MRS. JESSIE ALLEMEKINDERS beloved wife of Mr. John Allemekinders of Lethbridge, passed away at home on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at the age of 75 years.
Funeral arrangements to be announced when completed.
ANDROKOVICH, JOSEPH SR.
1914-2010
MR. JOSEPH ANDROKOVICH beloved husband of the late Elizabeth Androkovich of Lethbridge, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Monday, January 25, 2010 at the age of 95 years.
He is survived by his children; George, Joe Jr. (Elsie), Mary Ann (Dave) Duban, and daughters in law Inga and Heather, all residing in Lethbridge; 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Joe is also survived by his brother Les Sr. (Isabelle) Androkovich, nephews and nieces.
Joe was predeceased by his loving wife Elizabeth; sons Roy and John; parents Andrew and Catherine; brother Andy and infant sister Mary.
Joe was born in Lethbridge on June 8, 1914 at the St. Michael’s Hospital. He was raised on a farm east of Lethbridge. Joe married Elizabeth Smolnicky on January 28, 1945. Together they operated two farms; one included grain in the Readymade area, the other east of Lethbridge had sugar beets, hay, grain and dairy cattle. They retired to the City in 1982.
Joe attended Olds College for Agriculture and Calgary Tech in 1936 for Farm Construction. He loved the farm and the life it gave his family. He hunted with his sons, loved music, could play many instruments and loved attending auctions, always coming home with antiques.
At the time of his passing, Joe was the oldest member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and a long time member of The Hungarian Old-Timers Society.
Joe was deeply loved by his family and friends and will be sadly missed.
A Prayer Service will be held at ST. PATRICK’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 318-10th Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta on Thursday, January 28, 2010 at 7:00 P.M. with Deacon Frank Peta officiating.
A Funeral Service will be held at ST. PATRICK’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 318-10th Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta on Friday, January 29, 2010 at 1:30 P.M. with Reverend Tim Boyle officiating.
Interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
ALLEN, GORDON LESLEY "BUS"
1921-2010
MR. GORDON (BUS) LESLEY ALLEN passed away with his beloved wife Nancy and long time friend John Zimerman at his side, January 23, 2010 at the age of 89 years.
At Bus’s request there will be no service.
The family would like to thank the Lethbridge Regional Hospital and the Home Care workers.
MICHAEL ALDOFF SR.
1931-2009
MR. MICHAEL ALDOFF SR. beloved husband of Mrs. Marlene Aldoff of Lethbridge, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at the age of 78 years.
Mike was born in Wayne, AB. On June 16, 1931 and later moved to Coleman where he spent his early youth. At age 15 he travelled north to work in Dawson City, Yukon and began working on a gold dredge , he was also the camp cook. A few years later he had an Indian Motorcycle he purchased new flown to Dawson City to ride home via the infamous Alaska Highway.
He went to work in the coalmine and ran a Cat on a big strip mine. He then moved on to Banff, AB., working in the Banff Springs Hotel and as an apprentice baker. At this point in his life, the rodeo bug took hold and was where he met his wife of 54 years.
He decided to become an auctioneer and open a western store in Lethbridge, AB. As fate would have it the store was extensively damaged by fire, sending him in the direction of Fort St. John where he became a serious auctioneer which became his love and lifelong passion. Due to climate and the longing to try new things, he moved to Kamloops where he raised his four children and became a Hall of Fame auctioneer.
In his later years, he retired to pursue his dream of restoring collectable cars, which have been purchased by buyers all over the world.
Mike moved back to his roots in the last part of his life and enjoyed old friends and especially his younger brother.
A Funeral Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB. on Wednesday, December 16, 2009, at 1:00 P.M., with Monty Aldoff officiating.
A Memorial Service will be held in Kamloops at a later date.
CLARA WILSON ANDERSON
1911-2009
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, CLARA WILSON ANDERSON.
Born in Gaudiedale, Scotland, May 7, 1911 she immigrated to Canada in April 1924 settling in the Picture Butte area. Married in 1931 to Lloyd Edward Anderson she became a loving and dedicated wife and mother. Clara was devout in her spiritual beliefs, teaching Sunday School and accepting the role of Superintendent of Sunday School for many years. She also taught C.G.I.T. as well as instilling Christian values in her own four children. Clara was a talented seamstress and homemaker. She took up oil painting late in life leaving many beautiful works of art. A gracious, gentle caring lady, she will leave an emptiness in our hearts but also many memories. She will be safe in Gods’ care until we meet again.
Predeceased by her husband Lloyd in 1998 and her eldest son Gerald in 2005, she will be lovingly remembered by her children, Floyd (Sharon) Anderson, Wayne (Rita) Anderson, Donna West, 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Her grandchildren will always remember many priceless moments when she entertained them with her witty and contagious sense of humour, leaving them in stitches for days.
Funeral Services for Clara will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB., on Friday, October 16, 2009 at 1:00 P.M., with Pastor Peter Coyne officiating. Interment to follow in Mountain View Cemetery.

MARY ALLAN-COX
1946-2009
MARY PATRICIA ALLAN-COX, beloved wife of Monte, passed away in Lethbridge, on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at the age of 63 years.
Besides her loving husband she is survived by her daughter Carrie (Brent) Trout of Delia, AB., Corporal Andrew Capobianco of Trenton, ON., and her beautiful grandchildren Thomas, Autumn and Brooke. She is also survived by Monte’s daughters and their families.
Mary was born in Cardston, AB. to Andrew William Allan, Government Area Veterinarian and his wife Dorothy Desilets McAlpine Allan, teacher.
She is survived by her sisters Elizabeth “Betty” (David) Field, Elinor (David) Forster, Joan (Jim-deceased) Holmes and their families.
Mary is a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, sister in law, aunt and friend. She worked at the St. Michael’s Hospital, first as a nurse and then as a lab assistant. She loved to travel to Arizona until her health would not permit it. She is an accomplished artist, winning many firsts in the oil painting division. Her craftsmanship played a significant role in her homemaking. She made numerous quilts, sewed and refinished furniture. She loved to help others with their family searches in the genealogy library. She made an effort to make every Christmas special. We love you Mom and Grandma.

Friends may meet with the family prior to the service at the church from 10:00 A.M to 10:45 A.M.
GARY ABERDEEN
1956-2009
GARY ABERDEEN, OF THE BLOOD RESERVE Passed away PEACEFULLY AT HIS RESIDENCE IN STANDOFF, ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 5, 2009 AT THE AGE OF 53 YEARS.
Gary leaves to mourn, his long time friend and companion Anthony Wells/Roundnose, his special adopted son, Corbin Campbell, his brothers, Lindsay, James, David (Rhea), sisters, Yvonne (Rufus) Pretty Young Man, Sandra (Pat) McDougall, Patsy (Ed) and their families, Aunts, Mrs. Elizabeth Big Throat, Mrs. Clara (Francis) Russell and families.
Gary was predeceased by his parents Daisy and Phillip Aberdeen, brothers – Edmund, Ivan, Lester, Gabriel, Phillip Jr., sisters – Virginia, Mary and nephew Matthew Aberdeen.
Gary was born and raised on the Blood Reserve and resided in the Standoff Community most of his life. Gary was always surrounded by friends and relatives and was always there to assist those in need. Although Gary was quiet in nature, he had a sense of humor and will be remembered for his wit and honesty. Gary took great pride in his meticulous home and surroundings.
Gary attended Standoff Day School, Lee Side School in Cardston, St. Mary’s Jr. H.S., and finished at the Catholic Central High School in Lethbridge. The highlight in his life was a school trip throughout Europe. Following high school he enrolled in a computer course at the Lethbridge College. Gary worked in many different fields throughout his life.
Gary will be sadly missed by friends and relatives.
