WILLIAM (BILL) E. RICHARDS March 3, 1913 - July 16, 2004 Bill went to his rest peacefully, July 16, 2004 at Kin Place in Oakbank, MB. He was predeceased by his wife Joyce; mother Violet and his brother Bert. Bill leaves to mourn his very loving granddaughter Yvette; daughters, Marlene Perreault, Justine Rioux (Dennis); sons, Fred Richards (Yvette), Garry Richards (Susan); grandchildren, Tony Perreault (Yvette), Susanne Taylor (Brad), Bobby, Mary-Ann, Marjorie-Ann, David, Kim, Andrew; also sister Mary Richards; brother Justin Richards and many nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. A celebration of Bill's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 21 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). Interment will take place in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the reception centre. Special thanks to all the workers of Kin Place who took such good care of Bill. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bill's name to Kin Place in Oakbank. MARJORY STATKEWICH On July 16, 2004 at St. Joseph's Residence, in her 92nd year, Marjory Statkewich died peacefully surrounded by her family. Marjory was a loving mother and will be sadly missed by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as her sisters, nieces, nephews and friends. Prayers will be sung 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 20 at St. Joseph's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 250 Jefferson Ave. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 21, also at the church. MARLENE MAE WESLEY March 30, 1947 - July 14, 2004 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marlene Wesley at the age of 57 on Wednesday, July 14, 2004 at St. Boniface Hospital. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother. After months of battling with cancer, she went peacefully with her family by her side. The shock of her diagnosis, shortly followed by the time of her passing, left many of us in a state of surprise and sorrow. Her memory will be cherished by her loving husband David; daughters, Tanis and Alanna and granddaughter Kyla. She is also survived by sisters, Erma and Val, brother Louis; son-in-law Mezgebe; nephews, Michael, Martin and Miguel; cousins, friends and colleagues. Marlene was born
in Walker's Wood, Jamaica in 1947. In the mid 70's, she moved to Winnipeg, later meeting David. They married on June 23, 1979, and raised two lovely daughters, Tanis and Alanna. Marlene was a devoted nurse of 28 years at St. Boniface Hospital, and retired in August of 2002. Marlene's life and love revolved around her family and friends. She was immensely proud of her family and actively kept abreast of the life of her granddaughter. She enjoyed her home, particularly baking and gardening. She also enjoyed music, dancing and reading. Marlene believed life was to be enjoyed to the fullest. We would like to thank the staff of Cancer Care and of the 5th floor of St. Boniface Hospital for their compassion and kindness. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 19 at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens at 455 Lagimodiere at 2:00 p.m. There will be a viewing on Sunday, July 18 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please send to Cancer Care St. Boniface. PARASKA WOROSCHUK (nee PLECHY) It is with deep sorrow that we, the family, announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother Paraska (Polly) Woroschuk on July 12, 2004, at the age of 98 years. Mom was born
in Zhoda, MB, on October 21, 1905, to the late Panko and Dora Plechy. In Zhoda, she met and married Nicholas Woroschuk, and together they operated a farm. Following the sudden death of her husband in 1967, Mom moved to Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her brothers, Metro, Nick and Steve Plechy; sisters, Mary Zacharuk, Ann Swaitkewich and Irene Laliberte. Mom is lovingly survived by her only son William and his wife Darlene; and by her two grandchildren, Claramae and Kevin Woroschuk. Numerous nieces and nephews also cherish her memory. Prayers will be offered on Sunday, July 18 at 7:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. #1 E. at Navin Road. Funeral service will take place on Monday, July 19 at 2:00 p.m., also at Green Acres Funeral Chapel. Rev. Fr. Andrew Wach will preside. Interment will follow in Zhoda Community Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kevin Woroschuk, Harvey Beck, Frank Hawryshko, Harry Hawryshko, Paul Rolski and Norm Cipuzak. IRENE ANTYMIS It is with deep sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother on July 13, 2004 at the age of 89. Irene is predeceased by her beloved husband John (1987); her sisters, Nellie and Stella; her brothers, Peter, Mike and Steve; and her best furry friend Tang. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Raymond Antymis and wife Linda, daughter Linda Paul and husband Harold, daughter Darlene Gordon and husband George of BC; her grandchildren, Cindy Fernandes and husband Alex, Darren Paul and Christine Brown, Russell Antymis and wife Kathy, Daria Nowell and husband Chris; her great grandchildren Danielle, Jessica, Nicholas, Sarah and Jennifer; and her sisters, Anne Hlady and Ella Hlady, sisters-in-law, Pearl Antymis, Alice Cronk and husband Eddy. The happiest days of her long life were the retired years spent with John at the cottage in Belair, the annual trips to BC to visit her daughter Darlene and husband George, and all the special moments spent with family and friends. Her family loved her Ukrainian cooking and she loved to share it. Irene was always a vibrant and energetic woman, who in her later years continued to enjoy gardening and a game of bingo, cards or carpet bowling with her many Lion's Place friends. A most appreciative thanks to the paramedics, Cowichan District Hospital staff (especially Dr. Mountain & nurses Sue & Brenda), Rev. Golabek & Honey Forbes (coroner). She will be dearly missed by all her Vancouver Island friends. ROBERT (BOB) CAMPBELL After a lengthy illness, Bob, beloved husband of Eileen (Boychuk), passed away peacefully on July 15, 2004 at CPL Parkview Place. Born in Winnipeg (1934) to Elizabeth and Hugh Campbell. Growing up, Bob spent years in Churchill and many prairie towns before settling in Dauphin. Bob enjoyed a long career as a lineman with the CNR, first in Canora, SK and finally in Winnipeg. Many of his co-workers became life long friends. He also enjoyed his family. Bob's devotion and love for "Josh" was a seminal part of his life. He was a strong man who never sat down except to eat and sleep. One of Bob's proudest achievements was joining AA, which he credited with saving his life. A special thank you to the very caring staff and floor mates of Parkview Place. Left to fondly remember Bob are sons, (deceased mother Dorothy, nee Kaleta) Norman (Elizabeth), Gordon (Judith) and Bob (Joannie); grandchildren, Christopher, Hugh, Mark and Sam; and Eileen's children, Debbie, Jerry (Julie) and grandchild Joshua. Bob was predeceased by granddaughter Hope Elizabeth.
