Norma Thompson
1936-2009
ST. CHARLES, NB - Norma Thompson, 73, of St. Charles passed away peacefully at the Villa Maria, St. Louis de Kent on Thursday, April 23rd, 2009. Born in New Liskeard, Ontario she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Eva (Gibbons) Conner. After Norma’s service in the R.C.A.F., she was employed at the Base Administration. She was a member of the Richibucto Legion Branch No. 30 where she was a former secretary. She also was Commanding officer of the Royal Canadian Air Cadets 773 Sqdn. and a volunteer with the Literacy Program, Track & Field, Minor Hockey, and Legion Bingo.
Norma will be sadly missed by her three daughters; Janet Lillie, Mary Lou Cameron (Gordon), Nathalie Thompson, three sons; Alfred (Nancy), James (Margaret), Bruce (Michelle), one sister; Shirley Boyce, 11 grand children, 8 great grand children, several nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Normand.
Resting at Thompson’s Funeral Home with visitation on Sunday 7 to 9 and Monday at 1:00 pm until time of funeral. A Memorial Service will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home Chapel, Richibucto on Monday, April 27th, 2009 at 3:00 PM. Interment will be in the Aldouane Roman Catholic Cemetery. Edouard Sélime Vautour
1918-2009
RICHIBUCTO, NB – Edouard Sélime Vautour, 91, of Richibucto passed away peacefully at the Villa Maria, St. Louis de Kent on Thursday, April 23rd, 2009. Born in St. Louis de Kent, he was the son of the late Sélime and Julie (Daigle) Vautour. Before his retirement, Edouard had worked as a fisherman. He was a member of the Richibucto Golden Age Club and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 30 Richibucto. Edouard also served in the Canadian Army during WW 2.
Edouard will be sadly missed by his two daughters; Charline (Bernard Robichaud), Raymonde (Michael Zinck), 1 son; Gerard (Elmonde), one sister; Emerise Martin (late Edgar), nine grand children; Dominic, Véronique, Danielle, Henri, Diane, Paulette, Angèle, Yves, Ginette, several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his wife; Mabel (Alfreda) Martin Vautour, four sisters; Ida, Lita, Lidia, Julie, three brothers; Zoël, Léo and Sélime.
Resting at Thompson Memorial Home, St. Louis de Kent with visitation on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9, Monday at 11:30 until departure for funeral. A funeral Mass will be held at the St. Louis de Gonzague Roman Catholic Church, Richibucto on Monday, April 27th, 2009 at 1:30 pm. Interment will be in the Aldouane Roman Catholic Cemetery. Peter O'Brien
1930-2009
REXTON, NB - Peter O’Brien, 78, of Rexton passed away at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste. Anne de Kent on Thursday, April 23rd, 2009. Born in Richibouctou-Village he was the son of the late Leonard and Vitaline (Dollard) O’Brien.
Peter will be sadly missed by his wife; Lauzia (Robichaud) O’Brien, one sister; Marie, two brothers; Henry and John, and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by one sister; Rita (1994), two brothers; Aurelle (1995) and Laurie (1977).

Alphée Mazerolle
1932-2009
POINTE-SAPIN, NB - Alphée Mazerolle, 76, of Pointe-Sapin passed away peacefully at La Villa Maria, St. Louis de Kent on April 14th, 2009. Born in Pointe-Sapin he was the son of the late Georges and Marguerite (Vautour) Mazerolle.
Alphée will be sadly missed by his wife Sandra (Russell) Mazerolle, one daughter; Gerene Beaulieu of Alberta, two sons; Jean-Paul Mazerolle of Alberta, Marc Mazerolle (Ileene) of Fredericton, two grand children; Yves Mazerolle and Kyla Davies, one sister; Lorida Blanchard (late Luc) of Acadieville, two brothers; Edmond (late Marcella) of Pointe-Sapin, Alfred (Adeline) of Acadieville, several nieces and nephews.
Alphée was raised by a step family and predeceased by his step parents; Xavier and Sarah Daigle, step brothers and step sisters; late Gerard (Bibienne), late Edgar (Léocade), late Xavier (late Marie), late Florence (late Alfred), late Elise (late Arcade), and late Sarah (Archie).
Resting at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Slumber Room, Pointe-Sapin with visitation on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9, Friday at 1:00 pm until departure for funeral. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 17th, 2009 at 3:00 pm at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Pointe-Sapin, NB. Interment will be in the parish cemetery at a later date. Marie Gallant
1913-2009
St. Ignace, NB – Marie Gallant of Shediac and formerly of St. Ignace passed away at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Saturday, April 11th, at the age of 96. Born February 20th 1913, she was the daughter of the late Sylvestre and Caroline Robichaud. She was predeceased by her husband, Lazare Gallant and by her brothers, Albert, Fidèle, Urbain, Mathais, Luc and her sisters, Régina and Elise. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. For many years Marie was a saleslady for AVON and she had also worked as a
homemaker for many priests of her diocese. Resting at Thompson Memorial Home, St. Louis de Kent with visitation on Tuesday, April 14th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Wednesday from 2 pm until departure for funeral. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the St. Ignace de Loyola Roman Catholic Church, St. Ignace on Wednesday, April 15th at 4 pm. Interment in the parish cemetery at a later date. Alexina Landry
1922-2009
ST. LOUIS DE KENT, NB - It is with great sadness that the family of Alexina Landry, 87, announces her passing on Wednesday, April 8th, 2009 at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste. Anne de Kent after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the widow of the late Lionel Landry.
Born on March 30th, 1922 in St. Louis de Kent, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Lucie (Guimond) Comeau.
Mrs. Landry was a member of the Club d’Age d’Or of St. Louis de Kent and parishioner of St. Louis des Francais Roman Catholic Church.
She is survived by her much loved children; Annette (Bertin) Jaillet of St. Edouard de Kent, Marie-Germaine (Félix) Doucet of Kouchibouguac, Lucille (Albert) Arsenault of St. Louis de Kent, Honoré (Jane) of Truro, NS, Eddy (Ginette) of Gloucester, ON, cherished grand children; Ginette (Claude), Denis (Léa), Gilles (Élise), Jean-Guy, André (Denise), Roxanne (Daniel), Martin, Éric, Yves, (Marie-Pierre), Serge (Sylvie), eight great grand children; Dillon, Jérémie, Nicholas, Marilyne, Gabrielle, Olivier, Antoine, Jeremy, seven sisters; Marguerite (Eloi) Babineau, Yolande (late Eric) Magill, Céline (Émery) Comeau, Lucienne (Elmer) Daigle all of St. Louis de Kent, Emilia (Vincent) Richard of St. Ignace, Ozélie (Gérard) Richard of La Villa Maria, two brothers; Cyriac (Eva) and Roger (Alfreda) both of St. Louis de Kent as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband Lionel (1997) and parents, she was also predeceased by two brothers and one sister; Yvon and Emilia at a young age and Simon (2006).

A funeral Mass will be held at the St. Louis des Francais Roman Catholic Church, St. Louis de Kent on Monday, April 13th, 2009 at 4:00 pm with Father Robert Savoie officiating. Simonne Boucher
1926-2009
RICHIBOUCTOU-VILLAGE, NB – Simonne Boucher, 82, of Shédiac, formerly of Richibouctou-Village passed away at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton, NB on Saturday, April 4th, 2009. Born at La Fleur du Pommier in Cocagne, NB she was the daughter of the late Robert A. Goguen (1985) and the late Délina (Robichaud) Goguen (1978).
Simonne is survived by her children; René (Stella Richard) of Shédiac with whom she resided, Gisèle (Maurice Richard) of Moncton, Guy of Halifax, Bernadine of Dieppe, grandsons; Alain and Robert Richard. She is also survived by sisters; Roberta (Emery Arseneau) of Moncton, Carmelle (late Bruce Hay) of Ottawa, brothers; Paul (Irène) of Moncton and Jean-Guy (Lauria) of Cocagne. She was predeceased by her husband; Tilmon Boucher (1992) of Richibouctou-Village and a sister Bernadette Bastarache (1992) (Néri) of Shediac River.
After attending Bouctouche and St. Louis de Kent Convents, Simonne taught in a one room school house in St. Edouard de Kent and in Chockpish (now at the Village Historique Acadien). She also worked for Gérard Caissie (G. L. Caissie) of Richibucto and the U.M.F. in Cap Lumière. She was a member of Club d’âge d’or of St. Anselme and Richibouctou-Village, past member of Dorisol Choir of Richibouctou-Village.
Simonne enjoyed dancing, bowling and darts.
Resting at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto with visitation on Tuesday from 7-9, Wednesday 2-4 and 6:00 pm until departure for funeral. A funeral Mass will be held at the St. Antoine de Padoue Roman Catholic Church, Richibouctou-Village on Wednesday, April 8th, 2009 at 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations to the Palliative Care Unit at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Alzheimer Society or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
