KING - Rose Violet (nee Knapp) Rose Violet King passed away peacefully at the Peter Lougheed Centre on Saturday, April 19, 2003 at the age of 87 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Wilbert and their two children, Beverley and Robert (Beverly) of Barrie, ON along with their two children, Ryan and Cory. Rose is survived by her two half-brothers, Douglas (Millie) Knapp of Halifax and Robert (Jo) Knapp of Chilliwack; her two sisters-in-law, Verne Knapp of Halifax and Gladys Arnold of Mississauga; along with many nieces and nephews. MARJORAM - Joseph "Joe" July 5, 1924 - April 21, 2003 Joe passed away after a short illness at the Rockyview Hospital with his family by his side on Monday, April 21, 2003. MILLER - Zeno 1919 - 2003 Zeno Miller, beloved husband of Marga Miller, passed away with dignity and the grace of our Lord at the Rockyview General Hospital on Saturday, April 19, 2003 at the age of 83 years. Zeno is survived by his loving wife Marga, his soulmate and life-long companion. He will be forever remembered with love and fondness by his two sons and two daughters-in-law, Gerald and Christina Miller, and Eric Miller and Ellen-Anne O'Donnell; and his grandchildren, Nadia and Patrick, who adored their Opa and shared many special times with him. He is also survived by his very dear sister Zita Fuchs of Kelowna, BC; as well as his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. Zeno was predeceased by his parents Edmund and Stephanie Miller, his brothers, Hugo and Victor, and his sister Trudy Person. Zeno was born on December 14, 1919 in Belchatow, Poland. He grew up in Zdunska-Wola and apprenticed as a metal worker. He was called to service in Europe during World War II, and was reunited with his family in Frankfurt, Germany after the war. Zeno moved to Calgary, AB in 1953, marrying Marga in 1954. Zeno worked as a welder at Barber Machinery for over twenty-five years, retiring in 1984. Zeno was a strong, quiet, and peaceful gentleman. He was sensitive, compassionate, patient, and kind. He enjoyed travelling with Marga, visiting family and friends, helping Christina and Gerald on projects at the cottage, watching Eric's and Patrick's hockey games, Nadia's dancing, and sharing quiet moments with Ellen-Anne. He enjoyed walks, cycling, gardening, skating, playing cards, and especially family gatherings. His family was his life. When amused, he would smile and his shoulders would shake, but when he did laugh, he laughed so hard that soon we were all laughing along with him. NIKOLYCHUK - Kay May 6, 1915 - April 20, 2003 Mrs. Kay Nikolychuk passed away peacefully at the Bow Crest Care Center on April 20, 2003 at the age of 87 years. She leaves behind to mourn her loss, a daughter Lynne; three sisters, Doris, Elsie (Matt), Betty; and her beloved nieces, Linda and Bev (who cared for her for seven and a half years); as well as many other family and friends. FORSTER - Helen Mary 1929 - 2003 Helen Mary Forster of Calgary passed away at the Peter Lougheed Centre on Friday, August 15, 2003 at the age of 73 years. Helen was born December 15, 1929 in London, England and came to Canada in 1955 where she met her husband Jack. She will be loved and missed by her husband Jack of forty-five years; her two children, Russ (Liz) and Kay (Russ) Sherstobitoff; as well as her four granddaughters, Jordan (ten), Meagan (eight), Katherine (five), and Jennifer (two). FORSYTH - Craig William Fraser It is with great sadness that the family announces the unexpected passing of Craig while on vacation in Invermere on Saturday, August 16, 2003 at the young age of 48. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife and best friend, Debbie; and daughters, Lauren, Katie and Robyn - the "lights of his life". Born and raised in Richmond, B.C. Craig settled with his family in Ladner, B.C. Craig was active throughout his life in sports and more recently soccer and softball with his girls. A career with Spalding Canada established Craig as a well respected member of the golf and sports industry. Craig is lovingly remembered by his sister Lynda (William) Slack, their children, Graham and Stephanie; sisters-in-law, Chris (Jim) Hoeppner, Sue (Wayne) Lyons; brothers-in-law, Bob (Caryl) Buchanan, Bill (Joyce) Buchanan; nieces and nephews, Kristen, Kimberly, and Meaghan, Jayme and Neale, Jennifer, Michelle and Robert; Auntie Eula and cousins. FRISKEN - James R., A.H.C. November 4, 1921 - August 14, 2003 Jim Frisken, beloved husband of Lillian Gray Frisken, passed away at the Sarcee Hospice in Calgary on August 14, 2003, after a lengthy illness. Jim was born in South Calgary and, with the exception of his service in the RCAF from 1942 to 1946, spent his entire life here. After the war, he traveled for Swift Canadian for a few years and then joined Eau Claire Hardware, which later became Spalding Hardware Limited, retiring from Spalding in September of 1984, after some thirty years of service. Jim was a life member of DHI and the Elks. Jim was predeceased by his father John Frisken in November of 1942, by his mother Margaret Elizabeth in June of 1970, his sister Margaret in December of 1989, and his sister Anne in December of 1993. Besides his wife, Jim is survived by his nephews, George (Norma) of Drumheller and John (Gail) of Calgary; his cousins, Margaret (Fred) Fochuk of Calgary, Angus (Wendy) Miller of Calgary and Bruce (Liz) Miller of Edinburgh, Scotland. He is also survived by his cousin Millar Gibson of Glasgow, Scotland and Millar's three nephews and their families; four great-nephews and two great-nieces and their families in Calgary, Edmonton and Youngstown. INAMASU - Cecile Anne 1920 - 2003 Cecile Anne Inamasu, of Calgary, passed away at the Sarcee Hospice on Sunday, August 17, 2003, after a short illness, at the age of 83 years. A native Calgarian, born June 12, 1920, Cecile attended St. Anne's School and St. Mary's Girls' High School. She was employed with Calgary Transit for twenty-three and one-half years. Cecile was a member of Inglewood Golf and Curling Club for fifty-two years. She was a member of the Calgary Japanese Community Association (Kotobuki-Kai), Ramsay Welcome Centre, Inglewood Silver Threads, and Transit Retirees Club. Cecile was also a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church and presently a member of St. Mary's Cathedral. Cecile is survived by a sister Mary Inamasu, and a brother Albert Inamasu, both of Calgary; a sister-in-law Sue Inamasu of British Columbia; two nieces, Marian (Peachy) Hersey (Ron) and their children, Dawn and Brent; Helen O'Brien and her son Michael O'Brien, and her two daughters, Maile Hunt (Ron) and their children, and Margaret Faust (Rick); and nephews, Cst. KLARICH - John 1948 - 2003 John (Ivica) Klarich, beloved father of Tea and Kresho, passed away suddenly at the Foothills Medical Centre on Wednesday, August 13, 2003 at the age of 55 years. Ivica was born on July 23, 1948 in Krapina, Croatia and immigrated to Canada in 1968. In Calgary, he became a partner in business with his brother-in-law Jake. They owned Ilko Steel Fabricators until Ivica became the sole proprietor. Ivica had a passion for music and loved playing his accordion. Besides his children, Ivica is survived by his wife Sonja. He is also survived by three sisters, Marija (Frank) Cerovecki, Magdica (Mirko) Krsnik, and Danica (Stjepan) Svaljek; a brother Josip (Pepica) Klaric; Jakob Kos; nephews, Steven (Ana) Klaric, Steve (Brenda) Kos, and Branko Kos; niece Bosiljka Cerovecki as well as numerous other nieces and nephews; and his "in-laws", Stefanija (Karl) Pachonik, Dijana Vukovic (Zeljko), Kuno Schiewe, Tara, and Tanya.
