Frances D. Corey
1932-2009
Corey, Frances D., 77, of Chicoutimi, PQ and formerly of Havelock, passed away Thursday, October 15, 2009.
Born January 30, 1932 in Butternut Ridge, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Annie (McFarland) Corey. Frances was a retired school teacher from Chicoutimi and in her early years she taught at public schools in NB and Air Force Bases. She enjoyed travelling, entertaining friends and her visits home.
Frances is survived by her brother John J. Corey from Havelock, several cousins and many good friends.
The memorial service will be held Friday, October 23 at 11 a.m. from the Salisbury Funeral Home Chapel (3350 Salisbury Road, 372-4800) with Pastor Bill Parks officiating. Interment to follow at Loyalist Cemetery, Havelock.

Myrtle Perry
1915-2009
Perry, Myrtle Keith, 94, of the Grass Home in Riverview and formerly of Petitcodiac and Havelock passed away at the Moncton Hospital Thursday October 29, 2009.
Myrtle, born February 27, 1915 in Havelock, was a daughter of the late Edwin and Prudence (Cusack) Keith. A retired school teacher with 23 years of service in Havelock, she was a member of the Havelock Baptist Church and the organist for 37 years. Myrtle was a Sunday School Superintendant, Sunday School teacher, Dominion Life Member W.M.S., past president Baptist Women's Auxiliary, past Matron Gloria Chapter #25 O.E.S. and past president of the Havelock W.I. She was also a member and past president of Butternut Ridge Senior Citizens, a member of the Retired Teachers Association of Kings County, the Kings County Historical Society and co-author of the Keith family book.
Survived by children W. Clark (Hattie Marie) of Bedford, NS, Rayetta Ross of Montreal, QC, Leslie Gogan (Gerald) of Petitcodiac and Serge N. (Ferne) of Upper Sackville, NS; sister Edrie Stephens of Blackville; grandchildren Jeffrey, Cynthia, Melanie, Keith, Angela, Ian, Benjamin, Marc and Tanya; 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband E. Raymond; sisters Blanche Plume, Bernice Seely, Frances Seely, Mary Carson; brothers Kenneth, Richmond, Raymond, Irwin and E. Walter and son-in-law Malcolm J. Ross.
Resting at Havelock Funeral Parlour, 19 Cross Street (534-2600) with visiting Saturday 1 - 4 pm. The funeral will be held from the Havelock Baptist Church, Sunday, November 1 at 2 pm with Rev. Bill Parks officiating.Interment Greenhill Cemetery, Havelock.

Junior Chappell
1958-2009
Chappell, Junior Lee, 51, of Wheaton Settlement passed away at his home, Thursday November 19, 2009 following a suddden illness.
Junior, born June 24, 1958 in Prosser Brook was a son of Dorothy (Mitton) Chappell and the late Donald Chappell. He enjoyed racing at the River Glade Speedway, repairing cars and the outdoors.
He is survived by his wife Dana (Hicks); his mother Dorothy of Middlesex; daughters Kathryn and Emily; brothers Brian, Gary, Dennis and Randy; sisters Christine and Susan; grandmother Mary Mitton; mother-in-law Shirley Hicks (late Ralph); sisters-in-law Brenda Smith, Debbie Wesselius and brother-in-law Kirk Hicks and their families and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sons Stuart and Ross; brother Dale and sister Eunice.
The family will receive guests at the Salisbury Funeral Home 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800), Saturday 7 - 9 pm. There will be a family graveside service Sunday at Wheaton Settlement Cemetery.

Andrew Steeves
1954-2009
Steeves, Andrew (Andy) Walter, 55, of Synton passed away Saturday November 14, 2009 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Born in Elgin he was a son of Elsie (MacPherson) Steeves and the late Lewis Steeves. Andy retired from the Moncton Hospital's housekeeping department after 27 years service and he enjoyed working around the family homestead, his daily trips to Tim Horton's and had a passion for car shopping. He was a member of Five Points Baptist Church where he was a former custodian.
Survived and sadly missed by his mother Elise Steeves with whom he resided; sister Cheryl Leaman (Gary) of Prosser Brook; brothers Michael (Jocelyn) of Westfield, Kim (Shelley) of Boundary Creek; cherrished nieces and nephews Jenny Leaman, Charity Leaman, Tracey Steeves, Newel Leaman, Bradley Steeves and Keven Steeves. Survived also by aunts, uncles, cousins and many good friends that he always had time to share a converstion with. Predeceased by his grandparents Walter and Willena MacPherson, Walter and Jennie Steeves and a niece Terri Steeves.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and from where the funeral will be Wednesday November 18 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Shawn Kehoe officiating. Interment at Pleasant Vale Cemetery.

Ronald Corey
1943-2010
Corey, Ronald Russell, 66, of Parkindale passed away peacefully Thursday, February 18, 2010 at his residence surrounded by his family.
Ron, born July 6, 1943, was a son of Erma (Alward) Corey and the late Russell Corey. He was a self employed sign painter and formerly Graphic Artist with Co-op Atlantic. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and travelling the back roads. Ron's greatest love was playing music with friends and former band members. His home was always a welcome spot for friends to drop by for a game of cards or a jam session.
He was a proud father and grandfather and will be missed by his children Deborah Dehler (Rob Cormier) of Calgary, AB, Barbara Carr (Fred) of Liverpool, NS, Carla Reid (Denny) of Calgary, AB and Robin (Jane Bateman) of Canmore, AB; grandchildren Christopher & Britney, Jonathan & Tara, Kaylee & Andrew, Mason & Myla; his mother Erma of New Canaan; mother of his children Marion Collette of Petitcodiac; brother Gary (Darlene) of Havelock; sisters Carol VanKestren (Tom) of Summerland, BC and Trina Ryder (Peter) of Havelock; several nieces and nephews and many good friends and neighbours. Ron is predeceased by brother Lonnie.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) visitation will be Saturday 6-9 pm and from where the funeral will be held Sunday, February 21 at 2:30 pm with Rev. Fred Carr officiating. Interment at Greenhill Cemetery, Havelock at a later date.

Hellen Dunphy Fry
1922-2011
Hellen Dunphy Fry, 88, of the Villa du Repos, Moncton, passed away Monday, May 9, 2011 at her residence.
Born in Montreal, QC Hellen was a daughter of the late James and Rachel (Hooppelle) Dunphy. She was a homemaker, a member of the St. John's Anglican Church and ACW. Hellen was an avid bingo player.
She is survived by her children Jef (Cheryl) of St. Catherines, ON, Rick (Shawna) and Ronald both of Moncton; sister Sheryl Baker (Howard) of Ottawa, ON; 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Hellen is predeceased by husband Milton; daughter Patricia; sister Peggy and brothers Donald, Robert and James.
There is no visitation by Hellen's request. A memorial service will be held Friday, May 20 at 1pm from the St. John's Anglican Church, Salisbury with Rev. Dick Black officiating. Interment at Elmwood Cemetery.

Alta Lorraine Mesheau
1928-2011
Alta Lorraine Mesheau, 82, of Spencer Memorial Home and formerly of Salisbury, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at the Moncton Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Born in Butternut Ridge (Havelock), she was a daughter of the late Dean and Irene (Carson) Henry. Alta was a member of the Salisbury Baptist Church. She was well known as a great cook and loved to feed a crowd. She worked at several restaurants over the years, and she and Joe operated the Salmon Pool Restaurant and Woodland Cabins for several years. Her pies and donuts were amazing. Alta and Joe enjoyed camping and the grandkids always looked forward to trips with them. She was very proud of all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They enjoyed many winters in Florida after retirement. She loved doing crafts and handiwork and each of her two children and all the grandchildren are fortunate to have quilts she made for them over the years.
Alta is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years Burlin (Joe); children Carol Wortman (Lawrence) and Terrance Mesheau (Sandra); grandchildren Luke Wortman (Julee), Jill Wortman (Gary), Clay Wortman (Natalie), Stacey Gallant (Danny), Colin Mesheau (Roberta) and Leigh Anne Harris (Dave); great grandchildren Drew Duffy, Gabe Piercey, Dana Piercey, Chloe Wortman, Hannah Gallant, Cody Mesheau, Nicky Mesheau, Megan Harris, Thomas Harris and Kennedy Harris; sisters Olive Taylor, Myra Seeley (Ernest) and Alma Mesheau (Floyd); sisters in law Marjorie Henry and Ivy Tingley and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Alta is predeceased by sister Vivian Taylor; brother Dean Henry Jr.; infant brother and brothers in law Beryl Taylor and James Tingley.
