Marjorie took a Scholar in Theology Degree (STh) from Trinity College, University of Toronto. In 1955 she taught school in Cormorant, MB., then later on the Moose Lake Reserve near The Pas, MB. In 1958 she left teaching for a full-time parish ministry in Swan River Valley, MB. In 1977 she was ordained a priest with three other women, then in 1985, at the Church of the Ascension, Coaldale, she was the first woman priest to work in the Calgary Diocese. In 1991 Marjorie Kennon was made an Honorary Canon of the Cathedral Church of the Redeemer, Calgary, AB. She retired from parish work in 1995, but continued to serve the Lord and her parish by visiting the sick and being a spiritual advisor right up until her passing.

A Funeral Service will be held at the ANGLICAN CHURCH OF ASCENSION, 2113 – 17th Street, Coaldale, AB., on Friday, November 27, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. with Right Reverend Derek Hoskin presiding and assisted by Reverend Michael Ebsworth and Reverend Erin Phillips. MARGARET EMMA KRYWOLT
1919-2009
Margaret Emma Krywolt of Lethbridge AB passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on October 29, 2009 at the age of 90 years, predeceased by her ever, greatly loved husband Edward Michael Krywolt.

Left to cherish her love and memories are her children Wayne (Hazel) of Lethbridge, Arlene (Lee) Kubica of Whitehorse YT and Ward (Sheryn) of Calgary, grandchildren Russell (Michelle) Krywolt of Burnaby BC, Greg Kubica of Whitehorse and Paula Kubica of Burnaby respectively, and great grand children Duncan and Cecilia Krywolt of Burnaby. Numerous nieces, nephews and their extended families will remember her fondly and know each had a special place in her heart.

Besides husband Eddie who passed away October 27, 1976 in Coleman Alberta, she was predeceased by her parents William (1972) and Louisa (1967) Hoggan in Coleman Alberta, her brother George Hoggan (1980) in Prince George BC and her sister & brother-in-law Edna and Norman Schnepf (1990) in Abbotsford BC.

Margaret was born at her parents’ home October 10, 1919 and lived in Coleman for the next 87 years. She married her everlasting love Eddie on July 28, 1939. In 1945, they relocated to a new house, which was home for some 60 years. For the next 30 years, she was a full time wife and mother. Life style improvements, though slow and hard won were celebrated and enjoyed and from a child’s point of view were irrelevant because Mom was always there whenever you needed her, or just wanted butterhorns. Margaret thrived on family activities which included frequent gatherings, picnics and annual holidays. Helping with bake sales, rummage sales, whist drives along with like social activities seemed to fill her spare time calendar.

Margaret liked people and formed strong, supportive and long lasting friendships. That her friendships were two way was very evident when she received extensive support and companionship to help deal with the traumatic loss of Eddie, at the young age of 60, from her co-workers at the Post Office, her close neighbors, her card partners, her Elder Hostel traveling companions, her Coleman Seniors Association committee volunteers and her extended family.

Her decision in 2006 to move to Martha’s House in Lethbridge quickly became a pleasurable opportunity for renewing acquaintances and making new friends. Unfortunately her newest relationships were shortened by her unexpected passing.

Margaret was considered a special lady who treasured family, old friends and new friends so easily made, which no doubt accounted for her meticulous ability to remember who made the dessert for 1984 Christmas dinner.

A Memorial Service lead by Rev Nicky Keyworth will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB. on Thursday, November 5, 2009 at 11:00 A.M.

No flowers please. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Box 2211, Lethbridge, AB., T1J 4K7 or Canadian Diabetes. Association, 210D – 12 “A” Street North, Lethbridge, AB., T1H 2J1.

MRS. MARY LYNN LAMBERT (“LYNN”)
1943-2009
MRS. MARY “LYNN” LAMBERT beloved wife of Mr. Ray Lambert of Lethbridge, AB. passed away at the St. Michael’s Health Centre on Saturday, December 26, 2009 at the age of 66 years.

Lynn was the loving mother of Ron (Val) Lambert and Bob (Joanne) Lambert both of Lethbridge.

Besides her loving husband and children, Lynn leaves to mourn and cherish her memory her precious grandchildren, Cynthia and Rob Lambert of Lethbridge; her brother, Jim Burroughs (Cheri) of Bakersfield, California; her sisters-in-law, Helene (Peter) Davey of Nanaimo, B.C. and Lucille Maloney of Peachland, B.C. as well as several nieces and nephews.

Lynn was predeceased by her niece, Nancy Jobling; her parents, Kathleen and Robert (Bob) Burroughs; her sister Barbara Jean Ferris; her parents-in-law, Jeanne and Roland Lambert; and her brother-in-law, Joe Maloney; as well as her grandparents and several aunts and uncles.

Lynn was fondly remembered for breaking the two-minute silence when she was born in Vulcan, AB. on November 11, 1943. She was raised and educated in Swift Current, Sask. and was an alumni of Swift Current Collegiate Institute, Lethbridge College of Nursing, 1976, and the Grant MacEwan Occupational Health Nursing Certification Program, 1987. Throughout her education, Lynn held several leadership roles and also earned many academic awards.

Lynn met her life partner, Ray, in Swift Current during the summer of 1960 and they were wed three years later in Yellowknife, N.W.T. where their eldest son, Ron, was born in 1965. They moved to Swift Current in 1966, and in 1967 their second son, Bob was born. When the children began school, Lynn chose to pursue her nursing ambitions and attended both the Medicine Hat and the Lethbridge Community Colleges of Nursing, graduating with honours. She began her speciality of Occupational Health Nursing with Catelli, Inc. in Lethbridge and also continued in this profession with A.G.T. (working in both Lethbridge and Medicine Hat) where she achieved her Canadian Occupational Health Nursing Certification. Lynn truly loved both her work and the people she served, and was most fortunate to meet many wonderful and lasting friends throughout her career. Prior to retiring in 2002, Lynn held the position of Employee Health Co-ordinator for the Chinook Health Authority. Lynn was actively involved in various executive positions for both the local and provincial bodies of the Alberta Occupational Health Nursing Association. She was also involved in past participation as a member of the Board of Directors for the M.S. Society.

After retirement, Lynn and Ray pursued their love of travel, and after several trips to Arizona, purchased their own little haven in Yuma, Arizona. During their travels, they both fell in love with Hawaii, and thoroughly enjoyed their tri-continental cruise to Europe.

Among her many interests, Lynn loved to play the piano, having been taught by her mother when she was just a young girl. She and Cynthia spent many happy times together playing their beloved duets. Not only did Lynn play for enjoyment, but she also found her music a great comfort to her during difficult times. Along with her husband, Lynn was a member of the Lethbridge Golf and Country Club, and spent many wonderful hours golfing there with her family and friends. Lynn’s favourite and most meaningful times were those she spent with her family, particularly the time she spent with her grandchildren on their special Monday nights together, and the family gatherings with her sons who revelled in coming up with new and unique “pet names” for her – Perkins, Benjie, Banana, Grasshopper, etc. Lynn was a loving and caring individual who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

A Prayer Service will be held at OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2405 – 12th Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB. on Sunday, January 3, 2010 at 7:00 P.M.

A Funeral Mass to celebrate Lynn’s life will be held at the All Saints’ Parish Roman Catholic Church at OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH on Monday, January 4, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Tim Boyle celebrant. Interment to follow the service at the Mountain View Cemetery.

Flowers are gratefully declined. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Lethbridge Cancer Society, 317-10th Street South, Lethbridge, AB., T1J 2M7, or to St. Michael's Foundation, Palliative Care Unit, 1400 - 9th Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB. T1J 4V5, or Lethbridge Red Cross Society, 1120 – 7 Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB. T1J 1K5.
