Addison Waldo Emery
1915-2009
Peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on July 25, 2009, Mr. Addison Waldo Emery, loving husband to Mrs. Lyda L. (Corscadden) Emery of St. George NB. Born at Wawieg NB on October 11, 1915, he was a son of the late Howard and Mildred (Bartlett) Emery. A loving husband, brother and friend, in addition to his wife Lyda, he is survived by a special chosen son, (MLA-Minister of Fisheries)) Hon. Rick (Debbie) Doucet of St. George, one sister, Carol Anderson of St. Stephen NB, one half Brother, Austin Emery of Saint John NB, a brother in law, Ray (Shirley) Corscadden of Maces Bay NB, a sister in law, Mona McCormick of Saint John NB and several nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends. Addison was predeceased by two sons; David and Danny and by two brothers, Leonard and Robert.
Prior to his retirement Addison worked for many years with Trynor Construction and retired with the New Brunswick Department of Transportation as a grader operator. Addison was a giving and caring man who was very active in his community as he was an active member of the Masonic Lodge # 12 F&AM, St. George NB, OES Granite Chapter #15 as well as a Shriner. He also was a member of the Luxor Shriner Flag Unit of Charlotte County and a life member of the St. George Curling Club. His family and many friends will miss his friendly smile and knowing his kind and gentle heart.
Resting at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB from where the service will be held from the Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel on Tuesday at 2 pm with Rev. Lorne MacLeod officiating followed by interment at the St. George Rural Cemetery. Visiting at the funeral home on Sunday from 7-9 pm and on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Masonic and OES Tribute Service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 7 pm. In Addison's memory, family floral tributes only and donations to the Presbyterian Kirk St. George Building Fund, The Shriner's Hospital for Sick Children or to the Charlotte County Transportation Fund would be appreciated by the family.
Thomas Eli Mitchell
1914-2009
Peacefully at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on July 19, 2009, Mr. Thomas Eli Mitchell, husband of the late Beulah E. (Cooke) Mitchell of Back Bay NB. Born at Back Bay on March 14, 1914, he was a son of the late Joseph and Ella (Leavitt) Mitchell. A loving father, grandfather, and brother, he is survived by a son, Tony (Kim) Cooke of L'Etang NB, two grandchildren; Alisha Newbury of Fort McMurray AB and Katelynn Cooke (Tony Harris) of Edmonton NB, two great grandchildren, Carter Newbury and Tanner Harris, sister in law, Frances Mitchell of Back Bay and brother in law, Medford Holland of St. Stephen NB and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. In addition to his wife Beulah, he was predeceased by two brothers, Murchie and Samuel and by two sisters, Avis Holland and Dana Walsh.
Tom spent most of his working life on the water. He enjoyed fishing and in his latter years enjoyed helping Tony prepare his lobster heads for the lobster season.

Murray Allan Watson
1938-2009
At the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB following a brief illness, Mr. Murray Allan Watson, loving companion of Phyllis (Gowan) Belliveau and husband of the late Linda (Harmon) Watson of St. George NB. Born at Pocologan NB on September 29, 1938, he was a son of the late Earl V. and Jessie (Shaw) Watson. A loving companion, father, grandfather, and brother, in addition to his companion Phyllis, he is survived by two sons; Shane (Dara) Watson of St. George NB, and Shawn Watson (Donna Quann) of Elmsville NB, one daughter, Sherry Brown of Surrey BC, three step daughters; Wanda (Eric) Kohler of Elmsville NB, Rosalie (Darcy) Brittain of Clarence Ridge NB and Tammy Barrio (Mark Fiander) of Rollingdam NB, 21 grandchildren including special granddaughter; Brandy Hatt, five brothers; Eric “Buddy” (Margaret) of Blacks Harbour NB, Paul (Cathy) of Pennfield NB, Douglas (Eloise) of Ludlow NB, David and Keith (Penny) both of Blacks Harbour NB, eight sisters; Shirley (Jim) Cameron of Nova Scotia, Pauline Russell of Pennfield NB, Mary Richardson of Nova Scotia, Jackie (Horace) Young of Pennfield NB, Carol (Russell) Surrette of Saint John NB, Margo (Hal) McLean of Nova Scotia, Debbie (Andy) Blanchard of St. George NB and Kelly (Danny) Fellows of Pennfield NB and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents and first wife, Linda, he was predeceased by a step son, Stuart Barrio and by two brothers, Maurice and Arthur.
Murray was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved going to yard sales and was an avid Bingo player. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #12 F&AM and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #40 both of St. George NB.

The service will be held from the Cornerstone Tabernacle Church, St. George NB on Wednesday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Andrew Regich officiating followed by interment at the St. George Rural Cemetery. A Masonic Tribute Service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 7 pm. In Murray’s memory, donations to the Canadian Diabetes. Association or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
Geraldine Marie Kinney
1930-2009
At the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on May 21, 2009, Mrs. Geraldine Marie (Golden) Kinney, wife of the late Aldon M. Kinney of Second Falls NB. Born at Bonny River NB on February 19, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Irvin and Frances (Robbins) Golden. A loving mother, grandmother and sister, she is survived by her daughter, Christine (Clair) Monaghan of Second Falls, two grandchildren; Steven (Dianne) Monaghan of Second Falls and Shawn Monaghan of Bonny River, great grandchildren; Stephanie and Jillian, four sisters; Marjorie Booker of Second Falls, Frances Deveau of Utopia NB, Donna (Raymond) Deveau of Bonny River and Kathleen (Glendon) Buchanan of Second Falls and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband Aldon, she was predeceased by one brother, Arthur Golden.
Geraldine was a loving mother who enjoyed going for drives and spending time at McDougall Lake in the summer. In her spare time she loved to garden and read.
In keeping with Geraldine’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held on Monday at 2 pm at the Second Falls Baptist Church, Second Falls NB, with Rev. Reg Ward officiating and the interment following at the church cemetery. In Geraldine’s memory, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Joyce Louise Matheson
1942-2009
At the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on September 21, 2009, Mrs. Joyce Louise (Aker) Matheson, wife of the late James H. Matheson formerly of Oak Bay NB. Born at Middleton, Kings Co. NS, on January 6, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Helen (Ward) Aker. A loving mother, grandmother, sister, step sister and friend, she is survived by one daughter, Vicki (Mark) Stevens of Canal NB, grandchildren; Brittany Lee-Stevens, Daniel Lee-Stevens, Jessica Stevens and Matthew Stevens all of Canal NB, two sisters; Doreen (Ronnie) Cook of St. George NB and Pauline Harris of L’Etang NB, one step brother, James (Gail) Leavitt of L’Etang NB and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband James, she was predeceased by her step father, Frank H. Breen.
Joyce was very hard working and enjoyed owning a local blueberry business. She was an avid bingo player who loved to go to flea markets so she could add to her “junk” collection. She loved her family and gave them all the love and time she had to offer. She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.

Gordon Cooke officiating followed by interment at the Second Falls Baptist Cemetery, Second Falls NB. Visiting at the church on Tuesday from 7-9 pm. Sonia Rita Grant
1954-2009
At the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on September 26, 2009, Mrs. Sonia Rita (Hooper) Grant, wife of Mr. Reginald Grant of Beaver Harbour NB. Born at Back Bay NB on April 9, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Rita (Mallet) Hooper. A loving wife and friend, she is survived by her husband, Reginald, cousins and many friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one brother.
Prior to her retirement, Sonia did various jobs throughout the local area. She was an avid animal lover who enjoyed knitting, crocheting and going for drives. She was always up for a good joke and loved to laugh.
As keeping with Sonia’s wishes there will be no visitation or service. A graveside service will be held at the St. George Rural Cemetery

Bessie Marguerite O'Neil
1932-2009
Peacefully at her residence, on September 26, 2009, Mrs. Bessie Marguerite (Mealey) O’Neil, wife of Mr. Wallace O’Neil of Pocologan NB. Born at Pocologan on April 3, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Hazel (Campbell) Mealey. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, in addition to her husband Wallace, she is survived by one son, Carl (Laura) O’Neil, and one daughter, Diane (David) Munn both of Pocologan, two grandchildren; Shyanne (Kenny) Hansen of Beaver Harbour NB and Carl Jr. (Angela) O’Neil of Dartmouth NS, four great grandchildren; Erik and Kaitlyn Hansen and Rachael and Bella O’Neil, two brothers; Charles (Georgia) Mealey and Kenny Mealey, three sisters; Hazel Winters, Beatrice Mealey and Alice McLean all of Pocologan and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Bessie was predeceased by one brother, Cecil Mealey.
Prior to her retirement, Bessie worked as a labourer for Connor’s Bros. She was an avid walker who enjoyed taking a long peaceful walk. She loved to take trips to Calais ME and to spend some quiet time watching hummingbirds. Bessie was a member of the Pocologan Baptist Church.
