She is predeceased by her husband, Hubert Day; parents, Herbert & Bessie Bishop; brothers, Jack, Roy, and Harry; sister, Iris. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are: husband, Donald Elson; son, Dennis (Veda) of Stephenville, NL; 3 grandchildren, Christopher, Sarah (Eric Flynn), and Melissa; brother, Raymond Bishop of Campbellton, NL; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. The funeral service will take place Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at 2 pm from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 10 Bayley Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL. Private visitation for family and invited friends will take place Monday, June 8, 2009 at 7-9 pm. It is with sadness that the families of the late Shirley Cross announce her passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Center, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL , aged 82 years. She is predeceased by: husband, Bill; sisters, Margaret and Gwen; brothers, Raymond and Robert; and parents, Raymond and Florence Rowe. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are: daughter, Gloria (Diane) of Quebec; sons Gordon of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, and Dennis (Shannon) of St. John’s, NL; grandson, Rodger (Michelle); 2 great grandchildren, Kayden and Summer; brothers, Billy, Tolson (Mary), and Melvyn (Hilda); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The funeral service will take place Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 2 pm from the Holy Trinity Anglican Church with Rev. Randy Lockyer officiating. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Union Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL. Visitation will take place Friday November, 20, 2009 at 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 10 Bayley Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL. It is with great sadness that the families of Herbert Champion announce his passing after a brief illness at The Heath Sciences Centre, St. John’s, NL, aged 75 years. Predeceased by parents, Eli & Mary Champion; brothers, William (Grace) & Fred (Sarah) & Harvey; sister, Effie (Patrick) Walsh. Left to mourn with fond loving memories are wife, Evelyn; sons, Derek (Line), Darren (Elizabeth), Steve (Susan Hiscock) & Richard (Dawn English); daughters, Carolyn (Pearce) West & Allison (Gerald) Baker; 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sisters, Mabel (Hedley-deceased) Thompson & Mildred (Garfield) Langdon; as well as a large number of relatives and friends.
