WAYNE HAMILTON

WAYNE HAMILTON Suddenly on September 22, 2004, Wayne passed away with his son Dwayne by his side, at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 55 years. Wayne is survived by his wife of 29 years, Gerri; son Dwayne (Melissa); daughters, Chelsea-Leigh (Steve), Sacha (Randy); grandchildren, Darrien, Justin and Kayla. He also leaves to mourn his mother Marjorie Dillman; sisters, Margo (Peter) Bernard, Diane (Anne) Warren; nieces and nephews Eric, Marjorie, Teddy, Troy, Tony and Tara. He was predeceased by his father Eric Dillman. Wayne was raised in Dartmouth, NS and after marrying his wife they moved first to Regina and then back to Halifax, then to Ottawa and eventually moved to Winnipeg until his passing. Wayne was employed at Security Glass for most of his working life; he will be sadly missed by his friends at work, Crash, Ernie, Lee, Sherri, Dave, Glen, Trevor, Doug, Bill and many other co-workers including Gary. He worked 24/7 and dared any of us to try and stop him. Wayne was the most loving and caring person. For all of us whose lives he has touched, we will be forever grateful to him for all the love and care he has shown to us all. Wayne was always playing pranks on those he loved, and giving us that crazy grin of his, to show that he once again "got ya". Through good times and bad no one in the family ever doubted his love. They knew he would move heaven and earth for them to be happy. His natural kids and those he claimed as his "adopted kids" loved him and proudly called him Dad. We all knew no matter how full the house was, there was always room for one more. Wayne is irreplaceable, and as someone said, they broke the mold when they made him. Our Dad Had a smile that touched everyone's heart A smile we know never will part He's gone now But forever in our hearts We love you Daddy We'll see you soon You will never leave us As long as we remember The beautiful smile on your face. The family would like to extend a huge thank you to Mark and Mike for their courageous help and lifesaving efforts. Also thank you to the paramedics and staff at the MICU department at the Health Sciences Centre. Especially Wayne's nurse Jessica, you are incredible and we will forever remember your kindness. A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 27 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Luke's Anglican Church, 130 Nassau St. N. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Wayne's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044

Many happy times were spent at the lake and on Boulder Bay, especially Christmas Eve. Mom loved sports. She traveled with Joe to many old time hockey games in Canada and the USA. Blanche and Joe especially enjoyed following son Randy in hockey and baseball. Baseball became a passion. Helen and Blanche would be watching television and talking on the phone about the games. Blanche enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; attending sporting events, concerts, teas, dance recitals and birthdays. Mom loved anything small and always said "Isn't that cute."
