CZEMERES - Stanley Czemeres of Dysart, Sk., passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 15, 2006 at the age of 83 years. He is predeceased by his parents August and Josephine, brothers, Edward, August, John and two in infancy, and sister Olga Spanier. He is survived by his wife Mary of 58 years. His children Dwayne, Dale (Linda), Donna (Claude) Wickenheiser. His pride and joy, his grandchildren
, Ryan (Nikki), Mike (Trisha), Shannon Czemeres, Riley and Kayla Wickenheiser. His two great-grandchildren, Tara and Mitchell, his little ones. He is also survived by a sister Rita (Orville) Keil and brother Ben (Josie) Czemeres, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Dad's life was his farm, which he loved very much. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his friends. Dad was a caring and loving person, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. We the family would like to thank all the staff at Echo Lodge Nursing Home for the great care they gave our Dad, special thanks to family and friends that came to visit Dad. The Memorial Service will be held on Monday, June 19, 2006 at 10:30 A.M. in St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, Dysart, Sask. Interment to follow in the Kronsberg Church Cemetery. DIONISSIOU, PERICLES (PETER) - passed away peacefully in Regina, June 14, 2006 at the age of 80 years. Peter is survived by his wife, Angeliki (Angie), his beloved wife of 55 years. Peter was predeceased by his parents George and Magdelini; and his brother George. Although Peter and Angie had no children of their own, they cherish over twenty nephews and nieces that love Angie and Peter as their parents, and through them they have found great joy and reward. Born on October 20, 1925 in Kaltezes, Greece where he met and married his wife Angie before immigrating to Canada in 1955, Peter began his restaurant career spanning over 40 years, a career marked not only by his genuine love of great food, but also his desire to share it with everyone. Peter and Angie established and operated with partners, Julianna Pizza and the Mediterranean Dining Room in Regina, where they had the opportunity to convert many customers into good friends. Peter was a proud member of the Regina Greek Community throughout the years, and he maintained a strong presence well into his active retirement. Peter was a hunter and a passionate outdoorsman. If he wasn't off hunting deer or fowl, most likely you would find him on an early morning walk, or in his yard grafting apple trees or tending to his successful vegetable garden. He also enjoyed shopping local grocery stores, and often the farmers' markets for the freshest produce. Not to be missed was a visit with friends for coffee, good company, and to lend his opinion to the discussion of the day. Suppertime would usually find Peter with Angie, at Demetra Pappas' house, sharing a meal with family. Peter was a generous man and countless times has helped family, friends, and has made significant contributions to charitable causes. Pericles is dearly loved and will be greatly missed by us all. Prayers will be held Sunday, June 18, 2006 at 8:00 p.m. in Saint Paul's Greek Orthodox Church, 3000 Argyle Road. Funeral Service will be held Monday, June 19 at 3:00 p.m. in Saint Paul's Greek Orthodox Church, with Rev. Fr. Spyridon Vandoros officiating. Interment in Regina Cemetery. DOLAN, KATHLEEN

DOLAN, KATHLEEN MAY DOLAN - It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Kathleen on the evening of June 8th, 2006 at Kennedy Manor in Regina. She passed away at the age of 84 years, in the arms of her loving daughter, Maureen, and with her devoted caregiver, Marlene Kish, at her side. Kathleen was born and raised in Ponteix, Saskatchewan. As a young woman, Kathleen moved to Toronto with her mother and sisters. She and her mother went to work at York Arsenal and her younger sisters attended school. Eventually Kathleen moved on to work at de Havilland Aircraft and became known as `Katie the Riveter' where she worked on parts for planes for the war effort. At the end of the war in 1945 she moved to Winnipeg and took a hairdressing course at Marvel Hair School, graduating with top marks. When her beau, Emmet, returned from overseas, they got engaged and were married shortly after on June 14th, 1946 at Knox United Church in Winnipeg. The young couple then moved to Regina to begin a new life together. In February, 1947, they became the proud parents of a baby girl by the name of Maureen. Kathleen was a stay-at-home mom for many years but in the early sixties she returned to work, this time at Rosemont Queen City Cleaners, as an office clerk. At first she was very nervous, but soon grew to love the job and her customers as they did her. She worked there for over 25 years and during that time she made many friends and watched a number of the children in the neighbourhood grow up. Kathleen was always a good listener and many of her customers were very comfortable leaning on the counter sharing with her some of the most intimate details of their lives, some sad, some joyful. First and foremost Kathleen deeply loved her family and friends. Pleasures in her life included growing plants, shopping (oh my, and what a shopper she was), old time music and dancing. Last but not least, she loved to talk on the phone and became known to her friends and family as `Chatty Kathy'. Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband, Emmet, and her parents, Gladys and Fred Parsons. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her daughter Maureen Dolan, two sisters, Charmaine Rainey of Virden, MB, Verna Evans of Regina, niece Kathryn (Gary) Massina of Brandon, MB and their two sons Sean and Ryan Massina, nephew Ron Lelond of Campbell River, BC and very close family friends, Dianne Turner and Devona Ager. Also her beloved friends of forty-five years, Don and Lillian Ross of Regina and her goddaughter, Judy Wallace, of Regina. Kathleen is also survived by her four sisters-in-law, Rita Dolan, Margaret McDonald, RoseMary Miller, Teresa Pope and two brothers-in-law Frank and Jack Dolan. It is with heartfelt gratitude that I thank the following special people who cared for my mother during the last few years. Dr. Carol Geddes for bringing my mom through a number of serious illnesses. She thought the world of you. Dr. Barry Lotz for the kind and compassionate care you gave my mother during the last year and a half. Marlene Kish and all the wonderful staff at Kennedy Manor. Thank you so much for giving my Mother a wonderful home and gentle loving care for the last years of her life. I will be eternally grateful to you, Marlene, for being there with my Mother and me during her final hours. You were `Missy' Kathleen's guardian angel. There will be no funeral service at Kathleen's request. A private interment will take place at a later date. FRANCIS, COLIN GUY - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Colin Guy Francis on June 5, 2006. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Loreen, five step-children Donna (Ray) Watson, Saskatoon, Denise (Doug) Normand, Regina, Darlene Douglas, Delta, Don (Trudy) Francis, Saskatoon, Dave (Marcia) Francis, Moncton, eight grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his only brother, Eric, one niece, Megan, one nephew, Nigel, he leaves behind his sister-in-law Jean, England, his nieces Nicola and Claire, England, and nephews Glenn, California, Timothy, Germany, Jonathan and Kerryn, England. He also leaves behind other in-laws, Edna & Adam Deck, Regina, John Weber & Bev Janis, Kendal, Glenora Griffiths, Victoria, and their families, as well as many friends. Colin was born on November 5, 1932 in Worcester, England, where he grew up. He attended Hanley Castle Grammar School in his early years, and considered that segment as the best years of his life. He apprenticed in the Machinist Trade at Wards in Worcester, then joined the R.A.F. and served in the Middle East. He immigrated to Canada in 1959 settling in the Regina area where he worked at various trades and careers. He took up residence in Alberta, B.C., and Yukon at various times, and finally settled in Parksville, B.C. His friendly manner and his gift of the gab will be sorrowfully missed by his many friends and colleagues. By request following his cremation, there will be no service. ROGOSCHEWSKY - JOHN ROGOSCHEWSKY passed away peacefully Thursday, November 2, 2006. Born at Chamberlain in 1926, the son of Christian and Bertha Rogoschewsky. John spent many years farming and loved his cattle. He received his education at Prairie Island School. John was an active member of his community, he belonged to the Knights of Columbus, served on the Church Board, and was a Councilor of the RM of Dufferin. John also served on the Board of the Chamberlain Credit Union. For the past four years John has made his home in Moose Jaw. He was predeceased by his brothers, Leo and Joseph, his brothers-in-law, Geo Mengel, Hector Paquette, Tony Benko and Philip Metz. He leaves to mourn his passing his sisters: Kay Benko Regina, Victoria Paquette Windsor, Ontario, Loretta Mengel Holdfast, Mary Rogoschewsky Regina and Anne Metz Dilke and his brother, George (Margaret) Rogoschewsky Moose Jaw, also sisters-in-law: Mary Rogoschewsky Regina, Helen Rogoschewsky and his many nieces and nephews, and special friend, Pat Stoppler. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 6, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Anne Roman Catholic Church, Chamberlain. Father Barry Anwender will preside. Interment will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will take place prior to the service starting at 9:30 a.m. at the Church. WILCOTT - Jeannette Marie-Claire (Boutin) Wilcott was born on July 28, 1931. She was raised on a farm near Cantal, Saskatchewan. At the age of eight she lost her mother and learned early on domestic responsibilities including the fine art and skills of cooking and sewing, and these she would master and practice her whole life. During her school years she attended St. Louis School as well as various boarding schools: Wauchope Convent Boarding School, St. Joseph's Academy, St. Boniface, Manitoba, Bellegarde Convent and St. Joseph's Academy, Forget. On a nice autumn day on October 5, 1949 she married Herve Wilcott. They had seven children: Gaston, Dorraine, Richard, Robert, Leroy, Estelle and Julie. Jeannette passed away on November 1, 2006 at the age of 75 at Carnduff Sunset Haven. She is predeceased by her parents, Alcide and Flore-Emma, her uncle Allyre, daughter Julie, infant grandson Francis and husband Harvey. She is survived by her loving husband, Alexandre Boulet of Alida; children, Gaston (Ruth) Wilcott of Oxbow, Dorraine (Ray) WilcottNault of Edmonton, Richard (Diane) Wilcott of Oxbow, Robert (Monica) Wilcott of Sturgis, Leroy (Delores) Wilcott of Kamsack and Estelle d'Almeida of Regina; 13 grandchildren; three brothers, Lionel (Maria-Anna) Boutin of Alida, Robert (Solange) Boutin of Manor and Wilfred (Alyce) Boutin of Winnipeg; six sisters, Armande Beswatherick of Calgary, Gisele (Greg) Molloy of Winnipeg, Isabelle (Ken) Thorvardson of Lundar, Helene (Rene) Sparks of Langley, Eveline (Roger) Shaw of Ottawa and Irene (Laurier) Boutin of Edmonton, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. BROWN - Corrine Hillary Maxine, with her family by her side, Corrine was called Home on October 31, 2006 at the age of 48, after a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by her father Thomas Johnston, grandparents Oscar and Jessie Dixon, Sam and Hilma Johnston, father-in-law Milton Brown and brother-in-law Lester Fehr. Corrine will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband James, children Gayla (Monte) Schmidt, Kevin, Josh (Sheri) and one extra special little girl, her granddaughter Faith Schmidt who she loved dearly. Her mother Shirley, brothers, Rick (Sandra), Dave, sisters, Patti Fehr, Heidi Johnston, Tammie Gader, mother-in-law Anna Brown and brothers-in-law, Wayne (Sandra), Bruce (Gwen), Brian, Dale (Mila), Bill and sister-in-law Diane Brown and many nieces, nephews and friends. She will be also missed by her very special friends Marla (Murray) Minchuk and Pat (Duane) Luterbach. Corrine was born, June 7, 1958 in Maryfield where she grew up and took all her schooling. Corrine and her family moved to various places before settling in Coppersands, SK. In 1998 she became partial owner, along with Marla and their husbands of the Tavern and Restaurant in Balgonie. What she enjoyed most out of life was spending time with her family just playing cards and joking around. Corrine's personality was outstanding and she had a beautiful contagious smile that brightened a room. She was also very patient, honest and courageous. She loved everyone unconditionally and Corrine will be loved, remembered and held in our hearts forever. EVANS - WALTER LEONARD EVANS of Victoria passed away in his home surrounded by the love of his family on Monday, October 30, 2006 after a long, valiant fight with prostate cancer. Born in Saskatoon, Sk. on January 28, 1924. Predeceased by his mother Laura Evans, father Leonard Evans & brother Gerry Evans. Leaves to mourn his loving, devoted wife and soulmate of 61 years Vivian (Usher), daughters Gail Nash (David) of Sooke, B.C. Robin Evans of Victoria, granddaughter Christina Nash of Sooke, B.C. & grandson Robert Nash (Sandra) of Regina, Sk., great grandsons Matthew & Shawn of Regina. Served in the RCNVR from 1943-1945 with the British Fleet Mail in New York City. Walt & Vivian were married there May 5, 1945 just before VE Day. After discharge, he worked for Commercial Printers in Regina and gave many years of service to the Regina Gyro Club, becoming the youngest President of the Club. He enjoyed being with his family at the cottage at Katepwa Beach and taking summer camping trips. Walt & Vivian moved to Victoria in 1979 where he became very involved with the Oak Bay Kiwanis Club. For more than 17 years, he volunteered at the Kiwanis Tea Room at Willows Beach where he enjoyed meeting people & watching children play on the beach. Other activities he enjoyed were Operation Trackshoes & helping entertain residents of Kiwanis Rose Manor. As a member of the Pro Pat/Trafalgar Legion, he sold poppies for many years at the Eaton Centre as well as manning the Salvation Army Christmas kettles. Walt always remained a loyal Sask. Roughrider fan and was also a longtime supporter of the Naden Band, CFB Esquimalt. Being such a romantic, he arranged 55th and 60th Anniversary celebration trips, taking Vivian back to New York and the church where they were married. Walt & Vivian shared many holidays in Hawaii as well as cruises and touring in Europe and Asia. His love of family guided his life and ours. His love, generosity, energy and attention to detail instilled in us many values and standards that have helped to shape all of the lives he has touched. His sheltering embrace was always there for us and will remain alive in our hearts forever. He will be missed by longtime friends & relatives in B.C., Sask. & overseas. The family gratefully thanks Dr. David Meir, our friend as well as Doctor who makes house calls. We also thank the Palliative Response Team, Home Care Nursing, B.C. Cancer Agency, Oak Bay Kiwanis Club, James Bay United Church & all the other people who have helped our family through this past year. Memorial service to be held at James Bay United Church, Michigan & Menzies on Monday, Nov. 6th at 11:00 a.m., followed by a reception in the Church basement. HUMPHRIES - WILLIAM EDWIN PICKERING (BILL) peacefully passed away into the arms of the Lord at Grace Hospice on November 1, 2006. Bill fought a lengthy battle with cancer with dignity and courage. Bill was cherished by his family and friends alike. Predeceased by his parents, Ioleen and Wilfred and his two brothers, Donald and Alex; Bill is survived by his loving wife and soul mate, Myrna Young; his sisters, Sheila and Pat (Jim); sisters-in-law, Shelley and Carol and their families; his children, Shaun (Tanya), Nancy and Chris (Michelle); step children, Scott, Todd (Sandy), Dawn (Troy) and Troy (Jillian); and his grandchildren: Hannah, Avery, Joshua, Paul, Maya, Seth, Miranda, Keaton, Aubrie, Georgina, Cole, Seb and Violet. Bill was a gentle and kind man that touched the lives of many people with his strength of character and love for life. His deep faith was an inspiration to us all. His children and grandchildren were his heart's delight and he could be found with a baby on his chest or rollerblading with the kids. Bill loved to exercise and could be seen often cycling or walking on the bike path with his dog Measa. He was a long time employee of Sask. Tel. and worked his way up from line man to national sales manager. After retiring from Sask. Tel. he worked for several years in the real estate industry. Bill spent his retirement golf, traveling together with Myrna in their RV, wintering in Fort Myers and playing with his grandchildren. Special thanks to the staff Our Angels at Grace Hospice for their loving and compassionate care for our whole family. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2006 at 12:00 P.M. in Christ the King R.C. Church, 3239 Garnet St., Regina, SK. with Rev. T. Dizy, Celebrant. Following the service there will be a reception in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Marion Center or Grace Hospice.
