She is predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Richard and Theresa Finn and Maternal grandparents, William and Effie Budgell. William (Bill) James Foley
June 30, 1941 - August 4, 2010
Foley- William (Bill) passed peacefully away at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre after a courageous battle with cancer on August 4, 2010 at the age of 69 years. Predeceased by his parents Jeremiah and Martha Foley. Bill will be dearly missed by his loving wife and best friend, Sylvia; children, Kelly (Tony) Jim (Michelle), Robert (Kelly); grandchildren, Jillian, Rebecca, Allison, Kendra, Nathan, Meaghan and Shaun; brother Gerard (Nellie); sisters, Catherine (Ches), Barbara (Willard), Jean (Pierre); as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will take place August 6, 2010 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. The funeral service will take place at The Cathedral of The Immaculate Conception, August 7, 2010 at 11 am with Father William Houlahan officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation. Passed peacefully away at his home in Grand Falls-Windsor on January 31, 2010, Dr. Lionel David Kelland aged 58 years. Predeceased by his parents, Nelson and Viola and his sister Gwen. Leaving to mourn his wife and best friend Linda; daughters Kathryn (Ed Howell) and Jill (Mark Kelly); precious granddaughters Avery, Camryn and Lesley; brother Charles and sisters Sharon, Rosalie and Judy and their families; sister-in-law Marilyn Sheppard and brothers-in-law Oscar Howell and Ted Howell and their families; and a large circle of extended family, friends, colleagues and patients. Resting at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 10 Bayley Street, Grand Falls-Windsor. Cremation has taken place at his request. Visitation on Tuesday, February 2nd from 2:00-5:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. A memorial funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 3rd at 2:00 p.m. from Memorial United Church, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL with Reverend Royden Reynolds officiating. . In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the South and Central Health Foundation for Grand Falls-Windsor. She is predeceased by her husband Ralph; parents, Kenneth and Sylvia Sheppard; brother John Hoddinott; granddaughter Rowena. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are children, Shirley (Willie) Sheppard of Pt. Leamington, NL, Evelyn (Jim) Paul of Wabush, NL, Scott (Ruth) Kinden of Guelph, ON, Bonnie (David) Woodworth of Labrador City, NL, and Carol (Bob) of Conception Bay South, NL; 11 grandchildren, Rhonda, Roma, Trudy, Terence, Chris, Craig, Carolyn, Valerie, Mark, Matthew, and Stephanie and 20 great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Sheppard, Dorothy Fifield, Rose Kinden, Piney Small, and Ruby Sheppard; several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The funeral service took place, Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at 2 pm from The Pentecostal Assembly, Pt. Leamington, NL with Pastor Jeffery Green officiating. Visitation took place Monday, February 22, 2010 at 7-9 pm, Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at 2-4 and 7-9 pm from The Pentecostal Assembly, Pt. Leamington, NL. Priscilla Lane
August 15, 1916 - June 13, 2010
Passed away peacefully in her 94th year at Dr. Twomey Centre, Botwood, NL, Priscilla Mary Lane (March). Predeceased by Husband, Joseph; daughter, Marilyn; and son Kenneth. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories is: son, Rankin; daughters, Carol and Linda; nine grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. She was a life member with the Royal Purple who she served as Honored Royal Lady. She will also be remembered as Grand Fall’s first “Avon Lady”. She will be sadly missed by family and friends. There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. The funeral service will take place at The Immaculate Conception on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at 2:00 pm. Our gratitude to the staff at the Dr. Hugh Twomey Centre for their dedicated care and support. We love you Mom, may you rest in peace.
