Peter Charles aka "Bear" & "Big Pete" Brewster
1944-2009
Pete Brewster, 65, of Hillsborough passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 21st, 2009 at the Dr. Georges Dumont Hospital.
Pete was born in Wheatley, England on June 18, 1944 the son of the late Kenneth and Frances (Barrett) Brewster. Pete was not only huge in stature but also had a huge heart. He would do anything for anyone, many saying he would give the shirt off his back. Pete was a proud member of the BACCHUS Motorcycle Club , he enjoyed riding his motorcycle and hanging out with the boys. He also enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing. He loved to cook, and was known for having every spice known to man in his cupboard. He will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
He will be deeply missed by his brothers, Bill Brewster of Harvey and Gilbert Brewster (Bernice) of Moncton; sisters, Daphna Wilbur (Harold), Dianna Young (Daniel), Darlene Brewster, sister-in-law, Shirley Brewster all of Hillsborough; several nieces and nephews. He will also be sadly missed by his BACCHUS brothers and many friends.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother, Eldon Brewster.
He will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Friday, July 24th from 6-9pm. The funeral service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Saturday, July 25th, 2009 at 2:00pm with Pastor Leonard Geldart officiating. Interment will be held in the Bayview Cemetery, Harvey , NB.
For those who wish donations to the Canadian Diabetes. Association or to charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Rupert Norman Haire
1950-2009
Rupert Norman Haire Rupert Norman Haire, 58, of Riverside-Albert passed away peacefully on July 25th, 2009 at the Moncton Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
Rupert was born in H.R. Grace, Nfld, on October 3, 1950 the son of the late Edward & Florence Anne (Warren) Haire. He was a member of the St. Paul's Anglican Church in Nfld. He served in the Armed Forces, Navy and Army from 1970-1984. He worked with the Department of Agriculture for the past few years. He was truly a jack of all trades, he enjoyed woodworking, making models, reading - he was a real history buff, fishing and hunting. He also had a special interest in boats and loved the water. You could also always find Rupert tinkering with old cars and trucks, he had a special Ford truck in his driveway that he took great pride in. He will be remembered for his great sense of humour, Rupert enjoyed joking around and making comments that always got him a second look. He also had a special place in his heart for animals. He was always ready for a cup of tea and good company. Above all things he was a man who loved spending time with his family, they were his world. He was looking forward to Brenda Anne's wedding next month and will now be there in spirit, wanting his little girl to know he will always be there. "Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us everyday, unseen, unheard, but always near." He was a truly beloved husband, father and grandfather who will live on in the hearts of his family forever.
He will be deeply missed by his loving and devoted wife, Barbara Haire; his cherished children, Sean Haire (Cleo) of Halifax, Warren Haire (Jill) of Halifax, John R. Cooper of Alberta, Bradley Cooper (Tammy) of Maine, USA, Darrell Cooper of Riverside-Albert, Amanda Cooper of Alberta and Brenda Anne Haire (Matthew) of Hillsborough; his treasured grandson, Anthony. He will also be missed by special cousins, Sylvia Berry (Scott) of Hillsborough and Norman Lockyer (Carol) of Deep Brook, NS; also by all of Barbara's family.
Honoring Rupert's own request there will be no visitation. A Funeral Service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 28th, 2009 at 2:00pm with Rev. Rob Salloum officiating. Interment will be in the Hopewell Cemetery, Hopewell Hill, NB.
For those who wish donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Friends of The Moncton Hospital- Oncology or ICU unit would be appreciated by the family.

Anna Matilda Boutilier
1917-2009
Anna Matilda Boutilier It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Anna Matilda Boutilier of K.E. Spencer Memorial Home, Moncton and formerly of Dawson Settlement, Albert County, NB on August 11, 2009.
Anna was born in Wilson's Cove, Guysborough County, NS on July 16, 1917 the daughter of the late John and Mary (Hartling) Wilson. She attended the Dawson Settlement Baptist Church. Anna thoroughly enjoyed her many visits to her childhood home in Wilson's Cove sharing her many memories with her family and friends. She was a beloved mother and grandmother who took great pride in her family and will be remembered for her kind and caring ways.
She will be deeply missed by her sons, Jimmy (Carol) of Glenelg, NS, Johnny (Theresa) of Dartmouth, NS and Billy (Anne) of Dawson Settlement; her daughter, Ada Raworth (late Larry) of Moncton; sisters, Hazel (John) of Ottawa, Rosalie of Dartmouth, NS; brothers, Edwin (Dorothy) of New Glasgow, NS, James (Edna) of New Glasgow, NS, Lawrence (Barbara) of Liscombe, NS and Morton (Ethel) of Wilson's Cove, NS; sisters-in-law, Elsie Conrad, Alieen Wilson and Beverly Wilson. She will also be deeply missed by her cherished 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild and by many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her beloved and loving husband, William; sisters, Winnifred and Ada; brothers, Harold, Frederick, Wilbert, Floyd and Everett; son -in-law, Larry Raworth; great granddaughters, Amy and Julie.
She will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Thursday, August 13th, 2009 at 1:00pm till the time of the Funeral Service at 2:00pm. Pastor David Ross will be officiating. Following the service the family will be meeting with relatives and friends for further sharing of memories and for refreshments at the funeral home. Interment will be held in the Dawson Settlement Cemetery, Dawson Settlement, NB.
For those who wish donations to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
Special thanks to the staff of the Moncton Hospital and of K.E. Spencer Memorial Home for their kindness and help at this difficult time, it will never be forgotten.

Rev. Walter "Wally" Fernley
1921-2009
Rev. Walter "Wally" Fernley Rev. Walter "Wally" Fernley, 88, of Woodstock and formerly of Riverview went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 17th,2009, he passed away at his residence, the Birch Haven Special Care Home, which is owned and operated by Wally's nephew and his wife, Brian and Darlene Murray.
Wally was born in London, England on February 12, 1921 the son of the late James and Helen (Wilson) Fernley. He served with the British Air Force for 5 years. He graduated from Bethany Bible College in 1949 after which he spent his life in the ministry. He was a founder of the Mission Work in Pakistan. He also stayed very active in various committees with the Bethany Bible College. He was last serving his Lord with his Church family at the Moncton Wesleyan Church. He was a very humble and kind man who did not like people to make a fuss over him. He will be remembered for his quick wit and his sense of humour, he loved to laugh. He was truly a great man who spent his life doing God's work. We are sure he is now hearing the words of the Lord: "Well done my good and faithful servant"
He will be deeply missed by his daughter, Heather Duley (Danny) of Bangor and son Michael "Mickey" Fernley (Kendra) of Saint John; his precious grandchildren, Scott, Katie, Sarah and Tracy; two great grandchildren, Natasha and Jessi; great great granddaughter, Rylee. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He will also be missed by several nieces and nephews and by the many friends he made over the years in ministry.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mabel; son, Graham and by several brother and sisters.
Honoring Wally's own request there will be private family visitation. The Funeral Service will be held at the Moncton Wesleyan Church on Tuesday, October 20th, 2009 at 2:00pm with Dr. L.D. Buckingham officiating. Interment will be held in the Hopewell Cemetery, Hopewell Hill, N.B. where he will be laid to rest beside his wife, Mabel.
Following the service the family will be meeting with relatives and friends at the church for further fellowship and refreshments.
For those who wish, In lieu of flowers donations to the Christian Food Bank, Bethany Bible College, Moncton Wesleyan Church Missions Fund or to the charity of the donor's choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Audrey Mae "Doll" Christopher
1931-2009
Audrey Mae "Doll" Christopher Audrey Mae "Doll" Christopher, 78, of Fundy Royal Manor, Hillsborough and formerly of Edgett's Landing passed away peacefully on October 22, 2009 at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital with her family by her side.
Audrey was born in Edgett's Landing on June 13, 1931 the daughter of the late Josiah and Grace (Steeves) Christopher. She worked at the T.Eaton Company for 24 years and later worked at the Hopewell Rocks as sales clerk for 20 years until she retired. Audrey was a very special lady. Her main focus in life was to care for her family and make sure all their needs were met, she often put their needs ahead of her own. She took great pride in her nieces and nephews and also had a special place in her heart for her great nieces and great nephews. She was a beloved Aunt Doll. She will be remembered for her kindness and caring ways.
"Your gentle smile and generous heart will live with us forever."
She will be sadly missed by her brother, Norman Christopher (Dorothy) of Edmonton, Alberta; several nieces and nephews; also by her precious great nieces and great nephews, Lewis, Grace, Aidan and Faith and by her best friend, Janet Wilson.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by six brothers, William, Lewis, George, Merle, Arnold and infant brother, Philip; and by her sister, Margaret Christopher.
She will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Friday evening from 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Saturday, October 24th, 2009 at 2:00pm with Rev. Carol Mullin officiating. Interment will be held in the Green Hill Cemetery, Edgett's Landing, NB. Following the service the family will be meeting for further sharing of memories and for refreshments at the funeral home.
For those who wish donations to the Juvenile Diabetes. Research Foundation , the Green Hill Cemetery or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Floyd Eldon Geldart
1934-2009
Floyd Eldon Geldart Floyd Eldon Geldart, 75, of Edgett's Landing passed away suddenly on October 22, 2009 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Floyd was born in Prosser Brook on July 2, 1934 the son of the late Eldon and Mabel (Hayward) Geldart. He was a forklift technician last working for Livingston Warehousing in Moncton before his retirement. Floyd loved the outdoors , hunting was his favorite thing to do, he also liked to fish and ride his four wheeler through the woods of Albert County. He had many stories about back at the camp. He was also known for his sense of humour he had a very dry wit. You could find Floyd at all the bluegrass and country music concerts around the area, he really enjoyed listening to music. He was also a handyman if anyone needed help to fix anything, they would just call Floyd. He had a special place in his heart for children and was known as grampy to many. He was a great man who will live on in the hearts of his family forever.
He will be deeply missed by his daughter, Suzanne Geldart of Moncton; special niece, Jodi Painchaud (Dennis) of Edgett's Landing whom Floyd and Marilyn lovingly raised; cherished granddaughter, Paula; he was also like a grampy to Rachel and Adam and great grampy to Griffin who will miss him dearly. He will also be sadly missed by sisters, Phyllis Hicks (Harold) of Dawson Settlement, Janet Black of Cannan, Helen Tilley of New Castle and Carletta Corey (Fred) of Petitcodiac; brothers, Vincent Geldart (Diane) of Edgett's Landing and Merlen Geldart (Carolyn) of Hillsborough; brother-in-law, Richard Steeves (Jean) of Edgett's Landing and Fred Steeves (Doris) of Sparta, Wisconsin; several nieces and nephews and by his special friend, Janet Wilson.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his beloved wife, Marilyn (Steeves) Geldart and by son, Kenneth.
He will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Saturday evening from 7-9pm. The Funeral Service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Sunday, October 25th, 2009 at 2:00pm with Pastor Leonard Geldart officiating. Interment will be held in the Green Hill Cemetery, Edgett's Landing, NB.
For those who wish, donations to the Green Hill Cemetery or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Doreen Letitia Weaver
1924-2010
Doreen Letitia Weaver Doreen Leticia Weaver, 85, of Kenneth Spencer Memorial Home, Moncton went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 17th, 2010 she passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital.
Doreen was born in South Portland, Maine on April 6, 1924 the daughter of the late Samuel and Vivian (Hoar) Sinclair. She was a homemaker and mother. Her family meant everything to her. Doreen loved doing crossword puzzles and seek words. Her faith was very important to her, she was a member of the Allison Baptist Church. You could tell from her tattered Bible that she took great comfort in the word of God. She will be remembered for her sweet smile and for her kind and caring ways. We are sure Doreen is now in God's presence and hearing "Well done my good and faithful servant."
She will be deeply missed by her seven children, Carvel of Hornby Island, B.C., Vivian of Christina Lake, B.C., Dana (Carla) of Moncton, Darla (Jud) of Moncton, Dawna (Graham) of Moncton, Ernest (Susan) of Moncton and Kelvin (Cheryl) of Red Deer, Alberta. She will also be sadly missed by her 17 cherished grandchildren and 15 precious great grandchildren.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Willard Weaver and great grandson, Kody Steeves (1999).
Honoring Doreen's own wishes there will be no visitation. A Celebration of her life will take place on Wednesday, January 20th, 2010 at the Allison Baptist Church at 2:00pm with Rev. Dave Morehouse officiating. Following the service the family will be meeting with relatives and friends for further fellowship and for refreshments in the church hall. Interment will take place in the Hopewell Cemetery, Hopewell Hill at a later date.
For those who wish donations to the Allison Baptist Church (Multi Site Fund) or the MS Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Debbie (Deborah) Ritchie
1958-2010
Debbie (Deborah) Ritchie, of Stoney Creek passed away peacefully on June 4th at the Moncton Hospital with her loving family by her side.
Debbie was born in Happy Valley Goose Bay, Labrador on September 2nd, 1958 and was the daughter of James P. and the late Shirley Marguerite (Dickson) Wright. Debbie worked for Saint Georges Anglican Church as the church secretary and was a member of a large church family.
Debbie was known for her great sense of humour and loved to laugh. Above all things, she treasured being a good wife and mother, and will be remembered for her uncompromising dedication to her family. Debbie was also the treasurer for Grey’s Island Cemetery for several years.
She will be deeply missed by her husband of 30 years Rick and daughter Heather Anne of Moncton, NB; brothers Jamie (Joanne) Wright of Unionville, ON, Philip (June Young) Wright of Dartmouth, NS and Douglas Wright of Moncton, NB; Sisters Gail (Liane Landry) Wright of Grande-Digue, NB and Kathy (Dale) Chapman of Riverview, NB. She will also be missed by her cherished nieces Sarah and Jessica Wright (daughters of Jamie and Joanne) and nephews Patrick and Lukas Chapman (sons of Kathy and Dale). Debbie was predeceased by her son, Robert Franklin.
She will also be remembered by Rick’s family including mother-in-law Dorothy (late Vaughn S. (Bunny) Ritchie), sister-in-law Debbie Teakles, brother-in-law Michael (Pauline Bernard) of Anagance, NB; nieces Tera (Theriault) Hevert and Amber Ritchie and nephew Jesse Ritchie. She is predeceased by her nephew Travis Theriault. She will also be missed by several great nieces and nephews.
Honouring Debbie’s own wishes there will be no visitation. A memorial service will take place at Saint George’s Anglican Church on Thursday, June 10th at 2pm with Reverend Chris VanBuskirk officiating. Interment will be held in Grey’s Island Cemetery, Hillsborough where she will be laid to rest alongside her beloved son Robert.
Donations to Grey’s Island Cemetery, Saint Georges Anglican Church, the Children’s Wish Foundation or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
