FRANKO -- William (Bill), passed away suddenly on October 13, 2002, at the age of 77. Bill will be missed by a large, loving family and many friends across Western Canada. He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Theresa (nee Mahlberg); his five sons, Richard (Karen), Wayne (Selma), Lyle (Lynn), Doug (Joanne) and Kelly (Akiko); his grandchildren, Chris (Nicola), Andy, Sarah, Caitlin, Janessa, Roxanne, Jade and great-grandson, Averie; his sisters, Sophie Soubolsky and Ann Chyz (Mel); his brothers, Steve (Lillian) and Eugene (Shirley); Uncle Bill (Laura); Aunt Mary and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by parents, Nick and Mary, and his brother, Joe (Peggy). Bill was born on April 6, 1925 in Theodore, Saskatchewan and was raised on the family farm near Watson, which he eventually took over. In 1961, Bill and Theresa moved to Wadena, where he worked for the Department of Agriculture. After a transfer to Regina in 1971, Bill continued to work for the Department of Agriculture until his retirement in 1984. Bill and Theresa made their first retirement home at Fishing Lake in 1985, then relocated to White Rock, BC, in 1999. Throughout the years, Bill maintained an interest in the family farm - his love of the land was lifelong. HOJI -- On Sunday, October 13, 2002, Mahmad Hoji, age 54 years, late of Regina. Mahmad is survived by his wife, Nisa and her daughter Leyla. Islamic Funeral Prayers will be said on Thursday, October 17 at 12:30 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. LANG -- ALEXANDER (ALEX), passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, October 16, 2002 at the age of 80 years. Born in Gakovo, Yugoslavia on August 19, 1922. He was predeceased by his parents Martin and Carolina Lang. Alex is survived by Elisabeth, his loving wife of 56 years; son, Robert (Peggy) Lang; daughter Brigitte (Doug) Ferris. He will be remembered by his grandchildren Cindy (Chad), Andrea (Dave) and Rob. DUPPERON -- Angela Dupperon, aged 30 years of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, passed away on Thursday, January 30th, 2003. The Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 4th, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. in the Bethune Community Hall. Rev. Doug Shepherd will officiate. Public visitation will take place at Parkview Funeral Chapel 474 Hochelaga St. West, Moose Jaw, on Monday, February 3rd, 2003 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Angela is predeceased by her father, Albert; Grandparents: Rudy and Emma Sigmeth, and Casey and Etta Dupperon. She is survived by her son, William; mother, Vi; sisters: Shallin (Shizad) Jamil and Kristy Champion and her daughter Nevada; aunts and uncles: Lloyd Sigmeth, Dale and Shirley Hickey, Ray and Esther Dupperon, Dale and Louise Heard, Rick and Rebecca Dupperon, and their families. FLAMAN -- (nee Huck), Rose: On Sunday, February 2, 2003, at the age of 95 years, our mother, Nanny and best friend passed away peacefully at Sunset Extendicare, where Rose resided for the last two years. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard in 1977 and son, Harvey in 2000. FRASER -- A. PEARLE (nee La Forge) was born September 6, 1920 near Ogema and passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 2, 2003 in Regina. She is predeceased by her husband Donald, good friend George Dench and grandson Doug O'Donnell. Pearl is survived by her stepchildren: Janet Bowman; Violet Fraser and James Fraser, as well as step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren all in Ontario. She will be treasured by her friends who became her family Art O'Donnell and Phyllis Usher and their families of Regina. Pearle was very fond of animals, especially her dogs Sydney and Munchkin. She loved to garden, enjoyed the outdoors, knitting, crocheting, and baking. A special thank you is extended to the excellent care provided by the staff at William Booth Special Care Home. A service to remember and celebrate her life will be held at William Booth Special Care Home, 50 Angus Road, Regina on Thursday, February 6, 2003 at 1:30 p.m. Cpt. Barbara Brown, officiating. HERMAN -- Cora Caroline (nee Mohr) of Regina, formerly of Earl Grey, SK, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2003 at the age of 81 years. Cora was born on January 27, 1922. Predeceased by her husband Frank on January 4, 2003; her parents, John and Karolina Mohr; brothers: Karl, Ernest, Adam, George, Herman and Walter. She is survived by her children Doris (Alfred) Sulma of Lumsden, Donna (Brian) Singer of Regina. Garry (Susan) Herman of Saskatoon, Lyle (Karen) Herman of Earl Grey; eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her brothers: John, Jake (Clara) Albert (Eleanor) Arnold (Eleanor). Cora was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all who knew her. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2003 at 1:30 p.m. in St. Timothy Lutheran Church, 3440 Avonhurst Drive Regina with Pastor Bryan Chappell officiating. Lunch will follow the service. Interment at Earl Gray Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made to the Pasqua Hospital, Palliative Care Unit, 4101 Dewdney Ave., Regina S4T 1A5.
