Katherine Ina Karol Fisher
May 22, 1945 - March 5, 2002
Kathy Fisher, 56, of Sackville, NB, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2002 at the Drew Nursing Home.
Born in Moncton, she was a daughter of the Late Karl and Marjorie (Geldart) Miller.
Dearly loved by her family, Kathy will be sadly missed by her 1 son; David (Jennie) Henry of Dorchester, 2 daughters; April and Katherine Henry both of Moncton, 1 sister; Patricia (John) Wilson, Black River Bridge, NB and 3 grandchildren. May she rest in peace.
Following Cremation, a memorial service will be held at the Drew Nursing Home, Sackville, NB on Thursday, March 7, 2002 at 2:30 PM, Rev. Father Kevin Stockall officiating. Arrangements are in care of the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB (364-1300).
Lorne Murray
The death of Lorne Murray, 81, of Port Elgin, occurred at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Friday, March 29, 2002.
A World War II veteran, Lorne served overseas with the Army Corp Unit in Continental Europe and the Mediterranean.
Lorne will be fondly remembered by his 2 brothers; James (Maxine) of Miramichi and Kenneth (Evelyn) of Williams Lake, BC, 2 sisters; Lois Murray and May Doherty, both of Toronto, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 3 brothers Hugh, Raymond. and Keith.
A graveside service at Fernwood Cemetery, Port Elgin will be held at a later date.
Joseph Kenny
The death of Joseph Kenny, age 51 of Port Elgin, occurred at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, November 20, 2002.
Born in Sackville he was a son of the late Joseph and Rita (Brine) Kenny.
Joseph worked with the CNR extra gang from 1972 to 1992 and then at Westmorland Fisheries and Cape Bald Packers until his retirement due to cancer.
He made his home for the past 3 years with his brother-in-law, Ralph and the late June Blacklock of Port Elgin.
He was a member of St. Bartholomew's Roman Catholic Church, Melrose, NB.
Joseph is survived by a brother, Gary (Chris) Kenny, Moncton, aunts and uncles, Joseph (Carol) Brine, Mary (Laurie) Brine and Alberta (Don) Hanlon, brother-in-law Ralph Blacklock, a special friend Joyce Ibbitson and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by 2 sisters, Mary in 1969 and Christine in 1976 and a great nephew Justin.
The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 3 W. Main Street, Port Elgin (364-1300) with visitation Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.
The funeral service will be held at the St. Bartholomew's Roman Catholic Church, Melrose on Friday, November 22, 2002 at 11 AM.
Burial in the parish cemetery.
All are invited to a prayer vigil at the funeral home on Thursday evening at 8:30 PM.
Donald Bulmer
The death of Donald Bulmer, age 74, of Sackville occurred at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Friday, April 4, 2003, following a brief illness
Born in Sackville, he was a son of the Late Ernest and Jessie (Amos) Bulmer.
A heavy equipment mechanic he retired in 1994 with 40 years of service.
Donald will be sadly missed by his wife the former Marguerite Gordon, Sackville, a son Michael (Laura-Lee), Truro, NS, 3 grandchildren, Jessica, Joshua and Jillian as well as a half-sister Irma Northrup, New Hampshire, USA
The remains have been forwarded for cremation. Visitation will be held at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, (364-1300) on Sunday 7 to 9 PM.
A memorial service will be held at the funeral home Monday, April 7, 2003 at 11 AM, Rev. Father Kevin Stockall officiating.
A reception will follow.
Burial will be held in the Westcock Cemetery
at a later date.
Donations to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
Jeanette Chase
The death of Jeanette Chase occurred peacefully at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Saturday, April 12, 2003 in her 101st year.
Born in Clark's Harbour, NS, she was a daughter of the late Randall and Alice (Kenny) MacKinnon.
She was a life long member of the Salvation Army and the oldest soldier of the Amherst, NS Citadel, she was the secretary for the Sackville Salvation Army Home League until 3 years ago.
Mrs. Chase leaves to mourn, 2 daughters, Catherine, Sackville and Margaret (James) Murray, Miramichi, a sister, Marjorie Smith, Shelburne, NS.
She was predeceased by her husband Percy in 1970 and 2 sisters, Bernice and Millie.
The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville (364-1300) with visitation Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.
The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 15, 2003 at 2 PM, Pastor Morris Mills and Rev. Matthew Porter officiating.
Burial in the Sackville Cemetery.
Donations to the Salem Baptist Church would be appreciated or a charity of the donor's choice.
Philip Griggs
The death of Philip Griggs, age 72, of Frosty Hollow occurred at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Thursday, April 17, 2003.
Born in Montreal, he was a son of the late Sidney and Alice (Galloway) Griggs.
A veteran, Phil served in the Korean War and was a member of the Sackville Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion.
Phil is survived by a sister, Alice Northway, Smithville, On, nieces and nephews and a large circle of friends.
The remains have bee forwarded for cremation.
A memorial and legion service will be held at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, (364-1300) Tuesday evening, April 22, 2003 at 7:30 PM, Chaplain Alan Sears officiating.
Reception to follow.
Burial will be in the Sackville Cemetery.
George Kinnear
The death of George Kinnear, age 75, of Jolicure, occurred at the Moncton City Hospital on Saturday, April 12, 2003.
Born in Tattynure, Northern Ireland, he was a son of the Late Robert and Matilda (Barbour) Kinnear.
A farmer and woodsman, he worked for several years with George and Hugh Wood.
George leaves to mourn a brother, Thomas (Eldora) Kinnear, Stellarton, 2 sisters, Catherine Jones, Amherst and Matilda (Earl) Martin, Barrie, ON, nieces and nephews and special great nieces and nephews, Kevin (Debbi), Tim (Erin), Tracey and Kelly.
He was predeceased by brothers, Robert and Joseph and sisters, Sadie Thomson, Mary Ann McMillan, Isabel Siddall and Elizabeth Hacquoil.
The remains have been forwarded for cremation.
A graveside service will be held at the Point de Bute Cemetery
on Wednesday, April 16, 2003 at 11 AM, Rev. Terrence Trites officiating.

Shirley Patterson
The death of Shirley Patterson, age 35, of Dorchester occurred suddenly as the result of an automobile accident on Tuesday, April 8, 2003.
Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of Violet (Stright) Cluney and the late Fred OHearn Shirley worked over the years with The Big Stop, Patterson Family Restaurant and Zach's Family Restaurant.
She loved to travel and spend time at home with her children.
Shirley leaves to mourn, a son, Justin Patterson and a daughter, Sara Allen, both at home, her mother, Violet Cluney, Head of Chezzetcook, NS, her maternal grandmother, Mildred (Tower) Stright, 2 sisters, Pam (Scott) Hipson, Dartmouth, NS and Eileen Graham, Chevarie, NS, 3 half-brothers, Fred OHearn, Thomas OHearn and Richard OHearn, 2 half-sisters, Sandra Lee and Tina OHearn and special friend, Charles Estabrooks, Sackville, she was predeceased by her father Fred OHearn and a half-brother, Joseph and step-father Fred Cluney
The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville with visitation Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.
The funeral service will be held at the Mount Allison University Chapel on Friday, April 11, 2003 at 2 PM, Rev. Dr. Jamie Gripton officiating.
