STEPHEN WALDINGER - Stephen, passed away peacefully at his home on July 29th, 2007. He leaves to mourn his wife, Emilia Millie of 57 years together; sons, Marty (Trudy) of Barrie, ON, Leonard (Alex) of Saskatoon, Larry (Meena) of Saskatoon; daughter, Lori (Tim) Daniels of Toronto; four grandchildren, Veronika and Frances Waldinger, Stephen and Phillip Daniels; in-laws, Peter (Wilma) Englot, Carl (Audrey) Englot, Tony (Anne) Englot, Nellie (Andrew) Kotylak, Joe (Norma) Englot, Bernice (Rene) Thibault, Shirley Englot, Frank (Gladys) Englot, Cecile (Stanley) Kotylak, Lawrence (Carol) Englot, Caroline Schmidt, Pauline (Frank) Clements, Stephania (Cliff) Flaman and Julien (Margaret) Englot. Stephen was predeceased by his parents, Steve and Helen; brothers-in-law, Chester Englot and Ron Schmidt; sisters-in-law, Lucy (Mike) Gorniak and Lena (Joe) Karpinski. Stephen was born in Port Colbourne, ON on July 7th, 1927 and in 1930 his family moved to the Regina area to farm. Stephen graduated from the Radio College of Canada in Toronto in 1947. He had his first date with Millie on September 8th, 1949 and they were married on May 27th, 1950. Stephen was a Real Estate Investor from 1951 to present, and a Scout Leader in Regina until 1960. He loved to travel and had many RV's. He loved to square dance, play cards and party and Sunday was a family day for picnics, snowmobiling and country drives. Stephen and Millie moved to Saskatoon in 1966 and then to an acreage in 1977. Stephen was a collector of antique cars and miscellaneous parts and auto collectables. He started working for Sasktel in 1949 and retired in 1983. The family wishes to express gratitude to Dr. O'Hashi and the staff at Home Care Services for their care and compassion they have given during Stephen's illness. The Vigil for Stephen will be held on Friday, August 3rd at 7:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 4th, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Father Len Cyr as the celebrant. Both services will be held from St. Philip Neri Roman Catholic Church (Munroe Ave and Taylor Street). Cremation Rite of Committal will take place next week at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Saskatoon Cancer Research Center, 20 Campus Dr. Saskatoon, S7N 4H4. ABOOD - On July 31, 2007 Mr. Dwight Abood of Regina, passed away suddenly at the age of 50 years. Predeceased by her father Ed Gosselin, her mother Bertha Gosselin and step-father John Wesko, her sisters Marie Gosselin and Teresa Gosselin. Left to mourn, her husband Dino Ficiur, brothers Harry Gosselin and Ed Kelly, her children Ricky, Gerald, Mike, Tim, Tina and Nieva, their spouses and children. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother who will be sadly missed by everyone that knew her. BAER -- GLORIA DOREEN, passed away peacefully at the Regina General Hospital on Tuesday, February 5, 2002 at the age of 69 years. Gloria was predeceased by her first husband Ernie Baer; parents Maggie and James; sister Louise and one child in infancy. Gloria is survived by her partner Charles Baer and children: Marnie (Mark) Stevens, Connie (Bill) Buckton, Kim (Rhonda) Baer, Michele Baer (Ken) and Karla (Gary) Kondratiuk; seventeen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; sister Eleanor Scarrow (Marc); brother Bud (Lavina) Poole and special sister Onagh (Bruce) Veer; her special friend Muffy as well as numerous friends and extended family members. Gloria donated a large amount of her time to the community with softball being her passion. She enjoyed spending time in her garden, tending to her roses as well as spending time with her many friends. "The cookie jar was always full". A PRIVATE FAMILY SERVICE will be held at a later date. God saw her getting tired, a cure was not to be. So He wrapped her in His loving arms and whispered "Come with Me." She suffered much in silence, her spirit did not bend. She faced her pain with courage, until the very end. She tried so hard to stay with us, her fight was all in vain. God took her to His loving home and freed her from all pain.
