Marjorie Helena Lambert
1923-2009
Peacefully at the Fundy Nursing Home, Blacks Harbour NB on January 30, 2009, Mrs. Marjorie Helena Lambert, wife of the late Carvell Lambert formerly of Back Bay NB. Born at Deer Island NB on February 22, 1923, she was the daughter of the late H. Blanchard and Clara (Lord) Lambert. A loving mother and grandmother, Marjorie is survived by one son, Chester (Dianne) Lambert of Back Bay, one daughter, Marilyn Wilson (James MacPhee) of Lambertville NB, six grandchildren; Dale Chaffey, Bonnie Haddon, David Chaffey, Jennifer Cooke, Jeremy Wilson and Kristi Cooke, 10 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by three brothers; Albin Lambert and Atwood and Leroy Rogerson.
Prior to her retirement, Marjorie was an insurance agent with C&M Lambert Insurance for 35 years, retiring in 1995. She loved playing and teaching piano and enjoyed knitting. She was a member of the Seaview Full Gospel Church at Back Bay and a life long member of the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada.
Resting at the Seaview Full Gospel Church, Back Bay NB, from where the service will be held on Sunday at 2:00 pm. The interment will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery, Deer Island NB in the spring. Visiting at the church on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In Marjorie’s memory, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Glyndon Harris Winsor
1951-2009
Unexpectedly, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on February 19, 2009, Mr. Glyndon Harris Winsor, husband of Mrs. Donna (Segee) Winsor of Pennfield NB. Born at Triton NFLD on November 25, 1951, he was a son of the late Maxwell and Ruth Winsor. A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, in addition to his wife Donna, he is survived by one son, Jason Winsor (Angela Kaglar) of Calgary AB, two daughters; Kelly Ann (Michael Johnston) of Utopia NB and Kathy Rose (Trevor Cook) of Pennfield NB, 11 grandchildren; Cortney, Mallory, Samantha, Michael, Meranda, Taylor, Jared, Mackenzie, Dylan, Kiera and Landon, one great grandson, Jaxson, his step mother, Eileen Winsor of Triton NFLD, two sisters; Maxina (Walter) Lane of Grandfalls-Windsor NFLD and Melvina (Robert) Burton of Pennfield, four brothers; Wesley (Norma) Winsor of Deer Lake AB, Kerry Winsor (Joan Gardener) of Grand Prairie AB, Brett Winsor of Triton NFLD and Blair (Nicole) Winsor of Blacks Harbour NB and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Glyndon was employed by Risers Construction, Pennfield NB where he took pride in his job and held high regard for his company and collegues. He was an avid jokester who loved to make people laugh. Glyndon was a family man who enjoyed spending his free time with his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
By the family’s request there will be a private visitation by invitation only held at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB from where the service will be held from the Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel on Monday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Grant Alcorn and Pastor Gordon Cooke officiating. In Glyndon’s memory, donations to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
Thomas "Bruce" Stackhouse
1936-2009
At the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on January 31st, 2009, Mr. T. Bruce Stackhouse, husband of Mrs. P. Joan (Frye) Stackhouse of Back Bay NB. Born at Saint John on June 25th, 1936, he was a son of the late James Richard and Annie Milicent (Scott) Stackhouse. A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, in addition to his wife Joan, he is survived by two sons; Rodney Bruce (Debbie) Stackhouse of Salisbury NB and Brian Keith (Debbie) Stackhouse of Hampton NB, five grandchildren; Kirsten, Leandra, Michelle, Logan and Rachael, one brother, Ronald (Audrey) Stackhouse of Grand Bay-Westfield NB, five sisters; Muriel Stackhouse of Ottawa ON, Laura Harting of Kingston Peninsula NB, Evelyn (Allison) Sheffar and Marjorie Calvin both of Saint John and Linda (John) Wilson of Nepean ON and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one sister, Edith Creaser and five brothers; Fred, George, Edward, Lloyd and Harold.
Prior to his retirement Bruce had worked for Canada Post as a postal clerk for 8 years. He also worked and had an extensive career with the YMCA in various locations including, Aquatic Director with the YMCA at Saint John, Physical Director with the YMCA at St. Thomas ON, The New Brunswick Protestant Orphan’s Home as Program Director and the Moncton Boys & Girls Club as the Assistant Director. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid sportsman.
There will be no visiting or service. A graveside service will be held at the St. George Rural Cemetery
with Rev. Mary Ann Langmaid officiating at a time to be announced in the spring. Carroll Wetmore Butler
1930-2009
At the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on February 3, 2009, Mr. Carroll Wetmore Butler of Stuart Town, Deer Island NB. Born at Deer Island on December 5, 1930, he was the son of the late Audley and Francis (Lambert) Butler, a loving brother, uncle and friend, Carroll is survived by one sister, Norma Leslie of Blacks Harbour NB and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one sister, Ethel Wheeler.
Carroll was a carpenter and boat builder by trade who worked most of his life on Deer Island. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He was a friend to all who knew him and a “father” to many.

Mildred Lillian (Leavitt) Parks
1923-2009
At the Passamaquoddy Lodge Nursing Home, St. Andrews NB, following a brief illness, on February 5, 2009, Mrs. Mildred Lillian (Leavitt) Parks, wife of the late Tilley Beecher Parks, formerly of St. George NB. Born at Milltown NB on November 27, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Wesley and Mildred (Bradford) Leavitt. A loving mother, grandmother and sister, Mildred is survived by five sons; Jim (Shirley) Parks, Richard (Sally) Parks, Larry (Bonnie) Parks and Mike Parks all of St. George and Bobby (Penny) Parks of St. Stephen NB, one daughter, Brenda Hanley (Barry Logan) of Saint John NB, eight grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, five brothers; Herbie (Rose) Leavitt of St. George, Vance Leavitt of Pennfield NB, Frank (Mavis) Leavitt of Beaver Harbour NB, Wesley Leavitt of Blacks Harbour NB and Keith (Alice) Leavitt of Breadalbane NB and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband Tilley, Mildred was predeceased by one daughter, Lori and by two sisters; Norma Brown and Joyce Hanson.
Mildred enjoyed traveling, especially her trips to Ontario. Two years ago she was finally able to visit Jasper AB and the Canadian Rockies. She was an avid fan of "Jeopardy" and gave a lifetime of loving care to her son Michael.
Resting at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533), 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB from where the service will be held from The Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel on Sunday at 2 pm with Rev. Andrew Regich officiating. The interment will be held at the Pennfield Rural Cemetery
in the spring. Visiting at the funeral home on Saturday from 3-5 and 7-9 pm. In Mildred’s memory, donations to the Charlotte County Cancer Society, or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
Esther Mae Allen
1920-2009
At the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB, following a lengthy illness, on February 10, 2009, Mrs. Esther Mae (Wilcox) Allen, wife of the late Mr. Anderson W. Allen of Blacks Harbour NB. Born at Wood Island, Grand Manan NB on April 5, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Lealand and Clara (Schofield) Wilcox. A loving mother, grandmother and sister, she is survived by one son, William “Bill” (Barbara) Allen of Utopia NB, two daughters; Jane Allen of Saint John NB and Nellie R. Allen of Halifax NS, four grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, three sisters; Kathleen Wilcox of St. George NB, Lydia Parker and Ella (Beverly) Cary both of Grand Manan NB, four brothers; Manson (Helen) Wilcox of Port Maitland NS, Lester (Betty) Wilcox of Pennfield NB, Walter (Alva) Wilcox of Moncton NB and Willis (Thelma) Wilcox of Grand Manan NB, special family friend, Donnie Munn and her beloved home care worker, Anne Grant, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two sisters; Alta Ingersoll and Little Nellie Wilcox, and by two brothers; Hollis and Donald Wilcox.
In her earlier years, Esther worked for Connor’s Bros. as a Sardine Packer and was a long time member of the Blacks Harbour Wesleyan Church, where she served on the Missionary Auxilliary and was a member of the Choir. She loved quilting and doing crossword puzzles and was an avid Domino player.

Theresa Mary Deveau
1944-2009
At the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on February 13, 2009, Mrs. Theresa Mary (Comeau) Deveau, wife of Mr. Philipe J. Deveau of Blacks Harbour NB. Born at Kent County NB on May 22, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Livain and Anita (Chevarie) Comeau. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, in addition to her husband Philipe, she is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth Chevarie ( Kevin Blanchard ) of Blacks Harbour, four sons; James Deveau (Barbara Kirk) of Bocabec NB, Timothy (Sherry) Deveau and Johnny Deveau both of Blacks Harbour and Francis (Tracey) Deveau of St. George NB, eight grandchildren; Joshua Lee, Jennifer Deveau, Tyler Deveau, Benjamin Deveau, Haylla Deveau, Michelle Deveau, Kyle McGlaughlin and Kameron Deveau, five brothers; Aurele Comeau of Blacks Harbour, Zoel (Mary Ann) Comeau, Emery (Anne-Marie) Comeau and Roger (Denise) Comeau all of Pennfield NB and Joseph (Carol) Comeau of Pocologan NB, two sisters; Cecilia Chevarie of St. Stephen NB and Marguerite Cormier of St. Charles NB and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Theresa was predeceased by one daughter, Betty Ann Deveau, one grandson, Devin McGlaughlin and by one brother, Isidore Comeau.
Theresa was a gifted musician who loved to play and sing and enjoyed writing her own songs. She loved collecting Eagles and Lighthouses and was an avid Elvis fan. She enjoyed nothing more then spending her quiet time home with her family and being in the company of friends.
By her request, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at the Calvary Baptist Church, Blacks Harbour NB, on Monday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Bruce Alcorn officiating. The interment will be held at the Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church Cemetery
