LLOYD VOGELI 1916 _ 2004 Lloyd Joseph Vogeli passed away peacefully on Monday, May 31, 2004 at the Rockyview Hospital, in Calgary, Alberta from heart failure. He lived a healthy, happy and fulfilled life that centered around family. He was a very loving father and husband who unfailingly supported and encouraged his family. Dee, as he was affectionately known by his family, was happy to go on to heaven to join his wife, Mildred, who passed away in 1994. He was sad to leave his children and grandchildren behind but was comforted to know that part of him will live on through them. Dee's children and their families will miss him more than words can express: Greg, his wife Wendy and their children Zach and Zoe, Bonnie, her husband Ron and their son Kent, Grant, his wife Rita and their daughters Amanda, Ashley and Georgia. Lloyd was born and raised in southern Saskatchewan. He had a brother, Belton, and sister, Olivine, who both died before him. He fought in World War II with the Royal Canadian Navy. In 1946 Lloyd and Mildred were married. After fifteen years living in rural Saskatchewan, they moved to Regina where they raised their three children. After Mildred died, Lloyd moved to Calgary where he enjoyed the last years of his life with his children and grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at Southwood United Church in Calgary, Alberta on Thursday June 3, 2004.
