FREDERICK LAWRENCE RADLEY It is with great sorrow and sadness we announce the death of our father, grandfather and brother. After a very short illness, Dad left us peacefully on Saturday, July 17, 2004. Fred was born
January 17, 1925 in Oakville, MB to James and Jane Radley. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Kay, of 38 years in 1984; both parents; four brothers; one sister; and one great-grandson. He is survived by his five children, Lynnda (Tom) of BC, Fred of Winnipeg, Terry (Jeannette) of Winnipeg, Janice (Ron) of Minitonas, MB, and Lorraine (Garry) of Woodlands, MB; sisters, Avis of Souris, and Jenny of Brandon; one sister-in-law Racheal of Portage La Prairie; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and his trusty cat (Junior). Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 20 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Viewing prior to the service. Active pallbearers are James McClune, Ken Cady, Curtis Blue, Jeremy Blue, Ron Suski, and Gary Blue. WILLIAM (BILL) E. RICHARDS March 3, 1913 - July 16, 2004 Bill went to his rest peacefully, July 16, 2004 at Kin Place in Oakbank, MB. He was predeceased by his wife Joyce; mother Violet and his brother Bert. Bill leaves to mourn his very loving granddaughter Yvette; daughters, Marlene Perreault, Justine Rioux (Dennis); sons, Fred Richards (Yvette), Garry Richards (Susan); grandchildren, Tony Perreault (Yvette), Susanne Taylor (Brad), Bobby, Mary-Ann, Marjorie-Ann, David, Kim, Andrew; also sister Mary Richards; brother Justin Richards and many nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. A celebration of Bill's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 21 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). Interment will take place in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the reception centre. YVONNE ROMANYCHYN (ROMAN) (SOCHOR) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother and grammy on July 14, 2004 at the Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 85 years. Mom will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Gerald, (wife Rose Marie) and Harold, (wife Vera); grandchildren, Robyn (husband Mark Waddell), Jay, Jared and Matthew. Also left to remember her are brothers, Emil (Josie) and Steve and her nieces and nephews. Her beloved husband Bill, predeceased Mom in 1989. Mom and Dad were married in 1943 and together they enjoyed 46 years happy years together. They spent many weekends at their cottage at Lake Brereton, travelling to Disneyland, Hawaii, Cuba and across Canada and the United States. It was Mom's fondest wish to go to Hawaii one more time. Mom worked for many years in the fur business and latterly as a secretary for the Workers Benevolent Association, retiring in 1984. While at the WBA she hosted two tours to the Ukraine. Specials thanks to the caregivers at the Maples Personal Care Home and the nurses in Unit 4 and 7 at the Seven Oaks Hospital for their kindness, care and attention. At Mom's request cremation has taken place. A memorial service in her memory will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. on Wednesday, July 21 at 12:30 in the afternoon. GERALD GORDON SAMPSON Gerald Gordon Sampson, peacefully, after a lengthy battle with cancer, passed away at the Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga, on Saturday, July 17, 2004, in his 78th year. Survived by his loving wife Diane (Sayer) of 51 years; daughter Lynn (Paul) Woroshow and son Stewart (Shirley) Sampson; grandchildren, Eric, Sarah and Andrew. Dear brother to Gwen (Bill) Zroback, Al (Colleen) Sampson and Harold (May) Sampson. Gerry was 54 years a Master Mason; a life member of Pequonga Lodge #414 in Kenora, ON. He was a life member and Past "Z" of Toronto-Antiquity Chapter #91 of Royal Arch Masons and a life member Emmanuel Preceptory #83. Gerry was also a life member of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite Freemasons, having been raised to the 32nd degree in the Moore Sovereign Consistory in 1962. Gerry was a proud Shriner, and a Past Pipe Major and co-founder of the Rameses Shriners Pipe Band. He was also a member of the Fountain Hills Masonic Square Club and the International Association of Turtles. Gerry was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #344. Past commanding officer of the 78th Fraser Highlanders also a member of the Honorable Guard and of the Honorable Henchmen. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 22 at the St. Andrew's Memorial Presbyterian Church, 24 Stavebank Rd., Mississauga, 905-278-8907 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Credit Valley Hospital-Cancer Wing or a charity of choice.

WILLIAM (BILL) T. SOMERSET August 7, 1925 - July 15, 2004 After a valiant battle with cancer, Dad died peacefully surrounded in love by family and friends. Dad is survived by his children Sandra, Bill Jr., and Cathy (David). He was also the proud grandfather to Christian (MaryAnn), Jordana, Landon, Duncan, and McKenna, and a great-grandfather to Alexander. Dad also leaves behind his special lady friend Bo Vuckovic; his brother Jack (Valerie); his brother-in-law Harry Cockshott; his nephews, David (Kerry) and Robert (Inge); and his niece Shirley (Ed). He was predeceased by his father and mother, Samuel and Bridget Somerset, and his sister, Florence Cockshott. Dad was born
in Woodridge, MB where he lived until he left to serve as a paratrooper in the Second World War and again in the Korean Conflict in 1950. After the war he returned to Winnipeg where he resided until his passing. Dad worked at T.C.A. (Air Canada) for over ten years. In 1966, Dad became the proud co-owner of Frank Automotive Supplies for over 30 years, serving Winnipeg, Calgary, Lethbridge, and Edmonton. Dad enjoyed a good joke, a cold drink, and spending time with family and friends. Special thanks to all of the wonderful nurses and doctors on 7A West and in S.I.C.U. at the Saint Boniface Hospital for their extraordinary care. Your compassion and support is greatly appreciated. A celebration of life will take place on Tuesday, July 20 at 10:00 a.m. at Green Acres, Hwy. No. 1 East at Navin Road. Interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. STEFAN VALDIMAR STEFANSON Peacefully on Friday, July 16, 2004 at the E.M. Crowe Memorial Hospital with his family by his side, Stefan Stefanson passed away at the age of 87. Stefan was born
on January 20, 1917 in Winnipeg. The family had homesteaded in the Stony Hill District east of Lundar two years prior. Stefan attended the Rocky Hill School and grew up on the family farm. His father passed away at a young age so he took over the farm and lived there his entire life. In 1949, he married Agnes Hartman and together they raised their two children. Stefan's whole life was dedicated to his family and his farm. He loved working outdoors and enjoyed the country to its fullest. He loved caring for his animals, enjoyed haying season and, in later years, leisurely fixing things around the farm. He was always interested in community affairs and served as a trustee for the Rocky Hill School for many years. Stefan is survived by his loving wife Agnes of 55 years; son John; daughter Donna (John) Kostyshyn; sister Helga Scharf; brothers-in-law, Joe Hartman, Anton Hartman; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Moldowan, Mary Iverson and Eva Dicks; along with several nieces and nephews and many close friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Jon and Gudbjorg Stefanson; sisters, Jonina Stefanson and Kristjana Moldowan; brothers-in-law, Alec Moldowan, Bill Scharf, John Hartman and Jack Hartman; sisters-in-law, Ann Sturtevant and Lena Anderson. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 21 at the Lundar Legion Hall with Pastor Bill Watson officiating. Interment to follow at the Otto Church Cemetery. The family would like to thank Dr. Neil Burnet and the nurses and staff at the E.M. Crowe Memorial Hospital with special thanks given to Laura for all her loving care. ANNIE STRILESKI Peacefully, on July 16, 2004 Annie Strileski, beloved mother, Baba and Great-Baba passed away at the Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital. Mom is survived by her daughter Marcie Foster and son Leonard (Paulette) Sicinski; grandchildren, Nadine, Jim (Lisa), Dayna, Leah (Sean), Ryan (Jan) and Chad (Sharisse); great-grandchildren, Dallas, Dylon, Jesse and Ariana; along with many nieces and nephews. Mom is survived by her sister Jean Willis and her brother Don (Brenda) Skorupski. Mom was predeceased by her first husband Joseph Sicinski, her second husband Walter Strileski in 2000 and her son-in-law Murray Foster in 2002. She was born
on October 26, 1918 to Mary and John Skorupski. Mom and Dad farmed the family farm until 1984 when they retired and moved to Selkirk. Mom was known for her big vegetable gardens, her baking, sewing and knitting. We all have keepsakes of Mom's hard working hands. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank two special homecare girls, Charlene Balcaen and Marj Labelle. Also, the nurses at the SDGH and the nurses at the Teulon Hospital for being so compassionate and understanding to us and for looking after Mom so professionally and lovingly in her final days. Thank you to Pastor Glen from Stonewall for your prayers and staying with us at a very difficult time. ANNE CHUDLEIGH (nee MACIEJKOW) Anne was born
on February 27, 1921 and passed away very peacefully on July 15, 2004 at St. Boniface Hospital, with Nancy and Rick at her side. Anne was born
and raised in Springfield Municipality, and attended North Springfield School. She started working at an early age, including working on the family farm, at the old Children's Hospital, the Carlton Club, the Bird's Hill General Store and Restaurant, and at Ludwick's Catering. Anne was very independent and loved her home and garden. Anne married Bryan Chudleigh in 1949, Bryan predeceased her in 1971. Anne was also predeceased by her parents, and brothers, Mike, Nick, Peter and Bill. She leaves to mourn her brothers and sisters, Joe (Dorothy), Mary (Michael), Jessie (Ed), Elsie, and Alec (Diane); sisters-in-law, Vera Nilsson, Shirley Maciejkow, Frances Magico, Anne Maciejkow, Sophie Maciejko; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. The family thanks and appreciates the wonderful care and compassion shown by the palliative care, 8th floor, at St. Boniface General Hospital, including the nurses, doctors, and support staff.
