(Member and Past President of Oshawa West Lions Club) After a courageous battle with heart failure on Saturday, December 10th, 2005 at Lakeridge Health Corp. - Oshawa at the age of 67. Beloved husband of Jeanette Phalen (nee Bovair) of 46 years. Survived by his brothers John Phalen and his wife Linda of Ottawa, Perry Phalen and his wife Rosemarie of Bowmanville, Ted Phalen and his wife Betty Ann of Oshawa and by his sister-in-law Kathy Hand of Newcastle. James will be sadly missed by his friends, neighbours, many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sisters Audrey Kight, Judy Noble and by his brother Joe Hand.
