John R. MacDougall
John Ross MacDougall, 79, of Jemseg passed away Saturday December 20, 2003 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton.
Born in Amherst a son of the late Jean MacDougall he was raised in Salisbury at the home of Mary Crisp. John was the proprietor of the former MacDougall’s Convenience Store in River Glade. In earlier years he worked as a carpenter and farmer.
He was a dedicated father and loving husband of over 58 years to Cora J. (O’Blenis), daughters Barbara White and Sharon Ward (Moe) of Riverview, Louise Allain (Dave) of Moncton, Rhonda Kilcollins (Ronald) of Florenceville, sons Ross (Lucie) of Fredericton, Warren (Rachel) of High Prairie A.B., several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a son Stewart.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home , 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visitation Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.. The Funeral will be held from the Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday December 23 at 2 p.m. with Rev. K. Zwicker officiating. Interment at Pine Hill Cemetery, Salisbury at a later date.
The family would prefer a scent free environment. If so desired memorials to Pine Hill Cemetery

Erma A. Silk
Havelock: Erma Audrey Silk, 79, of Havelock passed away at home on Wednesday December 3, 2003 after a lengthy illness.
Born at Cherryvale , she was a daughter of the late Rufus and Laura (Corey) Black. A homemaker , Erma was a member of Saint Paul’s Anglican Church, Havelock and the A.C.W. of the church.
Survived by her beloved husband Emery, a daughter Audrey Dunstan (Lynn) of Havelock, sons Richard (Debbie) of Ottawa, Randall (Nadine) of Petitcodiac, 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson, sister Dorothy Corey, Lower Ridge, brothers Garnet Black, Lower Ridge, Claude Black, Centerville and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Juanita Corey, Geneva Boron, Bernice Keith, Marguerite Hanson, brothers Ford and Lawrence Black.
Resting at the Havelock Funeral Parlour, 19 Cross Street with visiting hours Thursday 2:30-4:30 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral will be held from Saint Paul’s Anglican Church , Havelock on Friday December 5 at 11 a.m. with Rev. William Morton officiating. Interment will be at the Butternut Ridge, Wesleyan Cemetery, Havelock.
If so desired memorials to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated .
Sherwood Arthur Steeves
Sherwood Arthur Steeves of Nixon passed away Wednesday December 31, 2003 at home.
Born at Steeves Mountain he was a son of the late Noble and Lillian (Steeves) Steeves. Sherwood was a retired carpenter and a member of the Nixon Baptist Church.
Survived by his wife Marion , children Michael (Phyllys), Dorchester, Dian Casey (Mike), Fredericton, Susan Cormier (Joseph), Whitby On., Cheryl Steeves and Brenda Steeves , Nixon, Wade (Brenda) of Colpitts Settlement, five grandsons, three granddaughters , four sisters, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by two brothers, three sisters.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home , 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting hours Friday 7-9 p.m. The funeral will be held Saturday January 3, 2004 at 1:30 p.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Meenink officiating. Interment at Fairhaven Cemetery, Moncton.

Miranda Dawn Julien
1978-2009
On Tuesday, March 31, 2009 Mrs. Miranda Dawn Julien of Cold Lake, Alberta passed away at the age of 30 years.
Miranda is lovingly survived by her husband: Heath Aaron Julien; four sons: Brandon, Eric, Quintin, Cole; daughter: Jessica; step daughter: Rhiannon; parents: Susan & Brian Goddard of Cold Lake, AB, Shannon & Danial Julien of Cold Lake, AB; two sisters: Amanda (Jeff) Davey of California, U.S.A.; Jennifer (Jason) Goddard-White of Cold Lake, AB; grandparents: Isabel & David Prosser of River Glade, NB, Jean Thorne of Havelock, NB, Clinton Goddard of Petitcodiac, NB; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins & many friends. Miranda was predeceased by her nephew: Issac Thomas Davey.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 6, 2009 in Cold Lake, Alberta with Padre Bob Deobald officiating. Eulogist will be Gilbert Prosser.
Pallbearers are: Adam Julien, Chris Lazenby, Jason White, Jeff Davey, Richard Newton, Desiree Julien.
Memorial tributes in memory of Miranda may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a Living Memorial for the family and arranged locally through the Salisbury Funeral Home (372-4800).
Helen McFarlane
Helen Elisabeth McFarlane, 88, of Sussex and formerly Havelock, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 22, 2008 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Toronto, she was the daughter of the late George and Euphemia Curwood (Seaton), Helen graduated from the Anglican Women’s College where she met her husband of 59 years, the Rev. Lloyd McFarlane. As best friends and partners they raised three children. Active as a lay reader, ACW member, choir director and Girl Guide leader, Helen played a key role alongside Lloyd in the parishes of Kinmount, Mono Mills, Fort Frances (Ont) and Campbellton (N.B.). Helen and Lloyd retired to Havelock where they remained active in the church community and the Butternut Ridge Seniors’ Club. They moved to the Anglican Church Homes in Sussex in 2005.
Through her faith, compassion, humour, and curiousity about life Helen touched the lives of her many friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Helen is survived by her beloved husband Lloyd, children Paul (Sally) of Chicago, Gillian McNaught (Peter) of Belleville, Judith Watling (Kerry) of Ottawa, grandsons D.J., Ryan, Jeremy and David, great grandson Dillon, and nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by infant daughter Mary Elizabeth, brothers Bill, Jim and Harry and an infant sister.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Trinity Anglican Church, Sussex on Tues. June 24 from 7:00-9:00pm. The funeral will be held at Trinity Church on Wed. June 25 at 11:00 am. with internment at Trinity Cemetery, Sussex Corner. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Primate’s World Relief Fund, the Trinity Church Entrance Way Project or the Cannon. Rev. Paul Jeffries Africa Project.

Evelyn McMackin Bishop
Evelyn Marion McMackin Bishop of The Glades passed away Sunday, July 20th at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Bathurst she was the daughter of the late Gerald and Gladys (Glidden) Tingley.
Evelyn was a retired Nurses Aid at Jordan Memorial Home and a member of St. Jude’s Roman Catholic Church.
She will be missed by her husband Clyde Bishop; daughters Phyllis Seely (Parker) of Petitcodiac, Irene McMackin of Riverview, Tammy Ames (Richard) of Mactaquac; sons Philip (Vivian) of Miramichi, Kenneth (Marilyn) of Salisbury, Hal Thomas (Agnes) of The Glades, Terry (Susan) of The Glades, Richard (Shelley) of Riverview; grandchildren Shannon, Candace, Bobby, Kevin, Johnny, Melissa, Katie, James, Rachel, Luke, Natalie, Daytona, Logan, Noah, Kennedy; several great grandchildren; stepchildren Betty, Edna, Lloyd and Ingrid; sisters Frances Devine, Marina Buchanan, Ethel Payne and Patricia Devine; brothers Perley, Walter and Mirnsey; several nieces and nephews; predeceased by her first husband Thomas (1994).

Father Allison Carroll officiating. Interment will be at the Goshen Cemetery
Friday morning.
