Ryan, Gerard (Gerry)
July 30, 2001
On Friday, July 27, 2001, I agreed to an early retirement.
I have found the peace I’ve been searching for. The fringe benefits here are “out of this world,” and the joy of being greeted by dad (David Ryan - 1998) and again enjoying the laughter of my sisters (Pauline Robitaille - 1998 and Fernande Legrow - 1995). Donna, Mom and Sean, you needn’t cry for me. Through my love for you, my spirit lives forever…
Donna, I know your heart is a little fragile, with its bumps and bruises but now I’m able to take care of it. Sean, my pride and my love for you is as great as any father’s could be for his son. Please don’t ignore the lessons I’ve taught you.
Mom through your open heart, you have taught me love, faith, trust, gratitude and appreciation. You guided and encouraged me to share your examples with my family. Mom, I am happy. Ray, Kevin, Stephanie and Tiffany, I’ve watched you grow into adulthood in such a loving way that I know your mom will be O.K. Huguette, Philippe, Michel, Robert and Raymond, I see how hard it is to let me go. I may have come last in line, but I know I was always first with you.
Mitch, Joyce, Joan, Diane and Judy, keep watching over them for me. See you when you get here.
Visitation at Janisse Brothers-Marcotte Funeral Home, 1139 Ouellette Ave., Windsor, Ontario. (519-253-5225) will be Sunday 2–4 and 6–9pm. Funeral service Monday, July 30, 2001 at 1:30pm will be officiated by Father Paul Charbonneau, who never gave up on me. Donations can be made to Brentwood Recovery Home, 2335 Dougall Avenue, Windsor, Ontario, N8X 1T9.
