Arthur Allison Chesley
At the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB on May 23, 2003, Mr. Arthur Allison Chesley, husband of Shirley (Wilcox) Chesley, passed peacefully away with his family by his side.
Born in Saint John, NB on October 13, 1931, he was the son of the late Jack and Doris (Ellis) Chesley. A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, Allison leaves behind his wife of 48 years, Shirley; two sons, Gerald (Millicent) Chesley of Moncton, NB, Ronald (Sandi) Chesley of Victoria, BC; one daughter, Susan (Lynn) MacDonald of Charlottetown, PEI; nine grandchildren, Allison, Ben, Calum, Dani, David, Elizabeth, Jeremy, Jeni, and Meghan; one great-granddaughter, Emma Allison; one sister, Shirley (Eldon) Goobie of Rothesay; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and good friends and neighbours, Gui, Verlie, Joshua, and Godson, Nicholas Mailhiot.
Allison was a Lobster Fisherman for 40 years and ran Deep Sea Fishing Charters. He was an avid curler and served many years with the Royal Canadian Legion. He was a member of the Pocologan United Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and sang with the choir. Allison spent five years on the CAM Unit at St. Joseph's Hospital, and 1 ½ years at Fundy Nursing Home, where he was loved and well cared for.
Resting at the Pocologan United Baptist Church where the funeral will be held on Monday at 2 pm, followed by interment in the St. George Rural Cemetery. Visiting at the church on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.

Elizabeth (Tiny) Aldea Doucet
Peacefully, at the Fundy Nursing Home, Blacks Harbour, NB, on June 14, 2003, Mrs. Elizabeth (Tiny) Aldea Doucet, wife of the late Harold Augustive (Gus) Doucet, formerly of St. George, NB. Born in Edmundston, NB on September 15, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Emile and Yvonne (LeClerc) Charron.
A loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she is survived by one son, MLA Rick (Debbie) Doucet of St. George, NB; three daughters, Rosi Tamagi of Calgary, AB, Terry (Brian) Battershell of Ontario, and Vonny (Harold) Phillips of Calgary, AB; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Rene Charron of Ottawa, ON, and Adrien Charron of Edmundston, NB; four sisters, Alfreda Charron of Edmundston, NB, Dot O'Brien of Halifax, NS, Reneild (Charron) Ethier of Sorel, PQ, and Louise (Charron) LaVoit, Ramouski, PQ. Tiny was pre-deceased by one daughter, Carol Doucet.
Tiny was a long-standing member of St. George's Roman Catholic Church, and enjoyed playing bridge, sewing, and curling. Her greatest passion was her family and friends.
By her request, there will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held celebrated at St. George's Roman Catholic Church on Friday, June 20th at 2 pm. A reception will follow at the Masonic Hall, St. George, where the family will receive relatives and friends.

Maurice Sheldon Hanley
Unexpectedly at his residence in Back Bay, NB, May 30, 2003, Mr. Maurice Sheldon Hanley, husband of the late Thelma (Hooper) Hanley.
Born in Back Bay, NB on February 3, 1930, he was a son of the late Joseph and Bertha (Hanley) Hanley. A loving step-father and grandfather, he is survived by one step-son, Herbert (Diana) Leslie of Back Bay, NB; six step-daughters, Barbara (Albert) Leavitt of L'etete, NB, Gail (Hugh) Carvell of Saint John, Gloria (Paul) Cloney of St. Stephen, Kathlene (Louis) Seeley of Back Bay, Josephine (Glenwood) Gullison of Lynnfield, NB, Connie (Javier) Martinez of Spain; 37 grandchildren; several great and great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Maurice was pre-deceased by four brothers, Truman, William, Delbert and Fred; and two sisters, Della Hooper, and Dora Doak. Maurice loved reading and sports, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and playing his games. Maurice was employed for many years by Connors Bros. Ltd. as a Security Guard, and also at Lake Utopia Paper as a guard.
Resting at the Seaview Full Gospel Church, Back Bay, NB, from where the service will be held on Tuesday, June 3, at 2 pm, followed by interment in the St. George Rural Cemetery. Visiting at the church on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Donations in Maurice's memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Percy Holden Jordan
Peacefully, at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, NB on May 30, 2003, Mr. Percy Holden Jordan, of Lincort Manor and formerly of Second Falls, NB, husband of the late Eunice (Goodrich) Jordan. Born in Barker's Point, NB on March 15, 1920, he was a son of the late Gilbert and Clara A. (Smith) Jordan. A loving father and grandfather, Percy is survived by one son, Emerson (Edith) Jordan of Second Falls; two daughters, Clara (Charles) Chambers, Alice (David) Baldwin, all of Second Falls, NB; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Rhoda Carson of Campbellton, NB; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was pre-deceased by two brothers, Ralph and Gilbert.
Percy was a veteran of WWII, serving overseas in England, France, Belgium and Holland with the Carleton-York Regiment. He went overseas in the fall of 1944 until victory was declared. He was a heavy-equipment operator by trade, working the last 18 years prior to his retirement with Lake Utopia Paper. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #40, St. George.

Myra Louise (Austin) O'Brien
Peacefully, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB on June 5th, 2003, Myra Louise (Austin) O'Brien, wife of the late Arthur A. O'Brien, of Blacks Harbour, NB. Born in L'Etang, NB on March 16, 1914, she was the daughter of the late William and Flora (Brown) Austin. A loving mother, she is survived by one son, Michael (Judy) O'Brien of Durham, NB and many friends.
Myra had worked for Connors Bros. Ltd. in Blacks Harbour as an Office Clerk for 40 years. She was a member of the Calvary United Baptist Church in Blacks Harbour. She loved roses and gardening. At her request, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at the Calvary Baptist Church in Blacks Harbour on Tuesday, June 10th at 2 pm. Donations to the Charlotte County Cancer Society, the Canadian Diabetes. Association, or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. Eva Mae Bright
Peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit, Saint John Regional Hospital, with her family present, on July 17, 2003, Mrs. Eva Mae (Campbell) Bright, wife of the late Joseph E. Bright of Pocologan, NB. Born in Pocologan on January 22, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Edward Chase and Stella (Dixon) Campbell.
A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, she is survived by one daughter, Marjorie (Mrs. Robert Bodaly) of Saint John; one grandson, Stephen (Darlene) of Saint John; one great-granddaughter, Jennifer Dawn, and one great-grandson, Kody William, both of Saint John; four sisters, Annie Hardie of Saint John, Kathleen Campbell and Mildred Boyd, both of Pocologan, and Marion Boyd of Pennfield; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by eight sisters and five brothers.
Eva was an avid gardener who enjoyed her garden. Prior to her retirement, she had worked for Connor’s Brothers Ltd. in Blacks Harbour for 22 years as well as custodian for the Board of School Trustees at Pocologan School for 7 years.
Resting at St. George Funeral Home, 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB (755-3533), with visiting on Friday from 7 – 9 p.m. and Saturday from 2 – 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. The service will be held at The Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel on Sunday, July 20, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the Pennfield Rural Cemetery. In Eva’s memory donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
Kenneth (Cab) Alexander Fraser
Peacefully, at the Charlotte County Hospital, following a brief illness, on July 24, 2003, Mr. Kenneth (Cab) Alexander Fraser, husband of Eunice T. (Justason) Fraser of Utopia, NB. Born in St. George, NB on December 1, 1915, he was a son of the late Harry and Grace (Spear) Fraser. A loving husband, father and grandfather, Cab is survived besides his wife, by one son, Glenn (Sharon) Fraser of Ontario; two daughters, Randi (Jozsef) Jobbagy of Ontario and Judith Fraser of California; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A veteran of WWII, Cab served as a gunner with the 89th Atlantic and Scottish Regiment, serving in England, Sicily, Italy, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany, where he was awarded the military Medal for Bravery, and recently the Holland Friendship Medal for his part in the liberation of Holland. Following the war, he began working for NB Power as a Journeyman Linesman, and then moved to Toronto, where he worked for Toronto Hydro until his retirement. He was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge #12 F and AM, and Luxor Temple in Saint John, where he was a member of the Flag Unit. Also, Cab was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #40, St. George, and a life-time member of CUPE Local 208. Cab, with his wife Eunice, enjoyed his 28 years of retirement. He enjoyed travelling in his motor home and travelled every mile of the Trans Canada Highway. He also enjoyed his fishing boat and attending the many Veteran’s Reunions.

The service will be held on Sunday at 2 pm at the Pennfield United Baptist Church, followed by interment in the St. George Rural Cemetery. There will be a Legion tribute at the funeral home on Saturday at 7 pm, followed by a Masonic tribute at 7:15 pm. Donations to the Shriner’s Hospital would be appreciated by the family. Following the funeral, the Fraser family invites you to attend a reception at the Masonic Hall in St. George.
