Ola Estabrooks
The death of Ola G. Estabrooks, age 85, of Middle Sackville, NB occurred at the Sackville Memorial Hospital, Sackville, NB on Saturday, April 6, 2002.
Born in Middle Sackville, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Bertha (McFee) Estabrooks.
Ola was a member of the Middle Sackville United Baptist Church, the Upper and Middle Sackville Women's Institute, a life member of the Women's Missionary Society and a member of the Ladies Aid of Middle Sackville United Baptist Church. She was an avid card player.
She will be sadly missed by 2 sons; Ronald (Shirley) of Sackville, Douglas (Isabel) of Pembroke, ON, 1 daughter-in-law Louise Estabrooks, Middle Sackville 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 1 sister Verna Estabrooks of Sackville.
She was predeceased by her husband Gerard, 1son Ormond, 2 infant children, brothers Fred, Lionel, Leonard Jr., and sister Ida Fillmore.
Resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St, Sackville, NB (364-1300) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 on Monday. The funeral service will take place at the Middle Sackville United Baptist Church on Tuesday, April 9, 2002 at 2 pm, Pastor Vernon Vickruck officiating.
Burial will follow in the Four Corners Cemetery.
Memorial Donations may be made to the Middle Sackville United Baptist Church Building Fund or the charity of choice.
Francis G.J. Estabrooks
The death of Francis G.J. Estabrooks, age 78 of Sackville occurred at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Sunday, April 14, 2002.
Born in Sackville he was a son of the Late Parker and Janie (Johnson) Estabrooks.
A former employee with the CN Railroad, he retired as Conductor after 35 years of service.
A veteran of World War II he served in the Canadian Air Force as a wireless operator.
He is a member of the Sackville Branch # 26 of the Royal Canadian Legion.
Francis will be sadly missed by his wife of 60 years Evelyn (Somerville), Sackville, 3 sons; Wayne (Betty), Sherwood Park, AB, Gregory (Pat), Westcock NB; Garnet (Linda), Lower Sackville, NS, 3 daughters; Gail, Toronto, Janet (Ronald) Smith, Riverview, NB and Lorraine McAllister, Williams Lake, BC, 1 sister Amy (Kent) Flemington, Kingston, ON, 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was predeceased by a daughter, Glenda, a grandson Gregory Graham, a brother Oren and a sister Sybil.
The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville (364-1300) with visitation Monday from 7 to 9 and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 17, 2002 at 2 PM, Rev. Barry Todd officiating.
Burial in the Sackville Cemetery. Those wishing may make memorial donations to the Sackville Memorial Hospital or a charity of the donor's choice.
Sackville Branch # 26 or the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a memorial service at the funeral home on Tuesday at 7:30 PM.
Michael Turpin
The death of Michael Turpin, age 61 of Bayfield, occurred suddenly at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, November 13, 2001.
Born in Heatherton, NS, he was a son of the Late Harold and Mary (Richard) Turpin.
Michael was a former employee of Hayes-Dana (Canada) with 32 years of service. Living many years in Niagara Falls he retired in 1995 and moved to Bayfield.
A family man, Michael will be sadly missed by his wife, the former Victoria (Vicky) Terdik, Bayfield, 3 daughters, Brenda (John) Van Stralen Winona, ON, Sharon (Roy) Jones, Beamsville, ON and Michelle Zaloba, Smithsville, ON, his exwife, Nancy Stack, St. Catherine's On., 2 step-daughters, Monika Markus and Jennifer (Derek) Bredin, both of Niagara Falls, ON., 3 sisters, Jean (Garnet) Trenholm, Timber River, NB, Shirley (Vincent) MacPherson, Sydney, NS and Wilda (Norman) Trenholm, Port Elgin, NB, 10 grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother Russell Turpin and a niece Beverley.
The remains are being forwarded for cremation. There will be no visitation or memorial service.

Alex MacDonald
The death of Alex MacDonald, age 78, of Sackville occurred at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Sunday, July 7, 2002.
Born in Sackville he was a son of the Late James and Mary (Ahearn) MacDonald. Alex was a former employee of Mount Allison University with 23 years of service, and had many friends who will long remember him for his kindness and generosity. He was a member of St. Vincent's Roman Catholic Church and an honourary member of the Sackville Fire Dept.
Alex is survived by a brother, Louis MacDonald of Victoria, BC. , nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Ken, a sister Eliza and an aunt Amy MacDonald.
The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville (364-1300) with visitation Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 10, 2002 at 11 AM at St. Vincent's Roman Catholic Church, Sackville.
Burial in the Parish Cemetery. A prayer vigil will be held Tuesday evening at 8:30 at the funeral home.
Rose Thompson
The death of Rose Thompson, age 97, widow of Earle Thompson, occurred at the Drew Nursing Home, Sackville on Tuesday, July 16, 2002.
Born in Moncton, she was a daughter of the late William and Henrietta (Warman) Blakney.
Rose will be sadly missed by 2 sons, Merville, (Elizabeth) Moncton, and Earl (Eleanor), Sackville, a daughter, Barbara (Stanley) Mill, Victoria, BC, daughters-in-law, Myrtle and Vesta, 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Earle and sons Clyde and William.
The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville (364-1300). There will be no visitation, however, friends and relatives are invited to attend the funeral service, Friday morning, July 19, 2002 at 11 AM, followed by a time of Tea and Fellowship. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Middle Sackville Baptist Church, the Mount View Church Hall, or a charity of the donors choice. Burial in the Four Corners Cemetery.
Gordon Steeves
The death of Gordon Steeves, age 41 of Frosty Hollow, occurred at his residence on Saturday, November 2, 2002, following a lengthy illness.
Born in Sackville he was a son of Kenneth and Sadie (Brownell) Steeves. Gordie was formerly employed with Atlantic Industries and Leroux Steel.
Gordie will be sadly missed by his wife Bethany (Beal), Frosty Hollow, 2 sons, Cody and Brandon, both at home, his parents, Sadie and Ken Steeves, Sackville, maternal grandmother, Della Brownell, Sackville, paternal grandmother, Anna Steeves, Cap Pele, brother, Kevin (Aileen Sears), Sackville, 2 sisters, Donna (Dennis) Landry, Dorchester and Vicki (Craig) Bowser, Sackville, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St.., Sackville (364-1300) with visitation Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral mass will be celebrated at the St. Vincent Roman Catholic Church, Sackville on Tuesday, November 5, 2002 at 11 AM , Father Phil Mulligan officiating. Burial in the Sackville Cemetery. All are invited to a prayer vigil at the funeral home Monday at 8:30 PM.
Renna Gallagher
Renna Gallagher, age 80, of Sackville N.B. passed away peacefully at her home on October 26th.
Born in Sackville, she was the daughter of the late Charles & Seraph (Tower) Bainbridge. She was a longtime resident of Sackville with a close circle of friends, loved her outings in the country, and was a member of the Main Street Baptist Church.
She was predeceased by her husband Leslie Gallagher in 1982. She will be sadly missed by her 4 sons, David (Judy), Toronto; Stuart, Toronto; Tim (Wendy), Sackville; Al (Cathy), Halifax; her daughter Nancy (Al) Neale, Trenton; her daughter-in-law Monica Mulvihill, Toronto; her niece and close friend Mona Johnson, Sackville; 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, her brother Clarence, Florida; and her sister Ann O'Neil, Sackville.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Freda Hargreaves, Ann Sexton, Daphne Day and the Extra Mural team for their personal care. Dorothy Hicks
The death of Dorothy Hicks, age 76, wife of Roland Hicks of Midgic occurred suddenly at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Sunday, October 6, 2002.
Born in Amherst, she was a daughter of the late Russell and Isabel (Anderson) Phinney. Dorothy was a former employee of Mount Allison University and a member of the Main Street Baptist Church
Dorothy will be sadly missed by her husband of 60 years, Roland Hicks, Midgic; a daughter Dianne (Blair) Hubert, Moncton; 3 grandchildren, Trudy, Shelley and Greg; 4 great grandchildren, Ashley, Erika, Kendra and Brycen; 2 brothers, Keith and Bob and by 5 sisters, Lottie, Louise, Judy, Donna and Barbara. She was predeceased by a son Eric, brothers, Lloyd, Gerald, Roderick and Doug and by a sister Alberta.
