PACHIORKA – Lawrence (1932 – 2009). Lawrence was born on April 17, 1932 at Benson, SK and passed away in Estevan, SK on Thursday, January 8, 2009 at the age of 76 years. Lawrence was predeceased by his son Darrel Pachiorka in 1993; parents, Annie and Alex Pachiorka and brother-in-law Emil Miller. He is survived by his loving family: wife of 51 years, Joyce Pachiorka of Benson; daughter Diane Pachiorka of Whitehorse, Yukon, son Laurel (Rosanne) Pachiorka of Estevan; daughter-in-law Cheryl (Lance) Pearson of New Zealand; grandchildren: Darrel’s children, Jennifer, Derek and Brittany Pachiorka; Diane’s son Casey Barnhart and Laurel’s children, Harley, Marshall, Carolyn and Ryder Pachiorka; brother Edward (Darlene) Pachiorka of Stoughton; twin sisters, Mary (Tony) Nemec of Vancouver, B.C. and Elsie Miller of Weyburn, as well as nieces, nephews and many friends.
VISITATION will be held on Monday, January 12, 2009 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. from the chapel of Hall Funeral Services, Estevan. FUNERAL SERVICE will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. from the Church of God, Estevan, SK with Pastor Walter Engel officiating. Following a luncheon, interment will take place in the Benson Cemetery
(west of Benson). Procession will leave the church at approximately 2:30 p.m. Those so wishing may make donations to the Stoughton Apostolic Church Building Fund, Stoughton, SK or the Canadian Diabetes. Dennis David Moe
(July 18, 1944 - January 5, 2009)
MOE – Dennis David (1944 – 2009). Dennis passed away in Estevan, SK on Monday, January 5, 2009 at the age of 64 years. Dennis was born at Weyburn, SK on July 18, 1944. He was predeceased by his parents, Norman and Olga Moe and father-in-law Arthur Evenson. He is survived by his loving family: wife of 32 years, Linda Moe of Estevan; son Jordan Moe of Estevan; daughter Jina Abells Morissette (Paul) and their son Hudson of Calgary, AB; brothers, Willis (Arlaine) Moe of Saskatoon, SK and their children David (children Jessica, Samantha and Mikayla) and Tanya (Darren); Russell (Donna) Moe of Weyburn, SK and their children Garrett (Danielle) and Brandon; mother-in-law Violet Evenson of Estevan. VISITATION will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2009 from 7 – 9 p.m. and on Friday, January 9, 2009 from 9 – 11 a.m. in the chapel of Hall Funeral Services, Estevan. FUNERAL SERVICE will be held on Friday, January 9, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. from St. Paul’s United Church, Estevan, with Rev. Pat Wotton officiating. Cremation will follow and a private family interment will take place at a later date. Pallbearers are Bill Hahn, Aaron Turnbull, Brandon Moe, Garrett Moe, Kelly Steinke, Scott Benning and Grant Benning. All in attendance are considered Honorary Pallbearers. McLAREN – Lorne Aubrey (1928 – 2009). Lorne passed away at the General Hospital in Regina on Sunday, January 4, 2009 at the age of 80 years. Lorne was predeceased by his parents, Aird and Mildred McLaren; son-in-law Tom Schmidt; daughter-in-law Joan Marcotte; sister-in-law Beryl McLaren and great-grandson Presley Marcotte. GEORGE – On Tuesday, April 22, 2008, Harvey Joseph George, late of Redvers, passed away in Regina at the age of 70 years. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church, Redvers, by Rev. Francis Hengen. Interment will follow in the Redvers Town Cemetery. Yvette Marie Gervais
(June 9, 1931 - April 7, 2008)
GERVAIS – On Monday, April 7, 2008, Yvette Marie Gervais, late of Estevan, passed away in Estevan at the age of 76 years. Yvette was predeceased by her parents, Raoul and Regine Gervais; sisters Aline (Rene) Phaneuf and Yvonne LaCoste and brothers, Paul Gervais, Roland Gervais and Raymond (Clara) Gervais. She is survived by her brothers Joseph (Alice) Gervais of Estevan, SK, Edmond (Geraldine) Gervais of Macoun, SK and Lawrence (Donna) Gervais of Drayton Valley, AB; sister Angeline (Art) Friesen and sister-in-law Esther Colbow, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and special friend Kellie Harrison.
Prayer Service will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. from the chapel of Boire Funeral Home, Estevan. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 10th at 10:30 a.m. from St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, Estevan, by Rev. Fr. Lorne D. Crozon. Interment will follow in Souris Valley Memorial Gardens, Estevan. Yvette was the first-ever resident of St. Joseph’s Special Care Home in Estevan, and her family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff for their many years of loving care. TESSIER – On Wednesday, April 9, 2008, Henrie Joseph Tessier, late of Lampman, SK, passed away in Lampman at the age of 80 years. Henrie was predeceased by his parents, Maurice and Alice; son David; two brothers in infancy; sister-in-law Sylvia and brother-in-law Felix Gawel. He is survived by his loving family: wife of 49 years, Marie Tessier of Lampman; daughter Debra (Duane) Tomporowski; two grandchildren, Samantha and Will; four brothers, Phil, Armand (Rita), Everett (Darlene) and Br. Dominic; two sisters, Bernadette Gawel and Cecilia (George) McGillicky, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. RESLER – The families of Benno (Ben) Leonard Resler wish to announce his passing at the Lampman Community Health Centre, Lampman, SK on Saturday, August 16, 2008, a few days after his 96th birthday. Ben was born on August 8, 1912 in Landau Russia. He was predeceased by his parents, Emmanual and Marian Resler; wife Marion (nee Gress); brothers, Leonard, Frank, Emmanual and Pete and sisters, Kay, Eleanor and Madeline. Victor was predeceased by his parents, Roy and Marion Young; brother Arden Young and brother-in-law Glen Carruthers. He is survived by his loving family: wife of 39 years, Darlene Young of Bienfait; two sons, Wade Young of Estevan and Darcy Young of Estevan; siblings, Grace (Jim) Potter of Brandon, MB, Gordon (Merle) Young of Radville, SK and Mary Jean Carruthers of Beaumont, AB; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kon and Rose Stoppler of Bow Island, AB; sisters-in-law Peggy Willman of Gull Lake, SK and Debbie (Dale) Wheeler of Bow Island, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Nicolay (Houle), Mary Yvonne, our dearly loved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away on Thursday Aug. 21, 2008 at the age of 87. Mary was predeceased by her dearly beloved husband Roger in 1971, grandson Dane Jerred in 2005, great grandson Jacob Calnek in 1999, her parents Emma and Narcisse Houle, brothers Arthur and William Houle, and sisters Eva Delaney, Aurore Lambert, Bernadette Larmet, Adele Biesiada, Irene Dionne, Annette Houle, Helen Lamont, Noella Biesiada and Rose Langois.
