Predeceased by her parents: Caleb and Catherine Wilkins and brothers: Jack, Donald and David. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Marvin Edison; daughter Michele (Chris Hurdle) of Grand Falls – Windsor; son Jason (Misty) of Medicine Hat, AB; 3 grandchildren: Michael, Sarah and Joshua; step mother Catherine Wilkins; brothers: Fred (Marjorie), Michael (Margaret), Clifford (Marilyn), Hubert (Lynette), Roy (Betty); sisters: Kathleen (John) Lunn, Eileen (John) Kellesis, Lillian (Gord) Collins, Nellie (Trace) Baxter, Joyce (Spencer) Dyke; half brothers: Frank (Fanny), Lindsey; half sister Colleen (Howard) and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation took place from Botwood Funeral Home on Saturday, April 7, 2007 from 7-9 p.m. and on Sunday, April 8, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service was held on Monday, April 9, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel, Botwood with Major Dinzel Baggs officiating. Interment was at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Botwood. No flowers by request, donations were made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Botwood Funeral Home.

Passed peacefully away on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Care Center, Grand Falls- Windsor, Arthur Parsons of Leading Tickles. He was 86 years of age. Arthur retired from Abitibi Price in 1986. Predeceased by his son Jerry; daughters: Betty and Mary; brothers: John and George; sister Loretta; parents: Henry and Phoebe. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Gladys; son Roger (Kathy); two grandchildren: Roger Jr. and Katrina; sister Lavina; very close family friend Violet Noseworthy; sisters-in-law Beatrice Roberts of Grand Falls - Windsor, Eliza Fowlow of Buchans, Madeline (Baxter) Rowsell, Joyce Parsons both of Leading Tickles; brothers-in-law Arthur (Lavina) Rowsell, Ronald Parsons both of Leading Tickles, Bruce Rowsell of Buchans and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation took place from St. Nicholas Anglican Church in Leading Tickles on Thursday, April 19, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service was held on Friday, April 20, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Randy Lockyer officiating. Interment was at the Anglican Cemetery, Leading Tickles. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations were made to St. Nicholas Anglican Church Building Fund or a charity of ones choice. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Botwood Funeral Home. Pallbearers were: Bax Rowsell, Darryl Loveman, Patrick Noseworthy, Clayton Forsey, Orvan Rowsell and grandson Roger Jr. Honorary pallbearer Ariel Parsons.

Passed peacefully away at The Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre on May 18, 2007, Madeline Burt. She was 48 years of age. Predeceased by her parents: Sidney and Mary Ann Keats and sister Myrtle. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Kenneth; son Sidney (Tracey); daughter Mary Ann (Raymond) Blake; grandchildren: Patrick, Robert, Phillip, Cody and Theodore. Sisters: Lillian (Wilson) Burt, Violet (George) Pope, Vera (Otto) Blake, Bessie (Hughie), Trixie (Calvin) Peckford, June (Gilbert) Blake, Florence (Jerry) Elliott, Trudy (Harvey) Blake, Fronie (Bennett) Blake, Marie (Terry) Elliott; brothers: Walter (Rose Ann), Victor (Elsie), Andrew (Pauline) and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Passed peacefully away on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Care Center, Grand Falls- Windsor, Daisy Butt of Botwood. She was 85 years of age. She is predeceased by her husband Jack E. Butt February 8, 2007, granddaughter Jackie Price Woolridge, parents John and Anne curlew and a number of brothers and sisters. Left to mourn are sons; Howard (wife Ada) of Gander, NL, Donald (wife Barbara) of Paradise, NL, daughter Helen (husband Keith Manuel) of Ajax, ON, sisters Audrey Clarke, Mount Pearl, NL and Madge (Gordon Seabright) of Mount Pearl, NL, 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. Visitation took place at Botwood Funeral Home on Thursday, May 31, 2007 from 7-9 pm and Friday, June 1, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service was held on Saturday, June 2, 2007 at 2:00 pm from Trinity United Church with Rev. Linda Burt officiating. Interment at The United Church Cemetery, Botwood. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Botwood Funeral Home. Pallbearers were David Butt, Andrew Short, Carl Butt, Randy Curlew, Ed Evans, Ted Andrews.

Passed peacefully away on Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at the Dr. Hugh Twomey Center, Botwood, Kathleen Hibbs at the age of 75. Kathleen Hibbs was born on August 8, 1931 in Burnt Arm, NL and grew up in Peterview, NL. She is predeceased by her husband Edward; sons: James, Issac, Robert, Michael, Nelson, Gordon and Derrick; sisters: Ivy Fudge, Livi Hibbs and Alice Pope; brothers: William and James Pope. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Joyce Wiseman of Grand Falls - Windsor, Fannie Hibbs (Bruce Dwyer), Joseph Hibbs (Linda Posie), Patsy (Wilson) Hibbs, Audrey Dakin (Bob Thiessen), Goldie (Brian) Blake, Roy (Geraldine) Hibbs all of Peterview; Sam (Sylvia) Hibbs of Ontario, Florence (Wayne) Fudge, Josephine (Clifton) Gillard and Michelle (Shawn) Taylor all of Peterview. She also leaves to mourn 27 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, sister Bertha Blake, brother Robert Pope and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her husband Baxter; parents: Obediah and Idella Lane; son Lewis; brothers: Herb and Gorman and a step-sister Hazel Folkes. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories sons: Joe (Lorraine) of Brockville, ON, Roosevelt (Lillian) of Point Leamington; daughters: Idella (John) Brinston of Moncton and Verna (Harvey) Thompson of Point Leamington; 12 grandchildren: Glenda, Marvin, Nada, Dean, Cordel, Rochelle, Krista, Derrick, Gale, Trevor, Lisa and Angela; 22 great-grandchildren; step-brother Otto Lane and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation took place from the Pentecostal Church, Point Leamington on Sunday, July 29, 2007 from 7-9 p.m. and on Monday, July 30, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Dale Vaters officiating, Interment was at the Pentecostal Cemetery. Flowers were gratefully accepted or donations in her memory were made to the Gideons. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Botwood Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Joe Thompson (son), Roosevelt Thompson (son), Cordel Thompson (grandson), Dean Thompson (grandson), Derrick Brinston (grandson) and Marvin Thompson (grandson).

Left to mourn with fond and loving memories his daughters: Mary Keefe (Vince Edison), Frances (Bert) Cave, Irene Pilgrim, Betty (Dennis) Snow; son Leo (Rita) Hart; grandchildren: Mary, Angela, Josephine, Hank, Dennis, Stanley, Christine, Gloria, Denise, Crystal, Tina, Lionel, Jacqueline and Pete. Also leaving to mourn many great-grandchildren, sister Ellen (Clarence) Hillier; brother Leo Hart and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. David Coffin officiating. Interment was at the Anglican Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Botwood Funeral Home.
