John D. Brown
The death of John D. Brown, age 48, of Grand Barachois, formerly of Sackville, occurred on Tuesday, October 23, 2001 at the Dr. L. Georges DuMont Hospital.
Born in Sackville, he was a son of Jean (Downey) of Sackville, and the Late Fred Brown.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman, a member of the Catholic Church. He was a construction/carpenter for most of his life.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Dianne MacLean of Grand Barachois, 1 son; Jonathan at home, 1 daughter, Robyn Edmonds (Chris) of Dorchester, 1 grandson Tristen Edmonds, 3 brothers; Fred Brown (Evalena Tower) of Sackville, Terry Brown of Alberta, Kevin Brown (Linda) of Alberta, 1 sister; Katherine Brown (Doran Ramsay) of Sackville, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother Richard.
The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB (364-1300) on Wednesday, 7-9, and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Funeral mass will be held at the St. Vincent's Roman Catholic Church on Friday, October 26, 2001 at 2 pm. Father Philip Mulligan officiating. Burial to follow in the Sackville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Society.
Lillian Sophia Maxwell

Lillian Sophia Maxwell passed away at home in Baie Verte, NB on Tuesday, November 6, 2001.
Born in Shediac, she was the eldest daughter of the Late Hubert and Jessie (Hope) Bateman.
She is survived by 2 sons, John of Mill Cove, NB and Malcolm and his wife Anne and grandson James of Wetaskiwin, AB, 2 brothers, Stanley and his wife Louise of Halifax, Bert and his wife Helen of Shediac, an uncle Frank Bateman of Halifax. She is also survived by nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Dana, 2 sisters, Hilda and Beulah and a brother Lloyd.
A memorial service will be held at St. Luke's Anglican Church, Baie Verte on Sunday, November 11, 2001 at 2pm. Burial in the Baie Verte Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Extra Mural Hospital.

Carman Russell Estabrooks
July 30, 1930 - November 12, 2001
The death of Carman Estabrooks, age 71, of Sackville occurred on Monday, November 12, 2001 in the Moncton Hospital
Born in Cookville, he was a son of the Late Russell and Laura (Ward) Estabrooks.
An industrial mechanic he was a 30 year employee with Enterprise Foundry. Also employed with the Drew Nursing Home, Sackville he retired in 1994, after 13 years of service.
Carman will be sadly missed by his wife of 51 years, the former Charlotte Hicks, Sackville, 5 sons, Daniel (Susan), Midgic, Stephen (Cheryl), Gary (Cheryl) and James (Rhonda), all of Sackville and Carlyn, Moncton, 2 brothers, Floyd (Florence), Sackville and Glenn , Bear Lake, BC, one sister, Shirley (Raymond) Chrvala, Sackville, 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Agnes Charlotte in infancy and a brother, Donald.
The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville with visitation Wednesday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held Thursday, November 15, 2001 at 2 PM at the funeral home, Rev. Vernon Vickruck officiating. Burial in the Midgic Cemetery.
Edna Scott
March 4, 2001
The death of Edna Scott, age 84 of Minden, ON. occurred at the Highland Crest Nursing Home, Minden on Sunday, March 4, 2001.
Born in Oulton's Corner, NB on July 13, 1916, she was a daughter of the Late Albert and Margaret (Scrimgeour) Blacklock.
Edna will be sadly missed by 3 sons, Herbert (Veronica) , Dartmouth, Roy, Haliburton, ON, Eldon, Minden, ON, , 2 daughters, Ila (Aubrey) Harnett, Scarborough, ON and Barbara, Oakville, ON, 3 grandsons, 2 granddaughters and 1 great granddaughter. She was predeceased by her husband Walter Scott in 1986 and by brothers, Orville and Warren.
The remains are being forwarded from Ontario and will rest at the Jones Funeral Home, 3 West Main St., Port Elgin, (364-1300). Visiting hours will be held Friday Evening from 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held at the Jones Funeral Home, Port Elgin on Saturday, March 10, 2001 at 11 AM, Rev. Carolyn Byers officiating. Burial in the Fernwood Cemetery, Port Elgin in the spring.
Belinda Joy Beal
March 4, 1955 - February 7, 2001
The death of Belinda Beal, age 45 of Midgic occurred at the Moncton City Hospital on Wednesday, February 7, 2001.
Born in Sackville she was a daughter of John and Hazel (Carter) Beal.
Belinda was an employee of Lutes Mountain Tire, she was previously employed with Air Canada and OK Tire as well as Mount Allison University.
Belinda will be greatly missed by her maternal grandmother, Pansy Carter, Midgic, her parents John and Hazel (Carter) Beal, a son Jay Ryan, Moncton, a special friend Stan Sears, Midgic, a brother, Ricky (Trudy) Beal, Midgic and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by an infant sister, Shelley.
The remains have been forwarded for cremation. Belinda's family will receive friends during a time of visitation at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville (364-1300) on Saturday, February 10, 2001 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, February 11, 2001 at 2 PM, Pastor David Roy officiating. Burial in the Midgic Cemetery
in the spring. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
Pearl Bernice McBride
February 6, 2001
The death of Pearl McBride, age 88, of Sackville occurred at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, February 6, 2001.
Born in Sackville she was a daughter of the Late Edmund and Mabel (Crossman) Tingley.
Starting her working career as a nurses aid at Mount Allison University she worked in Sackville during the 40's. She was a church organist at Lakeburn United Church during the 50's and 60's. After marrying Raymond McBride in 1967 she co-operated a ranch in Canmore, Alta and operated Trail Rides until her husband died in 1979. Following his death she retired to Sackville. She was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Sackville, a member of the Sackville Senior Citizen's Club, and the Sackville Citizen's Glee Club.
Pearl will be sadly missed by 2 sons; Stephen (Betty) Bainbridge of Chester, NS, and Roddy (Georgina) Bainbridge of Dieppe, NB, 1 daughter; Mona Johnson of Sackville, NB, 2 brothers; Lawrence Tingley of Barrie, ON, and Austin (Ann) Tingley of Peoria, Arizona, two half-sisters Bertha Tingley of Amherst, and Violet Wilkie of Peterborough, ON, 10 Grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She was predeceased by her first husband Ralph Bainbridge in 1957 and her second husband, Raymond McBride in 1979.
The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St, Sackville, NB (364-1300) with visiting hours Friday from 7 to 9 PM. The funeral will be held from the St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Sackville on Saturday, February 10, 2001 at 11 AM, Rev. Ruth Houtby officiating. Burial in the Sackville Cemetery
in the spring. Donations to the Canadian Diabetic Association or charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
