Enid Elizabeth Theriault
1918-2008
At the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on August 29, 2008, Mrs. Enid Elizabeth (Eldridge) Theriault, wife of Mr. Leonard Theriault of Beaver Harbour NB. Born at Beaver Harbour on October 30, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Maurice and Ida (Maxwell) Eldridge. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Enid is survived by her husband, Leonard, one son, Burton Theriault of Beaver Harbour, two daughters; Rosalind (Lloyd) Foster of St. George NB and Lenora Lomax of Little Lepreau NB, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by three sisters and five brothers.
Prior to her retirement, Enid worked as a Packer for Connor’s Bros. in Blacks Harbour for many years. She was a member of the OES Granite Chapter #15 of St. George and of the Beaver Harbour Baptist Church.
At Enid’s request no visitation will be held. A graveside service will be held at a later date. In Enid’s memory, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated by the family. Violet Etta Hooper
1909-2008
Peacefully at the Passamaquoddy Lodge, St. Andrews NB on August 31, 2008, Mrs. Violet Etta (Cook) Hooper, wife of the late Byron Henry Hooper, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour. Born at Back Bay NB on December 4, 1909 she was the daughter of the late Gratis P. and Emma E.(Leslie) Cook. A loving aunt to everyone, she is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Violet was predeceased by her seven brothers, Presley, Frank, Kinsbur, Carmen, Charlie, Arnold and Leo.
Violet was a life long member of the Sea View Full Gospel Church at Back Bay, where she taught Sunday School for many years and was very active in all church functions. Prior to her retirement, she spent most of her working life with Connor’s Bros. at Back Bay as a Sardine Packer. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends.
Resting at the Sea View Full Gospel Church, Back Bay NB, from where the service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 pm with Pastor Gordon Cooke officiating, followed by interment at the St. George Rural Cemetery. Visiting at the church on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In Violet’s memory, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Alan James Lord
1959-2008
Unexpectedly, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on September 3rd, 2008, Mr. Alan James Lord, husband of Catherine (McCumber) Lord of Fairhaven NB. Born at Blacks Harbour NB on January 4, 1959, he was a son of James Lord and the late Janice (Martin) Lord. A loving husband, father, son and brother, Alan is survived by his loving wife, Catherine, one son, Leigh Lord of Fairhaven, his father, James (Ina) Lord of Fairhaven, two brothers; Daniel (Liana) Lord and Thomas (Christa) Lord both of Fairhaven and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother, Janice.
Alan was a self employed fisherman who loved what he did for a living. He enjoyed being on the water and spending time with his family.
By Alan’s request no visitation will be held. A graveside service will take place on Saturday at 2:00 pm at the Fairhaven Community Cemetery

Freda Ruth Cooke
1911-2008
Peacefully at the Fundy Nursing Home, Blacks Harbour NB on July 29, 2008, Mrs. Freda Ruth (Cooke) Cooke, wife of the late Myles Lewis Cooke formerly of Back Bay NB, in her 98th year. Born at Watertown MA, on February 26, 1911, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Pearl Cooke. A loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by one daughter, Darlene Robertson of Back Bay, one son, Douglas (Shirley) Quigley also of Back Bay, seven grandchildren; Lisa Miner and her companion, Ralph Young of Bridgetown NS, Kara (Brian) Golding of Pennfield NB, Timmy Robertson of Kermeous BC, Shelly (Garard) Arsenault of Oak Bay NB, Mickey (Amy) Quigley of Florida, Lori Quigley of Portland ME and Douglas Quigley JR. of St. Stephen NB, 14 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her first husband, Milton Quigley and her second husband Myles Cooke.
Freda was a member of the Church of Christ at Back Bay.She loved her cats and spending time with her grandchildren and family.
Resting at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533) 26 Portage Street St. George NB from where the service will be held from the Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel on Friday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Conrad Cline officiating, followed by interment at the St. George Rural Cemetery. Visiting at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Stanford Getchell Young
1921-2008
Peacefully at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on December 23, 2008, Mr. Stanford Getchell Young, husband of Mrs. G. Myrtle (Boyce) Young of Leonardville, Deer Island NB. Born at Leonardville on September 7, 1921, he was a son of the late Warren and Maime (Conley) Young. A loving husband, father and grandfather, in addition to his wife Myrtle, he is survived by four daughters; Sandra (Richard) Fiander of Bocabec NB, Paula (John) Gilman of Lambertville NB, Velma (Stanley) Lord of Lamberts Cove NB and Brenda (Colin) Mitchell of Stuart Town NB, seven grandchildren; Andrew Lord (Stephanie Stewart), Betsy (Jay) Jones, Tony Gilman (Katie Brennan), Leanne (Michael) Silvaggio, Shawn Lord (Sabrina) and Jody and Gavin Mitchell, five great grandchildren; Ryan, Isabella, Julianna, Kiera and Keaton and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Stanford was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was predeceased by his first wife, Roberta Mae (Eastman) Young, three brothers; Cyril, Melville and Decosta and by three sisters; Thelma Tewksbury, Lois Musetta and Mona Sokolis.
Stanford was a fisherman for many years and prior to his retirement he became a highway supervisor for the NB Department of Transportation where he worked for 18 years. He enjoyed gardening and spending time at his cottage at Birney Lake NB and prior to his brothers passing, he could be seen touring Deer Island with his brother Decosta Young which was one of his favourite things to do. He was a member of the Leonardville Church of Christ and the Abanaki Lodge #55 where he was a member for 60 years as well as a Shriner.

Barbara Joyce Moore
1933-2008
Peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on December 24, 2008, Mrs. Barbara Joyce (Newell) Moore, wife of Mr. Malcolm “Mack” Moore of Saint John NB. Born at Yarmounth NS on September 16, 1933, she was a daughter of the late George and Ruby (Bethune) Newell. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister in addition to her husband Mac, she is survived by three sons; Mark (Elizabeth) Doyle of Fairfield NB, Christopher (Patricia) and Michael (Suzanne) Moore both of Halifax NS, eight grandchildren, one great grandchild, one brother, Robert “Bob” (Doris) Newell of St. George NB, one sister, Ramona Brenton of Truro NS, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her first husband Richard, two sons; Danny and Brian, one daughter, Wanda Leann and one sister, Betty Parks.
Prior to her retirement Barbara worked as a Tax Specialist for Ben Tax Services and Sobey’s. She was artistic and enjoyed knitting, music, and playing Bingo as well as spending time with her grandchildren.
By Barbara’s request, there will be no visitation and a private family service will be held at a later date. The interment will be held at the St. George Catholic Cemetery, St. George NB, in the spring. In Barbara’s memory donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Ralph Oscar Rogers
1962-2008
Peacefully at the Moncton City Hospital, Moncton NB, surrounded by his family and friends on December 30, 2008, Mr. Ralph Oscar Rogers, husband of Mrs. Andrea (McRae) Rogers of Moncton NB. Born at Fergus ON, on November 30, 1962, he was a son of the late Charles R. and Helen (Mickelown) Rogers. A loving husband, father and brother, in addition to his wife Andrea, Ralph is survived by one son, Jared of Moncton, two brothers; Charlie (Ann) Rogers of Brussells ON and Joe Rogers of Fergus ON, one sister, Lucy Rogers (Mike Baird) of Fergus ON as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ralph was an employee of Leon’s Furniture of Moncton where he had resided for the past few years. Prior to residing at Moncton he lived at Pennfield NB, where he served as a volunteer firefighter, which was a position he was proud of, and at one time he had aspirations of becoming a professional firefighter. He was a Millwright by trade and was a computer enthusiast. Ralph was a graduate of Conestoga College of Guelph ON.
Resting at the residence of his father in law, Mr. Francis McRae, 191 Route 176, Pennfield NB with visiting on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The service will be held from the Pennfield Baptist Church on Friday at 2:00 PM with Pastor Terry MacCabe and Rev. Grant Alcorn officiating. Interment at the Pennfield Rural Cemetery
