KUFFLICK: In loving memory of Eunice Marie Kufflick, who passed away peacefully with her family at her side on March 10, 2009 in Brandon, Manitoba. Eunice will be greatly missed by her loving husband Michael, her two boys Dustin (Katie) and Jeromie (Lindsay), her grandchildren Madison, Berkeley, and Sullivan, and a multitude of other family and friends. Eunice is reunited now with her mother Mabel, her father Erick, and her brother Harry who went before her. She is also survived by her brother Chuck; sister Marcella and sister in law Simone. Eunice was born on September 19, 1950 in Melita, Manitoba. She grew up in and around Melita, before attending Red River Community College in Winnipeg Manitoba to become a teacher. This is where she met Michael and they were married in Melita on August 22, 1969. After teaching at Minnedosa Collegiate for two years, Eunice spent the rest of her career teaching at Assiniboine Community College in Brandon. She retired in 2002 after a long and cherished career. Eunice was a very active person who always lived life to the fullest. She participated in sports and was active in many organizations, groups, and committees. She loved modeling in fashion shows, she raced dragon boats, and she treasured her time with the lunchroom ladies. She especially loved her summers at the lake where she could be seen driving in her corvette, golf at the Clear Lake course or entertaining at the cabin. She loved the many visitors, happy hours and parties where she was in her glory; whether having a cup of tea, a glass of wine or singing a tune. Her greatest sorrow in leaving this life though was the time she would no longer share with her grandchildren. Besides her husband, they were her greatest love. Eunice was an incredibly strong person who never let anything get in her way. For several years she battled cancer but she never let it control her life. She spent her last summer golf almost every day. She and Mike spent another fall in Penticton and she had a wonderful Christmas in Calgary with her whole family. In the last weeks of her life she was able to come home to Brandon and visit with so many of her great friends. Eunice and her family are so grateful for all of the love and support that we have received from so many people, including family, friends, and the many healthcare professionals who were always so wonderful. Thank you. Mass of Christian Burial was held to celebrate Eunice’s life at St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church, 327 – 4th Street, Brandon on Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. with Father Vincent of Erickson Parish as Celebrant.
