She was a wonderful mother, wife, and friend whom you could always count on for anything. She loved to cook and was famous for her homemade cabbage rolls and perogies. She was also very committed to her job at the Sherwood Village Co-op Bakery and worked there for over 15 years. She always had a smile for her customers and a cookie for the little ones. She was also a devoted Tom Jones and Elvis Presley fan but since she was never one for remembering the words, she insisted on making up her own, whether they made sense or not. It saddens us that this angel has left us so suddenly. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Those who had the privilege of being touched by this angel, knows the gift of happiness she gave them. She had a wonderful soul and heart, so to lose this angel is a shock to all who knew her. Late Monday night, Bernie suffered a severe heart attack and left this world with family and friends by her side to be with God and the other angels. So when you look up at the sky tonight and notice that it shines a little brighter than usual, that's just mom brightening up heaven. At the family's request, in lieu of flowers, they would appreciate if donations could be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Diabetic Association of Canada. Prayers will be held at Victoria East Funeral Home on Thursday April 3, 2003 at 7:30 pm. Funeral will be held at Victoria East Funeral Home on Friday April 4, 2003 at 1 pm.
