RETIRED LT. COL. CHARLES Wm. McKELVIE
Lt. Col. McKelvie, 81, died June 17, 2001, in Florence. He retired from the Defense Communications Agency in 1975. He served in the Air Force during World War II in the South Pacific, retiring in 1963.
Lt. Col. McKelvie was born Nov. 7, 1919, in Dubuque, Iowa, to William R. and Alma (Krebs) McKelvie, who are deceased. He was married April 14, 1946, to Yvonne M. Thibodo.
He is survived by his wife; three sons, William R., Michael R. and David K.; numerous nieces and nephews; four grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard; and a great-grandson.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Swan Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave., 471-9900. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Swan Law Cascade Chapel. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 S. Hancock Ave.

LOIS MAXINE TOMS
Mrs. Toms, 69, died June 16, 2001, at a local care center. She retired as a teacher’s aide from School District 3.
Mrs. Toms was born Nov. 9, 1931, in Kingman, Kan., to Clarence E. and Esther M. (Peterson) Fulton, who are deceased. She was married Jan. 15, 1950, to Claude L. Toms.
She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Marcia Toms and Brenda Napper; a sister, Irena Kuhns, of Kansas; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Jerry.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., 634-1597. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel of Roses. After the service, a reception will be at The Grace Place Church, 2403 Templeton Gap Road. Entombment will be at Shrine of Remembrance Garden on Angels Mausoleum.

KAREN G. McDONALD
Mrs. McDonald, 43, died June 16, 2001, in Colorado Springs. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. McDonald was born May 23, 1958, in Brewton, Ala., to Wesley and Joan (Dilmore) Gardner. Her father is deceased. She was married Sept. 4, 1976, to Warren Dalton McDonald.
She is survived by her husband; a son, Brandon G.; a daughter, Katie Scarlett; her mother; and two sisters, Faye Gardner and Cindy Rone.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Cappadona’s Family Center, 3133 N. El Paso St., 520-1817.

HERBERT K. "BUCK" LIVINGSTON SR.
Mr. Livingston, 65, died June 15, 2001, at his home in Colorado Springs. He was a concrete driver and worked in construction of many years.
Mr. Livingston was born July 22, 1935, in Colorado Springs to Roy and Rosie Livingston, who are deceased.
He is survived by four sons, Richard, Michael, Donald and Kit; two daughters, Pamela Tallmage and Eva; a son-in-law, Wendell Tallmage; a brother, Richard L.; an aunt, Cynthia Skyberg; two grandsons, Johnny Roy and Brian; and two great-grandsons, Brennan and Chandler.

MERLE GENE SCHROETER
Mr. Schroeter, 56, died June 16, 2001, at his home in Colorado Springs. He was a logistics engineer and a defense contractor. He retired from the Army as lieutenant colonel after 26 years of service.
Mr. Schroeter was born April 30, 1945, in Schuyler, Neb., to Edwin and Vernell (Marty) Schroeter. His father is deceased. He was married June 10, 1999, to Judy Farr.
He is survived by his wife; four sons, Steven Newstead, Deven Schroeter, Eric Schroeter and Ben Erikson-Farr; a daughter, Renee Erikson-Farr; his mother; a brother, Larry; two sisters, Diane Vitamvas and Kathleen Weibold; his former wife, Beverly Schroeter; and a grandchild.
A memorial service, with full military honors, will be at 10 a.m. today at Evergreen Funeral Home "Chapel of Peace, " 1830 E. Fountain Blvd., 475-8303. Cremation is planned.

RETIRED LT. COL. EUGENE L. "HAP" ARNOLD
Lt. Col. Arnold, 64, died June 15, 2001, in Colorado Springs. He was a real estate agent with ERA United Realty before retiring six years ago. He served in the Air Force from 1959 to 1979. He was a professor at the Air Force Academy from 1971 to 1976. He graduated from Pleasant High School in 1955. He received a bachelor’s of science degree from Otterbein College in 1959 and received a doctorate in biochemistry at Pennsylvania State University.
Lt. Col. Arnold was born May 24, 1937, in Marion County, Ohio, to Wilfred and Lucille (Stose) Arnold, who are deceased. He was married July 4, 1959, to Darlene Lilley.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Neil S. and Vaughn T.; a grandson, Noah V.H.; and a granddaughter, Charell D.

TODD MICHAEL STAFSHOLT
Mr. Stafsholt, 35, died June 17, 2001, at a local care center. He was a computer engineer. He was owner and operator of Mountain High Consulting.
Mr. Stafsholt was born Aug. 20, 1965, in Eau Claire, Wis. He was married Aug. 14. 1987, to Peggy Brown.
He is survived by his wife; three children, Molly, Tyler and Hans; his parents, John and Veronica Card; and two sisters, Tamara Cveykus and Melissa Chronquist.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at World Prayer Center at Newlife Church, 11005 Highway 83 North. Inurnment will be private. Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., 634-1597, is handling arrangements.

Mrs. An, 95, died June 16, 2001, at her home in Colorado Springs. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. An was born April 29, 1906, in Kyong Buk, Korea, to Chong Jin Kwan and Yi Kum Ok, who are deceased. She was married April 2, 1927, to An Hae Byong, who is deceased.
She is survived by two sons, An In Hwan and An Young Ung; and three daughters, An Jung Hwan, An Taek Hwan and An Young Ja. She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters.

VIVIAN C. CLARK
Mrs. Clark, 80, a former Colorado Springs resident, died June 16, 2001, in Parker. She retired from the dietary unit at Penrose Hospital.
Mrs. Clark was born Nov. 5, 1920, in Alma, Neb., to Charles and Margaret (Gipe) Gitchel, who are deceased. She was married March 18, 1945, to Owen Sherwood Clark, who is deceased.
She is survived by a son, Charles Owen; a daughter, Barbara A. Anthony; two brothers, Phillip Gitchel and Ivan Gitchel; a sister, Virginia Gibson; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. McInnis, 88, died June 16, 2001, at his home in Colorado Springs. He was a retired construction contractor. He previously owned and operated a general mercantile in Michigan and Longmont. He owned and operated Prospect Lake Mobile Village in Colorado Springs.
Mr. McInnis was born May 27, 1913, in Pickford, Mich., to Donald and Lydia M. (Denny) McInnis, who are deceased. He was married Dec. 27, 1931, to Christena Jean McKenzie.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Ron W. of Lubbock, Texas and Gar L.; a daughter, Ann M. Brown; a brother, James, of Phoenix; two sisters, Berniece Larmour and Ervadean Swieckowiski, both of Colorado Springs; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Wholey, 80, a former Colorado Springs resident, died June 11, 2001, in Sun City Grand, Ariz., after a lengthy illness. She was a homemaker and a professional organist.
Mrs. Wholey was born March 14, 1921, in Wilmington, Del., to John and Rebecca (Kelly) O’Neill, who are deceased. She was married Feb. 12, 1944, to John F. Wholey Jr.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, John Robert of Albany, Calif. and Richard Hardart of Rockford, Ill.; two daughters, Diane Yule of Reno, Nev. and Linda Young of Scottsdale, Ariz.; a sister, Ann Shilling, of Wilmington; five grandchildren; and a great-grandson. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Ricky.

BEEDIA PRECORD
Mrs. Precord, 64, died June 14, 2001, in Salem, Mo. She retired from Hewlett Packard in 1986.
Mrs. Precord was born Feb. 8, 1937, in Dent County, Mo., to Eula (Callahan) Mahurin, who is deceased. She was married Aug. 4, 1956, to Ralph Precord, who is deceased.
She is survived by two sons, Ralph Randy and Phillip Lee; three brothers, Jerry Mahurin, Elmer Mahurin and Eugene Mahurin; three grandchildren; and a companion, Jim Glenn. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Junior Mahurin and William Mahurin, and a sister, Wilma Mahurin.

Mrs. Garrison, 22, died June 13, 2001, in Houston of leukemia. She was a construction management engineer with Mortenson Construction.
Mrs. Garrison was born Sept. 22, 1978, to Jose A. and Junita (Maestas) Martinez. She was married August 27, 2000, to Lawson Phillip Garrison III.
She is survived by her husband; a brother, Ernesto Basoco; four sisters, Elisabet Buzo, Noemi Martinez, Emanuelita Martinez and Anna Martinez; a brother-in-law, Joel Buzo-Rocha; her father-in-law, Lawson P. Garrison Jr.; her mother-in-law, Fatima V. Garrison; and two nephews, Santino Martinez and Moises Buzo-Martinez.
