Ted is survived by his sons, Gary (Patti) and Rick Ducharme; his daughter Joanne Bilodeau (Rene) and his very dear friend and companion, Dorothy Dunsmore. He will also be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Jeremy, Melissa, Michelle, Venice, Ryan, Jordan, Jessica and Brenden, as well as the entire Dunsmore family - who considered him a family member. When we think of Ted, we'll remember him for many reasons - everything from his powers of observation and the delight he took in nature's many wonders, to the enjoyment he got from watching a wrestling match on television. We would like to thank the staff on GH3 for their care and assistance during Ted's illness. It is very much appreciated. To honour his memory, there will be a gathering of family and friends in the lounge of the Kiwanis building at 500 Widlake St. in Transcona on Sunday, July 25 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those who so desire may make a donation to the charity of their choice. Though your body became frail, your spirit remained strong, your love unwavering, your counsel astute and your support complete. Thank you so much for being our mother - may God care for you as you did for us. All of us, your friends and family, will truly miss you. We were not ready to let you go. A private funeral and memorial was held on July 7, presided over by Olive's brother, Pastor Randy Paquette. A letter of appreciation was read by Olive's sister, Vilma Ambrose, and hymns were selected by her brother, Raymond Paquette. A special thank you to them.
