ULLRICH - Rosa (Rose) Louise was called to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ on July 31, 2007 at the age of 87 years. Rose will be dearly missed by her loving daughter Margaret and husband Ed Tiefenbach; three grandchildren Jason (Christine), Jeffrey (Melanie) and Jodi and three great grandchildren Ava, Thomas and Griffin. She is survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband Egon, who was called to his heavenly home on February 16, 2005; her parents Jacob and Louise Meyer and her siblings Agathe, Fred, Hugo, Laura and Lillian. Rose was born June 7, 1920 at Openshaw, SK. She married Egon Ullrich whom she met while she was teaching at Old Kronau School in the country. They were married June 18, 1943 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Kronau, SK. In 1946, they moved to Regina and became members of Grace Lutheran Church, where Rose taught Sunday school and confirmation classes, was part of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League and Grace Golden Fellowship. Rose taught primary grades at Wetmore and Peart School in Regina for many years. Rose lived life large. She had a vibrant personality, an incredible love for God and people and she inspired all of us who loved her so dearly. In her spare time she loved to read, play the piano, play cards, do puzzles, write letters and relax at their cottage on Pasqua Lake. In earlier years, she and Egon entertained and delighted seniors with their musical talents as they both played in the Merry Makers band. A VISITATION will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK on Friday, August 3, 2007 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A CELEBRATION OF ROSE'S LIFE will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 1037 Victoria Avenue, Regina SK on Saturday, August 4, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. interment will take place at Regina Memorial Gardens Cemetery. BURNER - Richard (Dick) Irvine February 11, 1936 July 29, 2007 Life's beauties and wonders cover such a range but just as the wind they too quickly change. With his son and his daughter by his side, Richard (Dick) Burner passed away, suddenly but quietly, on Sunday, July 29, 2007 at the age of 71 years. Predeceased by his wife Marie (his angel by his side), Dick leaves behind his son Craig, his daughter Kari and his ever-faithful dog and companion Cleo. Dick is also survived by his sister Dorothy, daughter-in-law Melanie, grandson Quinn, many nieces and nephews, and an extensive network of family and friends. CHARABIN - Walter John Charabin, born on October 16, 1935 in North Battleford, Saskatchewan passed away peacefully at the Saskatoon City Hospital on Friday, July 27, 2007. Walter is predeceased by his parents Frederick and Pauline (nee Kindrachuk) Charabin, his sister Nel Bouey and his brother Ken Charabin. Walter is survived by his son Paul Charabin, his stepdaughter Aldine McConnell, and his sister Sylvia Sharpe. As well as many other family and friends that he loved and cherished. After being raised with his family in North Battleford, Walter completed a bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Saskatchewan. Until his retirement, Walter held positions with various Saskatchewan government departments including Social Services, Indian affairs, and Crop Insurance. After his retirement from Crop Insurance, Walter returned to The Battlefords area where he spent his remaining years surrounded by friends and family. Walter had a strong passion for the arts and enjoyed not only creating his on pottery but teaching others in the community. His many works of pottery are proudly displayed in the homes of friends and family. A celebration of Walter's life will be held at Willow Heights Community Hall (5 miles East on Highway 40 and 2.5 miles North on the Willow Heights grid, North Battleford) on Thursday, August 2 beginning at 7 pm. GERALD L COLBORNE - 1924 to 2007 Jerry has sailed on to a higher sea... He drifted away peacefully on Friday, July 27, 2007 with his family by his side. Jerry was predeceased by his son Gary and grandson Michael. He will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife Julia, son Terry (Diana) of Cockrane, AB, step-sons Len (Simone) of Wpg, Larry (Jackie) of Regina, Lloyd (Donna Sentes) of Thunder Bay, ON, grandsons Paul (Tona) Sentes of Wpg, Dean (Iona) Sentes of Calgary, Patrick Sentes of Regina, granddaughters Leila (Alan) Olinger, Kelsey Sentes (John), Tara Sentes (ON), great grandchildren Kristen, Alana, Devin, Matthew, Shane, Eric and Nicholas. Jerry was born in Fort William, Ontario. He served throughout W.W. II with the Royal Canadian Navy in the North Atlantic Theatre. Following the war service, Jerry attended University of Alberta, graduating with a B.S.C. in Mining Geology. He had a wide experience in exploration and development of Canada's mineral resources, having carried out programs in all provinces but P.E. I.. Jerry serviced with Saskatchewan Department of Mineral Resources before he joined the Saskatchewan Department of Industry and Commerce as Mineral Consultant, in 1967 he was appointed Deputy Minster. In 1967 he was awarded the Canada Centennial Medal for services to the nation. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. ROSS EXELBY - of Moose Jaw, formerly of Craik Sask., passed away peacefully on July 29th, 2007 at Pioneer Lodge, Moose Jaw Sask. Ross was born on September 21st 1932 in Craik, where he spent most of his life, until he retired to Moose Jaw in 2002. He was predeceased by his parents Harold and Nora Exelby, an infant daughter Mary, brother Gerald and many in-laws. Ross was forever a farmer, having a great interest and love in all aspects of farming. Many hours were spent studying pedigrees of harness race horses, and in the last few years Ross studied Red Angus and Black Angus Beef Cattle, which he successfully raised. His family was his pride and joy. Dorothy, Ross's wife of 50 years, sons Willie (Diane); Dan (Shannon) Dennis; and Tom, daughters, Tery (Jim) Smith; Gail (Stewart) Quinn; Margo (Paul) Rolheiser, eleven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren; five sisters and one brother, will miss him greatly. The funeral Mass of Resurrection will be held on Thursday August 2nd, 2007 at 11:00a.m. at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Craik Sask. with Rev. Father Neil Osiowy celebrant. Interment at the family plot, Craik Cemetery, Craik Sask. WETTON - Geraldine Loraine (Geri) passed away with her loving family at her side on Friday August 8, 2003 at the age of 79 years. Predeced by her parents, mother-in-law, two sisters, two brothers and her only son Donn. She is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years Ernest Vaughan, daughters Marie (Spencer) Smith, Wynona (Robert) Young, Maxine (Darvin) Friess, daughter-in-law Connie Wetton, grandchildren Angel (Ken), Tim, Marquita, Russ (Tracy), Tara, Chuck, Ty (Deanna), Michael, Cory, Ryan, Leslie and Carlee, 17 great grandchildren, one sister, three brothers and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

WOOD - Pauline Wood died on August 7, 2003 in the Vernon Jubilee Hospital at 83 years of age. She is survived by, her loving family: husband John (Jack); son Murray (Kate) Wood of Saskatoon, Sask.; daughter Lynne (Dana) Hoever of Vernon; grandchildren, Doug Wake and James Wake of Saskatoon, Allison Wood and Crystal Wood both of Winnipeg; one bother James Gerein of Regina. One son Garth Wood predeceased her in 1985. Born in Vibank, Sask. She was a nurse at St. Pauls Hospital in Saskatoon until 1950 and when her children were born she was busy raising them and looking after the home. Pauline was the youngest of a family of ten children. She came to Vernon with her husband in 1997. Through her life she was active in the church. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 12, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. Reverend Father Martin Peyton celebrant. Cremation and burial of the urn in Vernon City Cemetery.
