Peacefully after a courageous battle at Lakeridge Health-Oshawa on Sunday, August 8th, 2004 with his family by his side. Stan, in his 72nd year. Beloved husband of Shirley of 43 years. Loving father of David and his wife Barbara of Whitby, Stephen of Toronto and Michael of Winnipeg. Devoted “Big Poppa” to Matthew, Kasia, Jennifer, Scott and Garrett. Dear brother of Anthony (Agnes), Leonard (Veronica), Dominic, Ann Conkle and the late Bronis. He will be sadly missed by his sisters–in-law Barbara Poitras and Penny-Anne Seguin and his many nieces and nephews. Quietly, on Sunday, August 8, 2004 at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Port Perry, at age 81. Marion (nee Hill), beloved wife of Stan Rahm of Blackstock. Loving mother of Paul Rahm and his wife Anne of Kemptville and Carol and her husband Cameron Porter of Blackstock. Loved grandmother of 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. WADDELL, James Mackay -
Peacefully at Bowmanville Memorial Hospital on Sunday, August 8, 2004. Jim, loving husband of 57 years to Ruby (nee Wiskin) and father to David (of Whitby). Predeceased by his daughter Susan, parents Alice and David Waddell, and sister Elaine (of Owen Sound). He will be lovingly remembered by his sister-in-law Mabel Sexsmith, and brother-in-law Clarence Wiskin and his wife Nesta (of Kingston), as well as his nieces and great-nieces who he dearly loved. Jim was born in Owen Sound in 1920. He began his banking career there in 1939, but served in several communities including Ripley, Kingston, Toronto, Cookstown, Chatham, and Oshawa before coming to Ajax in 1966 where he was the Royal Bank's branch manager. He later transferred to the Toronto Head Office to work in the Real Estate Resources branch until he retired in 1980. Jim was a member of St. Paul's United Church choir for years. He was a member of the Ajax Rotary Club, the friendly volunteer behind the coffee bar at the Ajax Hospital, and a driver for the Canadian Cancer Society until his own health declined. Cremation.

Passed at his residence in Oshawa, on Saturday August 7, 2004. Richard Legros in his 59th year. Long time resident of St. Charles, Ontario. Richard started his business Intex Home Renovation in Kamloops, B.C. and expanded to Thunder Bay, Ontario. He closed this business in 1999 and moved to Stratford, Ontario where he operated a successful business, Four Seasons Home Improvement, until April 2004, when illness forced him to retire. Longtime friend of Darlene Legros (nee Perkins) of Cornwall. Loving father of Amanda Legros of Cornwall. Lovingly remembered by his grandson Bryden. Predeceased by his father Hector and his mother Amanda. Dear brother of Robert Legros and his wife Jenny of Whitby, Ontario, Daniel Legros and his wife Rose of St. Charles, Ontario, Michael Legros and his wife Lise of Montreal, Quebec, John Legros and his wife Mariel of Iroquois Falls, Ontario, Pierre Legros and his wife Monica of Whitby, Ontario, Claudette German and her husband Henry of Sudbury, Ontario. Predeceased by his sister Annette Robinson. Will be greatly missed by his brother-in-law Ken Robinson, many nieces and nephews and extended family. Proud and loving mother of daughter Nancy and her husband John F. Miller (Columbus) and son Neil and partner Edward D. Anderson (Oshawa). Cherished grandmother of Shane, Cheryl and Aaron Miller. Lovingly remembered by brothers Russell Foster (Kay) of Whitby and Jack Foster of Kirkfield and sisters Thelma Westlake (Jack) of Oshawa, Barbara Cochrane (Donald) of Hampton, Lois Nimigon (Steve) of Enniskillen, Jean Penfound (Lorne) of Whitby, and Judy Hunt (friend Josef Kartner) of Oshawa. Sadly missed sister in law of Rober W. and Selica Mesher of Cape Breton N.S., Charles F. and Lorna Mesher of Whitby, Clara Di Pede of Hamilton and Drusilla Gallagher of Toronto. She will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents, Carman and Evelyn Foster. Dorothy's greatest passions were her family, especially her three adoring grandchildren, family get-togethers and summers at the cottage on Canal Lake. She recently resumed her love of oil painting and completed several beautiful scenes.
