Bruce Alan Bell
1941-2013
Bruce Bell, 71, passed away peacefully at the Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on May 16th, 2013 after a brief illness. He was born on July 19th, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of the late Alan F. and Clara M. (Kinnie) Bell. He spent his early years in Lorneville NB going on to work in Toronto, Ont., Washington, DC and later retiring to Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
He leaves to mourn, cousins Jean (Bell) Murray of Spencer, Mass., Donald Currie, Alma Steeves (Jack) of Moncton, NB and many friends in both Canada and the United States. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his life partner, Derle Gilbert.
A Committal service will be held at the Grey's Island Cemetery, Hillsborough NB on Wednesday, May 29th, 2013 at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart and Stroke foundation or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Stephen William Jenkins
1949-2013
Stephen William Jenkins, 63, of Edgett's Landing passed away on May 31st, 2013 at the Moncton Hospital with his loving wife of 41 years by his side.
Stephen was born in Saint John on August 28th, 1949 the son of the late Charles and Doris (Cumberland) Jenkins. He was a jack of all trades and enjoying his retirement. He loved the outdoors. He spent many hours with his wife bicycling, hiking, cross country skiing, snowshoeing and gardening. He was a beloved husband and father who will live on in the hearts of his loved ones forever.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Faye (Cosman) Jenkins of Edgett's Landing; son, Troy Jenkins (Heather) of Halifax; sister, Joyce Wilson of Kingston Peninsula; brothers, Donald Jenkins (Eleanor) of Hampton and Eugene Jenkins (Dianne) of Kingston Peninsula. He will also be missed by several nieces and nephews.
Honoring Stephen's own wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service.
Donations in his memory to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.

Benjamin Johnson
1934-2013
Benjamin Johnson of Forest Dale Home, Riverside-Albert passed away peacefully on June 6, 2013 at the home.
Ben was a great friend to many at the home and they all appreciated his great sense of humour and his love of music. He will be deeply missed by his nieces, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces, great great nephews and all the residents and staff of Forest Dale Home who became his family.
Their will be a graveside service held on Wednesday, June 12th, 2013 at 2:30pm at the Mountain View Cemetery, Lower Cape, NB.

Wayne Elwood Joel Steeves
1948-2013
Wayne Elwood Joel Steeves, 65, of Riverside-Albert passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 13th, 2013 at the Dr. Georges L-Dumont Hospital with his loving family by his side.
Wayne was born in Riverside-Albert on April 6, 1948 the son of the late Roy Steeves and Cecilia (McDuff) Steeves of Moncton. He was a Heavy Equipment Operator with Modern Construction for 42 years. Wayne was very talented and enjoyed wood working and took great pride in fixing up his home, building cupboards and anything else that needed done. He enjoyed hunting and camping and being outdoors. His main priority in life was spending time with his granddaughters, Anna, Natasha, Shannon, & Emily, they were definitely his reason for living. He loved to see his girls and they lightened his days so much. He will be remembered for being a loving Husband, Dad and Gramps, for his great smile and sense of humour. He would want everyone to remember all the fun and good times they have had over the years and to know he is now at peace. " What we keep in memory is ours forever."
Besides his mother he will be deeply missed by his wife, Donna (McDonald) Steeves; daughter, Tammy Dixon (Paul) of Lower Coverdale; son, Todd Steeves (Jill) of Riverside-Albert; sisters, Terry Thibeau (Mike) of Memmramcook, Pam Lloyd (Stephen) of Woodstock; step-sister, Edith Lirette (Leroy) of Scoudouc; brothers, Philip Steeves (Hazel) of Moncton, Pastor Danny Steeves (Marilyn) of Moncton, Brian Steeves of BC; step-brothers, Patrick Steeves of NFLD and Roy Jr. Steeves of Moncton; brother-in-law, Bernie McDonald of Riverside-Albert and by all his extended family. He will also be missed by several nieces and nephews.
He will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Sunday, June 16th, 2013 at 2:00pm with Barb Haire officiating. Following the service the family will be meeting with relatives and friends for further sharing of memories and for refreshments at the funeral home. Interment will be held in the Holy Ghost Cemetery, Hopewell Hill at a later date.

Wayne Hendy
1943-2013
Wayne Hendy, 70, of Moncton and formerly of Hopewell Cape passed away on June 17th, 2013 at the Moncton Hospital.
Wayne was born in Neepawa, Manitoba on February 1st, 1943 the son of the late George and Neta (Lyman) Hendy. He was a member of the Hillsborough United Church but attended the Steeves Memorial United Church after he moved to Moncton. Wayne worked at T. Eaton & Company for 15 years, Alcan Building Products and last worked for the Department of Transportation until his retirement. He was active in the Hillsborough United church having served as Trustee and in Session. He was a Director on the Board at Mountain View Cemetery. He was a sports fanatic and enjoyed all sports, bowling, curling, hockey, golf and baseball he played all these in his younger years and still loved his golf and bowling. He also enjoyed being outdoors, camping and snowmobiling and his four wheeling. Wayne was the type of guy who you never had to ask his opinion, he would tell you what he thought whether you asked or not, he had a great sense of humour and great laugh. He loved to tease and joke around. The most important thing in Wayne's life was his family, he treasured the time they shared and his grandchildren were very special to him. He would definitely want all his family and friends to look back on all the good times and have a laugh or two remembering the fun they had. " Treasure the memories'.
He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Betty (Steeves) Hendy; daughter, Krista Steeves (Robert Parker) of Salisbury; grandchildren, Justin & Amanda; brother, Ralph Hendy (Rhona) of Caledonia Mountain. He will also be missed by his nieces, church family and many friends.
Honoring Wayne's own wishes there will be no visitation. A Graveside Service will be held at the Mountain View Cemetery, Lower Cape, NB on Thursday, June 20th, 2013 at 2:00pm with Rev. Wayne Smith of the Steeves Memorial United Church officiating. Following the service the family will be meeting with relatives and friends at the Albert County Funeral Home for further sharing of memories and for refreshments, everyone is welcome to come and join the family for the graveside service and reception.

Harris O. Rossiter
1930-2013
Harris O. Rossiter of Forest Dale Home and formerly of Germantown passed away on July 2nd at Forest Dale Home with his family by his side.
Harris was born in Hopewell Hill on February 10, 1930 the son of the late James and Anna (Doyle) Rossiter. He was a member of the Holy Ghost Catholic Church. Harris worked as a truck driver in his earlier years, he worked at Hotel Beaujesour and also drove school bus for 33 years until he retired. Harris enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He was known for his stories and boy could he get people going, he loved to tease. He enjoyed bingo and playing cards and also had a love of music often getting out the guitar at the kitchen table.
He will be missed by his daughters, Theresa Tanner (Jim) of Bass River, NS, Loretta Hawkes (Raymond) of Hillsborough, step-daughter, Marie Dixon (Gene) of Riverside-Albert; sons, Carl "Sam" Rossiter (Debbie) of Lower Cape, Jeff Rossiter (Penny) of Germantown and Randy Rossiter (Diane) of Germantown; his 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; sister, Annie Howey (Tom) of Ontario; brother, Lester Rossiter (Melda) of Riverview; sister-in-law, Bertha Rossiter of Lower Coverdale. He will also be missed by several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Marjorie (Milton), daughter, Laurie; granddaughter, Heather, step grandson, Jeff; brothers, Duncan, Donahue and Hilyard.
He will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A Prayer Vigil and time of telling stories will be held at the funeral home, Thursday evening at 8:30pm.The Funeral Mass will be held at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church on Friday, July 5th, 2013 at 11:00am. Following the service the family will be meeting with relatives and friends at the Riverside-Albert Recreation Center for further sharing of memories and for refreshments. Interment will be in the Holy Ghost Cemetery, Hopewell Hill, NB.

Nettie Catherine Goguen
1943-2013
Nettie Catherine Goguen, 69, of Moncton passed away on June 15th, 2013 at the Moncton Hospital with her family by her side.
Nettie was born in Moncton on November 26th, 1943 the daughter of the late Alonzo and Florence (Beaumont) Steeves. She was a housewife and loved times spent with her family. She was known for her famous dressing and no one could make it like her. She enjoyed the outdoors and picking berries. She loved to keep in touch with family and friends and would talk on the phone. Her favorite thing was going for drives in the country and stopping for a meal along the way. She had a special place in her heart for animals and especially her dog, Goldie. She will live on in the hearts of her family forever.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, Fred Goguen; daughter, Cathy Sherrard (Brad) of Moncton; son, Fred Goguen Jr. (Kelly) of Moncton; her precious grandchildren, Shally, Amelia and Freddie; sister, Lillian Milton of Albert Mines; sisters-in-law, Anne Steeves, Betty Steeves and brother-in-law, Vaughn Milton; special niece, Roberta Alcorn (Bernie) of Riverview. She will also be missed by several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by brothers, Ernest, Jack, Lloyd; sisters, Lena, Elizabeth, Gloria, Martha and Sylvia.
Honoring Nettie's own wishes there will be no visitation. A Celebration of Life and Memorial Service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 19th, 2013 at 2:00pm with Pastor Paul Steeves officiating. Interment will be in the Albert Mines Baptist Cemetery, Albert Mines, NB.

Leslie Vernon Stevens
1921-2013
Leslie Vernon Stevens, 92, of Hillsborough and formerly of Curryville passed away peacefully on June 14th, 2013 at the Moncton Hospital with his loving family by his side.
Les was born in Memel, Albert County on May 17th, 1921 the son of the late Truman and Annie (Crawford) Stevens. He served with the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders in WWII, having served in France, Germany, Belgium and was involved with the liberation of Holland. He was a member of the Hillsborough Canadian Legion, Branch # 32, always being there when needed for any service. He was a devoted member of the Albert Mines Baptist Church . having been Deacon for many years. He loved to read the scriptures about his Lord and Saviour. He was also a farmer and worked for the Department of Agriculture until his retirement. He was a past member of the Historical Society and was a member of the Hillsborough Senior Citizens. He was a small man in stature but he had a very big heart. He loved his family very much and thought the world of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is now walking the streets of gold. "See the new life I am beginning and not the one I have ended."
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Eileen (Fenton) Stevens of Hillsborough; son, Carl Stevens (Shirley) of Riverview; daughters, Peggy Clements (Maurice) of Point Du Chene, Chrystal Beaumont (Bill) of Edgett's Landing; his precious grandchildren, Carla, Sarah, Ben, Bailey and Darcey; great grandchildren, Aidan, Carter and Thaddeus; step-children, Joe Fenton (Peggy) of Moncton, Cathy Higgins of Curryville and Tim Fenton of Curryville; step-grandchildren, Aren, Tia and Nick; sister, Vivian Dixon (Tom) of Hopewell Hill; brothers, Merrill Stevens (Sylvia) of Lower Cape and Victor Stevens of Riverside-Albert. He will also be missed by several nieces and nephews and by all his extended family.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his first wife, Doris (Smith) Stevens; second wife, Gwyneth (Willett); grandson, Justin Stevens; brothers, Melvin, Eddy, Len and Durley; sisters, Golda and Ruby.
He will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Sunday evening from 7-9pm, Monday evening from 7-9pm. The Legion Memorial Service will be held on Monday evening at 6:45pm. The funeral service will be held at Albert County Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 18th, 2013 at 2:00pm with Rev. Jack Allen officiating and Pastor Paul Steeves assisting. Interment will be in the Hopewell Cemetery, Hopewell Hill.
