Hazel Noiles

The death of Hazel Noiles, age 89 of Sackville occurred at the Drew Nursing Home on Tuesday, March 27, 2001.
Born in Midgic she was a daughter of the Late Garnet Hicks and an adopted daughter of the Late Havelock and Bertha Noiles.
Hazel was a member of the Sackville Senior Citizen's Club and a member of the Midgic United Baptist Church.
She is survived by 2 Half-Brothers; Chester (Audrey), Sackville and Russell (Jannette) of Riverview and 3 Half-Sisters; Lillian(Sherman) Cole and Margaret (Kenneth) Beal and Kathleen (Raymond) Ward all of Sackville, several nieces and nephews and many friends. She was predeceased by her mother, 2 brothers Kenneth Noiles and Charles Hicks, 2 sisters, Dorothy Hicks and Margaret (Hicks).
The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, (364-1300) with visiting hours Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, March 30, 2001 at 3 PM, Rev. David Roy officiating. Burial in the Midgic Cemetery
in the spring.
Donations may be made to the Midgic United Baptist Church, or a charity of the donors choice. Following the funeral service friends are invited to a time of tea and fellowship in the reception room of the Jones Funeral Home.
Dora Richard
January 20, 1910 - October 18, 2001
The death of Dora Richard, age 91, of Sackville occurred on Thursday, October 18, 2001.
Born in Sackville, she was a daughter of the Late Hyppolite and Justine (Thibodeau) Leger.
She was a member of St. Vincent's Roman Catholic Church in Sackville.
Dora was the last surviving member of her family being predeceased by 5 brothers and 7 sisters. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Richard in 1951
The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville (364-1300) with visitation Friday from 2 to 4PM and 6PM until the time of the funeral. The funeral service will be held Friday, October 19, 2001 at 7 PM at the funeral home, followed by a time of tea and fellowship. Burial in the Sackville Cemetery.
Alberta Grace (Leaman) (Hickman) Gibbard
September 10, 1919 - October 16, 2001
Alberta Gibbard, 82, of Dorchester passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2001, at Sackville Memorial Hospital
Born September 10, 1919, at Colpitts Settlement, "Bert" was the daughter of the late George and Gertrude (Magee) Leaman. She was an active member of Trinity Anglican Church and the Shepody IODE. For a number of years she was an insurance agent as well as a homemaker. "Bert" actively supported various organizations in her community, including the Eastern Star, Girl Guides, Keillor House Museum and Dorchester schools.
"Bert will be sadly missed by her daughter, Judith (Cole) Morison, Oakville, ON and her son, Robert (Marlene) Hickman of Dorchester as well as her grandchildren Christopher and Catherine Lutes, Jill and Alison Hickman, one sister-in-law Ida Leaman and nieces and nephews. Bert was predeceased by her first husband, Robert W. Hickman and her second husband John R. Gibbard, as well as her sisters Evelyn Hopper, Susan Colpitts and Hilda Atkinson, brothers William and Leonard.
The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, (364-1300) with visitation Wednesday and Thursday from 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held at Trinity Anglican Church, Dorchester on Friday, October 19, at 2 PM, Rev. Kevin Stockall officiating. Burial in the Dorchester Cemetery. Donations to the Sackville Memorial Hospital Auxiliary or a charity of the donor's choice.
Eileen Rogerson
August 23, 2001
The death of Eileen Rogerson, age 85, widow of David Rogerson, of Baie Verte, NB occurred at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Thursday, August 23, 2001.
Born in Tidnish, NB she was a daughter of the Late Edward and Annie (Kirby) Clark.
During World War II, she served with the RCAF (Women's Division) in Canada, she was a member of the Sackville Legion Branch #26. Eileen was a member of the Fort Monckton Chapter of the Eastern Star, the Baie Verte Senior Citizens, and St. James Presbyterian Church, Port Elgin.
She is survived by daughters Nettie (Roland) Wells and Patricia (Roger) Ward both of Sackville, a son James (Debbie) Rogerson of Baie Verte , 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Eileen was predeceased by her husband David and a daughter Corinne Wells.
The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 3 West Main St., Port Elgin (364-1300) with visiting hours Saturday, August 25 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM The funeral service will be held Sunday, August 26th at 2PM, Rev. Ruth Houtby officiating. Burial will take place in the Fernwood Cemetery, Port Elgin. Memorial services will be held Saturday evening by the Fort Monckton Eastern Star at 7:00 and the Sackville Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion at 7:30.
Minnie Allen

The death of Minnie Allen, age 104, widow of Herman Allen, of Bayfield, NB, occurred at her home on Wednesday, August 15, 2001.
Born in Anderson Settlement on January 2, 1897, she was a daughter of the Late Robert and Phoebe (Oulton) Cadman.
She was a member of East Westmorland Senior Citizen's Club and a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Cape Tormentine Legion. She was a former member of the Ruby Rebecca Lodge
Mrs. Allen is survived by 3 sisters; Dorothy Calanan, Fredericton, NB, Anne Alger, Bear Lake, BC, Jessie Alder, Anderson Settlement, NB, 2 granddaughters; Carolyn Boutilier and Rocksey (Myles) Dean, both of Bayfield, 5 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren , a son-in-law Alden Phinney and numerous Nieces and Nephews.
She was predeceased by a son Arnold in 1945, a daughter Ina in 1971, and her husband Herman in 1972.
The remains are resting at the Bayfield United Church with visitation Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held at the Bayfield United Church on Saturday, August 18, 2001 at 1 PM, Rev. Carolyn Byers officiating. Burial in the Bayfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. The family thanks you for not using scented products at the church.
Clifford M. Allen

The death of Professor Clifford M. Allen of Sackville occurred in Moncton City Hospital on Thursday, August 2, 2001 at 73 years of age.
Born in Winnipeg, MB, he was a son of the Late Claude and Bertha (Womersley) Allen .
Clifford dedicated his life to his family and teaching, through the classroom and Scouting. He was honoured by Scouts Canada as a recipient of the Silver Acorn and Bar for especially distinguished service. He was presented the Herbert and Leota Tucker Award in 1987 for excellence in teaching at Mount Allison University. He also hosted a Folk Music program on the local community radio station, CHMA.
He will be sadly missed and always remembered by his wife the former Jean Atkinson of Sackville, three sons Ian , Robert and Liam (Andrea McLellan), all of Sackville, 1 granddaughter Lauren of Sackville, 1 sister Mary (Douglas) Armstrong of Edmonton, AB, as well as several nieces and nephews.
The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville (364-1300) with visitation Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held Sunday, August 5, 2001 at 2 PM. Burial will follow in the Sackville Cemetery
at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Sackville Memorial Hospital, Canadian Diabetes. Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
