(Former member of the Club Loreley, Oshawa, Retired Nurses Assistant, Oshawa General Hospital). Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Tuesday December 16, 2003, Ilse (nee Kruger) at 85 years of age. Beloved wife of the late Horst Jendretzke. Ilse will be sadly missed by her Goddaughter Barbara Kavanagh and her family, Ted and Linda Marshall and family, Udah and Willie, Agnes and Otto, Ilse (of Cobourg) and her many other friends and neighbours who have shown so much love and support over the years. Ilse treasured every moment with them. Special thank you to Debbie McGunnigle at the T.D. Bank for all of her services over the past three years. Special thanks to the nurses on the 4th floor at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa for their wonderful care and support through this difficult time. Ilse enjoyed her many years of giving her time to the Salvation Army. At Ilse's request, memorial donations to the Salvation Army would be greatly appreciated and may be made through THE ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday December 22 and 11 a.m. in the Chapel at Mount Lawn Cemetery. Interment of cremated remains to follow.

Passed away with his family at his side following a brief and courageous battle with cancer at Lakeridge Health - Oshawa on Monday, December 15th, 2003 in his 59th year. Beloved husband of Christine, devoted father of Curtis, Adam and Brook, cherished son of Eileen Rowden, dear brother of Marilyn Pringle and her husband Don. Lovingly remembered by many relatives and friends. In February 2002 Jim retired from General Motors Service Parts Organization with 37 years of loyal service. Suddenly, at the Lakeridge Health Centre, Oshawa, Saturday, December 13th, 2003 in his 87th year. His distinguished medical career spanned many years. After graduation from McGill Medical School in 1942, he served as a Captain for 4 years in the Canadian Army Medical Corps. Alan then spent 5 postgraduate medical fellowship years in New York and Montreal followed by 27 years as a surgeon in Oshawa. He balanced his professional interests with his passion for his family, collecting antiques, square dancing and the outdoors. Alan will be missed by his wife of 60 years, Joyce Browne, his daughters Janice (Tom) Knowlton of Toronto and the Reverend Catharine Fulton (Jim Smellie) of Calgary, and by his grandchildren Kim Munn (Jeff), Tricia, Jeff and Andrea Knowlton, Sylvia and Alan Smellie and great grandchildren Scott and Ryan Munn. A celebration of Alan's life will be held at St. George's Anglican Church, Centre St. S., Oshawa, Wednesday, December 17, 2003 at 11 a.m. Memorial donations to the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated.
