Sterling Stephen Allen

The death of Sterling Allen, age 77 of Sackville occurred suddenly at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Friday, January 12, 2001.
Born in Cape Tormentine, he was a son of the Late Dana and Georgina (Allen) Allen.
An active person throughout his life he was a farmer, fisherman and carpenter . The past 20 years he was a garage attendent at Rod Allen's Shell, Sackville. He was a member of the Sackville Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion by affiliation.
He is survived by his wife Marguerite (Allen) of Sackville, a son Rod (Brenda) of Sackville, 2 daughters, Thelma Allen (Boyd) of Barrie, ON and Shirley Wilson of Amherst and 1 sister Evelyn (Raymond) Hicks of Sackville, 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother Vance.
The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, (364-1300) with visiting hours Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, January 14, 2001 at 2 PM, Rev. Dr. Jamie Gripton officiaiting. Burial in the Bayfield Cemetery
in the spring. A time of tea and fellowship will be held in the reception room of the funeral home immediately following the funeral service. If desired donations may be made to the Bayfield Cemetery, or Sackville Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
Norma Kay
January 8, 2001
The death of Norma Kay, age 86, of Sackville, widow of Robert (Red) Kay occurred at the Spencer Nursing Home, Moncton on Monday, January 8, 2001.
Born in Sackville, she was a daughter of the Late Robert and Lucy (Stultz) Bickerton.
At one time Norma served as president of the ladies division of the Sackville Golf and Country Club.
She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Rendell, Moncton, a Son Robert G. Kay, Moncton, NB 6 Grandchildren, and 8 Great Grandchildren . She was predeceased by her husband Robert in 1999, and by a brother Aurele and a sister Doris.
The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, (364-1300) with funeral service to be held Thursday, January 11, 2001 at 11 AM at the funeral home, followed by a reception. Pastor Barry Todd officiating. Burial in the Sackville Cemetery
in the spring.
William George Patterson
January 8, 2001
The death of William G. Patterson, age 87 of Sackville occurred at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Monday, January 8, 2001 after a lengthy illness.
Born in Midgic he was a son of the Late William and Kate (Fillmore) Patterson.
For 28 years Bill was a tinsmith at Enamel and Heating until 1969 when he became a custodian at Mount Allison University. He was a CBer and enjoyed camping.
Bill will be sadly missed by his wife Margaret (Estabrooks), Sackville, 3 sons, Austin (Peggy), Kitchener, ON, William (Diane) Fredericton, and Dale (Carolyn) of Sackville and 2 brothers, Charles (Evelyn) and Ellsworth (Betty) all of Sackville, as well as 3 sisters, Julia (Weldon) Hunsley, Amherst, Gertrude (Leonard) Ormandy, Lethbridge, AB and Sarah Ward of Amherst, 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Douglas and Carl and by a sister Eleanor.
The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St, Sackville (364-1300) with visiting hours Tuesday and Wednesday from 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday January 11, 2001 at 2 PM, Pastor Stephen Knowles officiating. Burial in the Fairhaven Memorial Gardens, Moncton.
John David Cortlandt Stiles
January 6, 2001
The death of David Stiles, age 61 of Lakeville occurred Saturday, January 6, 2001 at the Moncton City Hospital following a brief illness.
Born in Dorchester Cape he was a son of the late Ralph and Barbara (Houghton) Stiles.
An automotive sales and service person he retired after more than 30 years of service. A lover of country music he was an avid hunter, outdoorsman and a woodworker.
David will be sadly missed by his wife, Linda (Brown), Lakeville, a son Gordon (Heather), Lakeville, a daughter Lori (Trevor), Moncton, a brother Robert (Pat), Riverview, 3 sisters, Dorothy (Douglas) Beed, Riverview, Jeanne (David) D'Antimo, Brampton, ON, and Susan (Robert) Scott, Mississauga, ON, 2 grandchildren, Katrina and Samantha, as well as by his close friend and mother-in-law, Vera Brown, Lakeville and several nieces and nephews.

Randall Clyde Sears
March 29, 1962 - February 12, 2001
The death of Randall (Randy) Sears, age 38 of Sackville occurred suddenly at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Monday, February 12, 2001.
Born in Sackville he was a son of Ernest and Gwen (Gulliver) Sears.
Randy was a graduate of Tantramar Regional High School and Mount Allison University. He was a controller with SGCI Communications Inc., Sackville, and was formerly employed with the Atlantic Wholesalers. He was a 15 year veteran of the Sackville Volunteer Fire Dept., and an associate member of the Sackville Branch #26 Royal Canadian Legion. He was actively interested in sports.
Randy will be sadly missed by his parents Ernest and Gwen Sears, Sackville, a brother Brian (Norma), Wood Point, 2 sisters, Karen Sears, Westcock and Rhonda Sears, Halifax, a niece Jessica, 2 nephews, Justin and Jordan, several aunts and uncles.

Garfield Wilson
August 31, 1921 - February 9, 2001
The death of Garfield Wilson, age 79 of Dorchester, occurred suddenly at his home on Friday, February 9, 2001.
Born in Moncton he was a son of the Late Roy and Laura May (Wilbur) Wilson.
Garfield served with the RCAF during World War II in Europe. He was a former employee of Corrections Canada, serving from 1947 - 1976. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion.
Garfield will be sadly missed by his wife the former Rhoda McFadden of Dorchester, a son, Stephen (Arene) Wilson, Cap Pele, NB, a daughter, Dianne Anderson of Dorchester, 2 sisters, Dorothy Horsman, Moncton and Rita (Reginald) Horsman, Steeves Mountain, 2 grandchildren, Duane and David (Krista) Anderson and 3 great grandchildren, Carolyn, Nicholas and Stephen, also a sister-in-law, Anita Wilson of Dieppe, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter Sharon in 1948 and a brother Robert in 1994.
The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville (364-1300) with visitation Sunday, February 11 from 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, February 12, 2001 at 2 PM, Rev. Rick Marsters officiating. Burial in the Dorchester Cemetery
