESENE C. SUMMERS
Mrs. Summers, 81, died May 23, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was a school teacher with Buena Vista School District.
Mrs. Summers was born Oct. 15, 1919, in Fullerton, Calif., to Giles and Leah (Hastings) Curtis, who are deceased. She was married to Walter Braxston Summers, who is deceased.
Mrs. Summers is survived by two sons, William "Bill, " of Ramah, and Walter, of Fullerton; a daughter, Patricia Slade, of Payton; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Lucille Tucker.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Cappadona's Family Service Center, 3133 N. El Paso St., 520-1817. Burial will be in Brea, Calif.
RICHARD LEE MILLER
Mr. Miller, 63, died May 23, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He was a self-employed carpet and vinyl installer.
Mr. Miller was born Jan. 2, 1938, in Greeley, to George and Margaret Helen (Herman) Miller, who are deceased. He was married for 39 years to Doris Wyatt.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Steven; four daughters, Susan Morland, Pamela Burns, Elizabeth Birdsall and Jennifer Hachez; four sons-in-law, Duane Morland, Charles Burns, Chris Birdsall and Daniel Hachez; a brother, Dale Walters; two sisters, Georgia Ferguson and Rose Pretty; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister.

Mrs. Sueverkruebbe, 89, died May 22, 2001, at a local care center. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Sueverkruebbe was born Oct. 5, 1911, in Mingo, Iowa, to Melvin and Grace (Stump) Osborne, who are deceased. She was married Oct. 9, 1951, to Ray L. Sueverkruebbe.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, Howard and Wesley; a daughter, Doris Sudkamp; seven grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Burrell and Dwight; a brother; and a sister.

Mrs. Thisted, 58, died May 23, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was a teacher at Ellicott High School for 21 years.
Mrs. Thisted was born Sept. 16, 1942, in Brighton, Mass., to Arthur P. and Roberta M. (Hazell) Genetti. Her mother is deceased. She was married Aug. 21, 1966, to Paul A. Thisted.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, Jeff and Scott; a brother, George Genetti; a sister, Roberta Weller; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur P. Genetti Jr.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 4720 Galley Road. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. Mrs. Houtchens, 101, died May 22, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Houtchens was born July 25, 1899, in Cook County, Texas, to James K. and Lelia S. (Miller) Shumate, who are deceased. She was married Aug. 29, 1919, to Eric L. Houtchens, who is deceased.
She is survived by two sons, Vernie and Leon; a daughter, Ninetta Vette; a sister, Ethel Bird, of Clinton, Ok.; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 13 brothers and sisters; a grandson, Eric; and a great-grandson, Jason.

Mrs. King, 52, died May 23, 2001, at a local hospital. She was a homemaker and wonderful mother.
Mrs. King was born Dec. 26, 1948, in Gunnison, to Orval Flowers and Marion Partch. Her father is deceased. She was married Oct. 15, 1967, to Charles King.
She is survived by her husband; a son, Phillip C.; her mother; three brothers, Ken Flowers, Orval Flowers and Gail Flowers; and two sisters, Nadine Grinstead and Sherry Colgin.

Sr. M. Timothy, 74, died May 23, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was a registered nurse.
Sr. M. Timothy was born Jan. 28, 1927, in Omaha, Neb., to Edward and Louise (Graniewski) Koperski, who are deceased.
She is survived by a brother, Timothy; and two sisters, Evelyn Pesek and Ursula Kresl.
A wake will be at 5:15 p.m. Friday at Mount St. Francis Sisters' Chapel, 7665 Assisi Heights. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis Parish, 2650 Parish View. Mrs. Poyner was born July 12, 1930, in Elbert, to Samuel B. and Sylvia M. (Clibon) Franklin, who are deceased. She was married Oct. 26, 1947, to Leslie Dale Poyner, who is deceased.
She is survived by four sons, Les, Charlie, Jerry and Dale; eight daughters, Carol Payne, Ali Swanson, Lucy Portis, Brenda Cain, Robin Lucero, Ginny Poyner, Gail Poyner and Laurie Trujillo; a brother, Benjamin Franklin; a sister, Myrtle Beaman; 27 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Franklin; a sister, Wilma Davis; and a grandchild.
