It is with great sadness that the family of Dorothy Boyle announce her passing on Sunday, March 9, 2008 at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Care Center. She was 88 years of age. Predeceased by her husband Albert; parents: John and Johanna McHugh; brothers: Dermot, Tom, Jack, Firmin and sister Bride. Left to mourn with the most loving memories her 2 sons: Albert (Alice) of Grand Falls – Windsor and John (Margaret) of Ottawa; daughter Brenda (Brian) Tobin of Grand Falls – Windsor; 3 grandchildren: Shawn, Christopher and Courtney. Also leaving to mourn sister Sr. Mary McHugh of New Brunswick; brothers: Edward (Aggie) of New Brunswick and Eric (Betty) of Grand Falls – Windsor and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation will take place at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception with Father David Joy officiating, Interment at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Union Street. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Arthritis Society. Dot started everyday always thoughtful, always positive, always thankful, always humble, always smiling. She will be forever loved and forever in our hearts. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Pallbearers are: Wilmore Eddy, Wally Edwards, Brian Gill, Paul Murphy, Geoff Kelly and Jed Sullivan.

Passed away on Friday, October 12, 2007 at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Care Center, Harry Head at the age of 83 years. Predeceased by his parents: George and Mary Head. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Rosella; children: Terry (Jean) Head, Patricia (David) Patrick, Lorraine Snow, David Head; grandchildren Stephanie (Robert) Despres, Christina Patrick, Andrea Head, Mark Patrick and Meghan Snow; great grandchildren: Evan and Chloe Despres. Also leaving to mourn brother Lloyd (Flora) Head, sister Eileen (George) Piercey and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will take place from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday, October 13, 2007 from 7-9 p.m. and on Sunday, October 14, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, October 15, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. from the Holy Trinity Anglican Church with Rev. Randy Lockyer officiating. Interment at the Anglican Cemetery, Union Street. Donations in his memory may be made to the Holy Trinity Anglican Church Memorial Fund.. It is with great sadness that the family of Rhonda Green announce her passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Hospital in Grand Falls Windsor on July 11, 2008 age 34. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Terry; son Adam; daughter Katie; parents, Bob and Jean Young of Corner Brook, brother Kenneth (Terri-Lynn) Young of Dartmouth, NS; maternal grandmother, Rose Drover of Corner Brook; special aunt Vivian and uncle Harvey Holloway of Corner Brook, parents in-law Winston and Ruby Green of Grand Falls Windsor, brothers in-law Todd (Tracy), Trevor (Angela) of Grand Falls Windsor and as well as a large number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will take place at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Saturday July 12, 2008 from 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm. The funeral service will take place from the Salvation Army Park Street Citadel, Sunday, July 13, 2008 at 2:00 pm with Major Sandra Stokes officiating. Interment at The Salvation Army Cemetery, Caribou Road. No flowers by request, donations in Rhonda's memory may be made to The Salvation Army Park Street Citadel Nursery Fund. Passed peacefully away on January 27, 2008 at The Central Newfoundland Regional Health Care Center, Marion Forward at the age of 84 years. Mrs. Forward was a member of the Exploits 50+ Club, a Masonic Lady and a past member of the ACW. Predeceased by her husband Harold, parents: John and Sophia Lane; brothers: Stu and Joe Lane. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories her 4 daughters: Beverly Forward of Gambo, Mary (Roy) Jeans of Bishop's Falls, Susan (David) Skinner of Halifax and Judy Forward of St. John's; grandchildren: Ryan, Amy and Rebecca. Also left to mourn sister Lavinia Burden; brother Alex Troke both of Grand Falls - Windsor and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will take place from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home on Monday, January 28, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from Holy Trinity Anglican Church with Rev. Randy Lockyer officiating. Interment at the Anglican Cemetery, Union Street. Family flowers only, donations in her memory may be made to Holy Trinity Anglican Church Memorial Fund. Predeceased by his parents: Paul and Cassie Curtis of Grand Falls Windsor; brothers: Wilson & Gordon. Left to mourn with found loving memories are wife, Vernette; son, Douglas (Joanne); daughter, Minnie (Thomas) Castor; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren all living in the United States; brothers: Wallace (Ruth), Paul (Linda); sisters: Maggie Ledrew, Evelyn Miller (Ron), Ethel O’Dea, Esther Pollard (John), Gloria Curtis, Pearl Walsh and a large circle of other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 23, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. from the Salvation Army Park Street Citadel with Major Sandra Stokes officiating. Mrs. Croke was a former member of The Altar Society of Sacred Heart Parish in Bishop's Falls. She was originally from Fortune Harbour, then relocated to Bishop's Falls and then Golden Years Estates, Grand Falls - Windsor. Predeceased by her husband John Croke; parents: David and Sarah Glavine; brothers: Matthew and Michael Glavine. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughter Anne Marie (Richard) Budgell of Grand Falls - Windsor; nephews: David (Anna) Glavine, Kevin (Sue) Glavine, James Glavine, Michael (Bridget) Glavine, Thomas (Janet) Glavine, Brian Glavine and Matthew Glavine; nieces: Madonna (Bruce) Budgell, Patricia (Phillip) Harris, Joan (Phillip) Wood and many great nephews and nieces, Visitation will take place from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home on Monday, February 25, 2008 from 7-9 p.m. and on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. from The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception with Father David Joy officiating. Also leaving to mourn 9 grandchildren: Joseph, Cassandra, Megan, Tyson, Channing, Machaela, Patti, Laurie and Heather; 4 great grandchildren; brothers: Max, Wallace, Reg; sisters: Carrie and Doris, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Visitation will take place from Botwood Funeral Home on Saturday, May 17, 2008 from 7-9 p.m. and on Sunday May 18, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, May 20, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel, Peterview. Also leaving to mourn sisters: Dorothy Evans and Shirley (Otto) Roberts; special step-father Baxter and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will take place from The Salvation Army Citadel, Triton on Sunday, December 30, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service will be held on Monday, December 31, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. with Majors Larry and Phyllis Fudge officiating. Interment at the Evergreen Community Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to The Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal.
