A Wake will be held on Sunday, February 3, 2002 at 4:00 PM in the Kawacatoose First Nation Gymnasium, SK. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 4, 2002 at 1:00 PM in the Kawacatoose First Nation Gymnasium, with Band Elder Mike Pinay, officiating. Burial will follow at the North Cemetery

SPROULL -- Wilfred passed away at the age of 82 on Jan. 31/02 in St. Elizabeth Hospital in Humboldt. He passed away peacefully with his wife Norma & daughter Lorna (Fred) by his side. All from Naicam. Wilf is survived by his wife of 50 years, Norma; daughter Lorna (Fred) Draudie; two grandchildren Mitchel (Dana) Draudie and Michelle (Chad) Daubenfel; great grandchild Paige; 2 brothers Bob & Harry; two sisters Grace & Jerry; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral Service will be held in Niacam at 2PM at Lutheran Church.

TEMPEL -- Herbert Frederick, late of Grayson, passed away January 26, 2002 of complications following surgery. He was predeceased by his wife Ruth, father and mother, Philip and Katherine (Stein) Tempel, his brothers George and Frank, and his sister Maude. His daughter Margaret of Grayson, SK, his son Philip of Regina, sister-in-law Alma Tempel of Regina, and in-laws George and Peggy Meanor of Clairton, Pa., USA, are left to mourn his passing. His memorial service was held at Christ Lutheran Church in Neudorf on January 29th followed by interment at the family plot in Regina Memorial Gardens. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Hospice St. Marie Bernard, Box 99, Grayson, S0A 1E0.

TERLESKY -- Nettie Terlesky passed away peacefully with her family by her side, Thursday, January 31, 2002, at the age of 69 years, after a courageous three year battle with cancer. Nettie is predeceased by her parents John and Mary Kowalow of Hubbard, Sask., and her daughter Louella. Nettie is survived by her husband of forty-six years, Walter; her grandson Jeremy Hill; her two sisters, JeanKowalow and Marcella (Tony) Balezantis of Saskatoon; as well as numerous nieces,nephews and friends. Nettie was a kind and generous person. She loved life. Her family and friends were always very important to her. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and looking after her many house plants. Everyone felt welcome in her home. Prayers will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, Sunday, February 3, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Descent of the Holy Ghost Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral, 1305 - 12th Avenue, Regina, Monday, February 4, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Fr. Brent Kuzyk presiding. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park, 815 Assiniboine Drive East, Regina. On behalf of the family we would like to give special thanks to Doctors Jachak and Yaqoob, and the wonderful nurses and staff at Units 3D and Palliative Care at Pasqua Hospital. THIEL -- Raymond John of Red Deer, Alberta, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2002, at 64 years of age after a courageous battle with cancer. Ray was born on October 20, 1937 at Tribune, Saskatchewan to Fred and Cecilia Thiel. After 37 years of marriage, he leaves to mourn his loving wife Norma, son Darren (Teresa) of Fort St. John, daughter Raylene (Francis) Yuzyk of Sherwood Park and four grandchildren Stephen, Zachary, Michael and Kathryn Yuzyk. He is also survived by three brothers, Jim (Viv) Thiel, Don (Mary) Thiel, Allen (Monica) Thiel and two sisters Jean (John) Nikolejsin and Doreen Thiel, mother-in-law Edna Needham, brothers-in-law Ron (DeAnne) Needham, Ray Needham, Doug (Bev) Needham and sister-in-law Barbara (Otto) Neuman and by many nieces and nephews. Ray was predeceased by his parents and by brother-in-law and sister-in-law Bob and Karen Needham. Prayers were said on Friday, January 25 at Red Deer Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, January 26 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church by the Reverend Father Don Stein. RUNNELLS -- Floyd Nelson Runnells of Regina passed away peacefully at the age of 86 years on September 23, 2002, leaving behind his sons Clayton, Ronald and Roger, and his daughter Jan. Floyd was born May 1, 1916 in Yorba Linda, California. Many surviving nephews and nieces, as well as his brother, Phillip, living in California, also mourn his passing. Floyd lived a full and vibrant life, recently retiring at age 80. He remained active and independent until this past May when he was hospitalized at the General. The family would like to thank all of the staff in Ward 6F at the General Hospital for the care they provided to Floyd. A special thanks is extended to Dr. Clein, Debra Wiszniak and all of the staff in the Palliative Care Unit at the Pasqua Hospital who provided much needed support and kindness during Floyd's last days. A memorial service in celebration of his life will be held at Regina Floral Conservatory, 1450-B 4th Avenue, on Sunday, October 6, 2002 at 11:00 AM.
